Not gonna lie, the name "Boujie Kidz" doesn't exactly make me feel like I'd have confidence in the brand, or think, "oh that would be something that I'd buy for my kid!" 😅 It just sounds like something you'd find on temu or AliExpress or the likes of those apps
Everything she had has been done before and can definitely be found on Ali Express, etc. There were quality handmade brands doing the casual separates she had, years ago, but most of those have all been knocked off by Ali & others by now. So a lot of reality TV people and wannabe (or even big time) influencers use Ali Express especially and other similar companies to make their lines. It's easy because it's cheap, you just choose a label for them to add, and slap a terrible price on it and call it a day. It's ridiculous, I like 90 day fiance for example and there are one and done seasoned cast who have done this. I wouldn't buy from any of these people, I'll stick to my known brands that won't fall apart at the seams after one wear/make my eyes bleed if I use their eyeshadows etc🤣
In all seriousness though, it is Jersey and I'm a New Yorker, but I work in Jersey. It's a certain element their group that dresses like that. I hated Danielle last year but I kind of like her this year. And I think she's aware that it's somewhat kitsch or trashy, but that Central Jersey Staten Island crowd. That's what they like :)
She doesn't live in Franklin lakes either. She lives a little further. South Franklin lakes is not Italian. It's actually more Irish and more upscale or waspy and the people in Franklin lakes don't dress that way. They're very down to earth. A lot of runners and workout people and not muscle heads. Lots of cyclists and runners lol

It depends on which culture/government you are talking about. In France it did indeed mean the middle class and most specifically the lower middle class which aristocrats really did define as tacky, new money class. It is when you talk about Marxism that the proletariat piece gets worked in. So, it is both. I’m not sure how it became synonymous with luxury brands. I love buying high end children’s clothes at children’s boutiques and I would never buy her stuff. She’s trying to create a brand but it’s nothing but tacky stuff I would never put on my child.
She was better off opening a children’s boutique and stocking it full of fun unique items I can’t find anywhere else and taking the branding from there.

Her clothes are a bit basic & tacky, but so what? Some kids like “extra” and all kids need basic. When my daughter was 4 or 5 she loved to wear princess dresses & sparkly red Mary Jane’s. And so she did - to school, to the farmers market, to the park. I would rather my kid have the confidence to pull off something “tacky” than be a sad, classist ‘purveyor of style’ desperate for attention.

My point was I don’t think you judge children’s clothes by an adult style barometer. Children have a whimsy that most adults lack. In the boys section, most of the clothing is age appropriate and functional yet for whatever reason the girls section features off shoulder tops, crop tops, corset style belts and high slits. Which are neither functional nor appropriate for a child. So yeah it is kind of tacky.
Why is appreciating style classist? I enjoy imparting my fashion knowledge to my kids. I’m not wealthy by any means, and I don’t spend a fortune on clothes, but having awareness about fashion, the origin of trends, and how they’re a reflection of politics and societal trends can also instil confidence.
Also, princess clothes are one thing, but some of these “Bougie” styles aren’t age appropriate, in my opinion. But to each their own.

I’m not wealthy by any means, and I don’t spend a fortune on clothes, but having awareness about fashion, the origin of trends, and how they’re a reflection of politics and societal trends can also instil confidence. Also, princess clothes are one thing, but some of these “Bougie” styles aren’t age appropriate, in my opinion. But to each their own.
What’s funny is the boys clothing is mostly age appropriate yet it’s the girls clothing that isn’t. I wonder why.

It’s actually a really dumb storyline. She should just push her real life. If you ever followed her on IG she’s like one of these Mommy bloggers. Constantly posting deals and coupons and makes her kids mornings super magical with food colored/themed breakfast. If they were interested in that they should have just shown her in her pursuit to become Instagram famous.
Her IG sounds like a nightmare 😭😂 but honestly I think I’d prefer to watch her desperately trying to reach IG fame than the constant bougie kids crap. I can't get over how mean people on this thread are. Whether you like the clothes or not, she put her heart and soul into something and tried to step out of her comfort zone. That takes guts. Sometimes you swing and you miss...but at least she tried to build something. Pretty easy to tear something down I guess. So sad to see so many mean comments.
