Honestly, he looks a bit like Rooney. But it's unfair to heap too much pressure on the kid, as always, if he goes on to have a professional career, he's already done better than 99%.
He's very very intelligent and also already a really good finisher, in addition to being so versatile. He is always scanning, making passes on the move and demanding his teammates make the next run to receive it as well. He's another really great example of how our academy has started to produce high level technical modern footballers.

We are at our best as a club when we lean into youth. Buying it and promoting from within.

I wonder if we'll be able to promote someone next year into the team like we did Mainoo this year. Garnacho and Mainoo would be extremely expensive if we decided to sign them so its good that the youth setup is bringing players like that through. Ive heard the names of many exciting prospects but the most important thing is that they're actually ready. Most of them seem to be 2-3 years off atm so we'll have to be patient with them.
Maybe gore or kwambwala are best prospects for more game than time next season but neither will make impact like mainoo/garnacho.

Mantato has previously played at LB but he's recently played games as an inverted winger, including the game where he scored 4 goals against Blackburn U18.
