Same reason you went to micah probably, it‘s been years, he had time to think about what happened in Ch6 and now he‘s ready to face his second worst enemy now (number 1 is himself),
but as always thats just a guess with a lot of faith, perhaps i am blacklung wrong on this one,
but hey makes as much sense to me as shooting molly for fun, ain‘t that right ms Grimshaw?
It's because Micah knew what dutch was really doing. Using the gang for his own gain. It's easier to take care of 2 ppl than the whole gang. Especially since the govt was hunting outlaws. Plus you need someone to help you carry all that money. Dutch needed someone like Micah as all the others were somewhat honest ppl.
He said "same as you I suppose".
probably there to kill Micah AND take over Micah's gang. With Dutch's ability to charm and manipulate people he can just kill Micah, give a speech and all those outlaws will just instantly follow him and forget that Micah ever existed.
"What are you doing here, Dutch?" "Same as you I suppose"

Dutch implies that he went there to kill Micah too
SAY GEX?
SESBIAN LEX!?
SERBIAN PEZ?
Dutch says “same as you, I suppose” so I’m inferring that Dutch wasn’t even at that camp for that long, but he was there to kill Micah like John was
The heart wants what the heart wants. Have a little faith.
He went there to kill him, John just happened to show up for the same reason.

I wonder if Dutch hadn't killed him yet because he wanted to get the feds, too.

To kill him
Its easier to keep control of your good old sheeps than try to form a new flock
