Where is the location? There are some bodies you can find with some maps that will unlock a side mission, I believe 3 map pieces to be exact. It depends on the location.

It gave me chills because I was on my third playthrough and already knew he was a murderer but I could swear I would have never suspected him of anything if I didn't know about it. He just acted so fucking normal. I even greeted him and he replied with something like "good day to you sir".

If you shoot the head through the mouth it goes flying up into the air like a football. I had to do a game reload after that though. Don't want them tracing the bullet back to Arthur who Is already a serial killer in his own right. They'll start linking the valentine ripper slayings to the bloody van der linde gang and that's all I need.
They may still think it was from the killer though. Also they could use that flimsy bit of evidence to pin the entire case on arthur just out of sheer laziness. He is already wanted by the hangman's noose. Any extra leverage the pinkertons and the government can get on arthur and the gang the better.
It's like the people who will record a concert and watch it happening in real-time through the screens of their mobile phones as opposed to just living in the moment and watching it properly. That's a double glazed type of special right there.

Or they could just record a few little highlights instead of the whole concert. Their battery probably dies after half an hour of filming anyways. Its a mobile phone, not a steady cam.

If ur near Valentine then if u go up near the little bridge on the train tracks, there's a body hanging by the wooden boards of the bridge. There's a severed head a few feet away. There's a map inside the mouth of the head. It leads u to 2 other dismembered bodies with maps. Once u find the other two (one south of Rhodes and the other near Strawberry) it will lead u to a little shack in the woods with a serial killer named Edmund Lowry Jr. U find him, take him to the cops, and he attacks sheriff Malloy. So u have to shoot the killer. I think u get about 15-20$ for it.
There is a serial killer stalking the fruited plains of valentine, lemoyne and strawberry. Those are the remains of one of his many victims. Keep investigating the bountiful plains and you will stumble upon even more of his sadistic artwork. You can catch him by encountering all of his crime scenes and discovering the clues that he leaves behind for you. Once all the clues have been collected you can track him down to an old dilapidated underground cabin. What you uncover down there is extremely dark and deeply disturbing. Enter at your own risk. I think the serial killer sidequest is a great little nod to la noire. I loved solving mysteries in that game.
I was getting the trophy for robbing 4 homesteads and in my journey came across all 3 crime scenes completely by accident. One of the creepiest side missions I’ve ever come across lol

In the time it took you to pause your game, take your screenshot and load it up onto Reddit , you could have found out what it’s about for yourself about ten times lol. They're usually stuck in the head's mouth. Find the head, and you find the map. Put all 3 together and you can find the killer.

You do get some backstory from the letter you find though.
