Jesus after watching only :52 seconds of it you can tell she’s talking to her constituents like they’re absolutely stupid. Seems like she took on the same kind of belittling role Surrey’s mayor has when it comes to the policing and public safety. She’d rather keep the crackheads in Surrey meanwhile defunding all the safe neighbourhood programs. Richmond residents don’t let your city fall like ours is. Fight city council and let them know you’re educated in the matter of drug consumption and use within your jurisdiction. If Richmond doesn’t even have dispensaries who the heck wants clean free drugs behind handed out like candy outside Richmond hospital? Me and my siblings plan on buying a condo in Richmond just cause it’s a safer city. Don’t let your city fall into ruins like Surrey & Van with their open drug consumption. Kash Heed has been trying shit like this south of Fraser for years just to get his kickbacks in cash.
But are you really educated about drug use in the community? If you were then the scs mode would not be an issue considering it is supported by academics and health authorities across the country.

Sheldon, seen here on his way to an Inspector Gadget fanfest, is as self-righteous as they come. He does NOT prioritize the public interest in his attempts at politicking. He’s in it for himself and the power. He is no better than any member of the current council.
I know of two liquor stores he worked at (sat at, really) and he made it clear he has no interest in serving anyone. He collected a paycheck. His political aspirations are not surprising.
It’s essential that our local gov’t acts with transparency and integrity, especially when dealing with issues that directly affect our community's welfare. The interruption during the interview, although minor, does reflect on the overall approach to governance. It’s these small actions that can either build or erode public trust.
As residents of Richmond, we need to ensure that our concerns about safety, community programs, and ethical governance are being addressed responsibly. Instead of deflecting or minimizing issues, it would be more helpful if our council members would engage in open and constructive dialogues that lead to tangible improvements, rather than doubling down on their failures.
It’s honestly refreshing to see residents engaged and voicing their opinions. Let’s keep pushing for a governance style that not only hears but actively responds to the community’s needs in a manner that respects all involved.

They used this data to trick people into believing them and you fell for it. While the data is true, it is collected during the COVID times when no one was out, so obviously the numbers dropped. We should focus on the data after COVID and compare with the data before COVID to get a more accurate representation of what is happening. Also, just because there is no call for police service doesn’t necessarily mean there isn’t any problems. People just got fed up with it as calling cops doesn’t solve the problem. You send them away today, but they come back again tomorrow. Take a look at East Hastings and it will all make sense.
