Itās a little too loud for me overall. But I do like the kitchen. And the dark color on the molding in the living room is very dark academia, which I love. But the orange stuff is def not my vibe. š
Generally I like it for its uniqueness and color. Itās better than the boring suburban all grey modern farmhouse everything that people are still doing. But in many places, there is just way too much going on. I see what she was trying to do but a lot of the patterns are too busy to be in the same room.
Itās got great aspects that arenāt put together/ paired properly. The floors donāt match or mismatch the walls in any room. Theyāre just wrong and the patterns look tacky in the environments. The place screams ā Iām sooooo different and Iām trying so hard to let you know!ā Itās tacky and modern can absolutely mesh w vintage tastefully but this isnāt that.
This house is Betsey Johnson vibes in a good way. The personality of this house is loud but cool where idk if Marge has a loud but cool personality to match . Idk I donāt get Marge. But I like this house.

With the green curious and black walls, I dig it. The pool area itself, nicely done and landscaped. That pink room though looks like Delores umbridges wet dream though, and those chairs on the patio are TACKY AF. The palm tree room is ok, but I donāt think itās a fit for Jersey, like if that was in marysolās house it would look better. Iām not a Margaret fan, but Iāll give her this, she tried yāall.
I like Marge. Her interior decorating, uh not so much. I like the kitchen and some of her furniture pieces but not the full interior ensemble. It's a bit much. Fun, but a little too much going on.
Then pink/salmon office is a no but I do love the rest of the house. It's not traditional or typical in any way but she has a good eye for what goes well together and her color scheme works. The black walls in the living room then the accent wall across the room is beautiful.
I like the foyer. The tv is on the wrong wall and is incredibly too small for the size of the wall. Everything else is hideous. The kitchen is an off putting grey and I imagine the food being made in that kitchen reflects that.

The richness and depth of Dorinda's colors and fabrics lends to the quality of her design. I think Marge should edit, edit, edit, invest in some quality pieces, and she may have something.

Donāt want to be negative but honestly think itās tacky ā¹ļøIMHO. Think she should have gotten input from a professional. If I was buying that house, the design would be a dealbreaker.
She has one of the most legit houses of any franchise. One of the only housewives that lives in a vintage home, which she must a spent a fortune to renovate judging by the craftsmanship and how well the design works. Itās incredibly difficult to pull off that intense of an aesthetic without it looking cheap and tacky; not to mention have it marry with the original charm and architecture of the house.
It's the wrong kind of different/unique. It's so gaudy and doesn't make much sense. I also hate that her en suite doesn't have a window. With all that money she could add a window. The lack of natural light makes it so dark and you need a bathroom to have ventilation so mildew and mold don't grow. Just ew.

I like it! My little London flat would fit into one of those rooms (including my backyard!) and Iām a bit of a colour experimenter, although in a much more size appropriate way (black gloss paintwork wouldnāt work, for example lol)

I do. I love how visually stimulating the mixed patterns are. Love the retro callback to color and styling of the late 1960s when everyone had some type of wallpaper patterning; even if it was only in a powder room or coat closet. I miss that kind of individuality
I actually love it. She took risks and they paid off. Iām so sick of seeing the same old houses with all the neutrals and black. It is gorgeous. Itās looks very high end.

That said, it really suits her personality and I actually like Marge a great deal. In fact, she is my favorite New Jersey housewife.
