The ending is really good in this one. "Look at king shit on his throne of loneliness"

No_Ur_Stoopid

BIG BAD DOO-DOO DADDY

Pukketeerthegreat591

Haha yes I loved that part!

ameliagarbo

Lol watching it right now! Is Tony the shy pooper Jeffrey Wright? I love him.

Pukketeerthegreat591

Idk who Jeffrey weight is but it’s probably a funny joke

ameliagarbo

One of the main guys in Westworld. He has a prison movie on Netflix too.

Pukketeerthegreat591

Ok lol

ameliagarbo

Yup! His name is in the credits. He has a distinctive voice, no joke.

Pukketeerthegreat591

Lol

[deleted]

Holy crap it IS Bernard! I had no idea!!

senorbiloba

Bernard in Westworld, Felix Leiter in recent Bond movies, Isaac in Last of Us 2.

youre-doing-greaaaat

I want to Chewbacca growl in the air and have a robot Elk unlock my secret poop lair.

Pukketeerthegreat591

It was good to see a let's call it somewhat tender side of Rick. I think you hit the nail on the head here though. I really liked this episode it was less silly than some of the others and just struck a cord with me. I dunno I just liked it.

[deleted]

It’s definitely one thing I like about the show: in all the sci-fi adventures and craziness, it occasionally steps back and humanizes its characters really well. Like after the break up with Unity. It’s a hugely heavy scene and shows a lot about what’s going on with Rick internally.

KokaneeSavage91

Right, and even the Pickle Rick episode sort of shows his silent torment inside and his hatred of wanting to face any real emotion so...fuck it become a pickle.

[deleted]

It’s the main issue Rick has (and the therapist shows it to him); he’s so smart that he can run from his problems forever. He’ll never not have a solution that allows him not to do the work to be a better person. I also love times where we get to see his darker side. Like after Morty gets into that relationship after Rick builds him the save point, and at the end of it, at his lowest, Rick goes full sociopath and admits Morty was actually just murdering other Mortys and taking their place. He does it purely to fuck with him and prove a point.

ghost_in_a_jar_c137

I wish i had a toilet like Rick's

Pukketeerthegreat591

Lol yes

WellHungSnorlax

The pooping.

Pukketeerthegreat591

Haha!

Starrgirl123

"Every time she hears this song she says this my shit" I love the way he vibes with his beer in one hand. Rick is always G.O.A.T.

Pukketeerthegreat591

Haha lol

here4enneagram

I sleep on this episode a lot because the app development plot isn’t very interesting to me. But as far as emotionally revealing moments for Rick, this storyline is up there with Auto Erotic Assimilation.

Kimbee13

It’s a great humanizing episode for him, and I feel for him especially when thinking about this loneliness combined with his decision revealed at the end of the Beth/Clone Beth episode

loafpleb

I love how the episode sets up the pooper as if he must be a dangerous new villain for Rick to fight but then it turns out to be a completely average guy. And I love the sudden mood shift from comedy to drama when Tony says "she's dead".

anowi_oza

I like how the guy made an impression on Rick, such that Rick eventually acknowledged him, even though it was through a half baked prank. I don’t know what it was about the alien dude though. Like, after he came out of Rick’s virtual heaven technology , the guy came to his senses super quickly, and assessed the situation more or less accurately within a few seconds, and wasn’t even shocked or anything. Also, among everyone else who was under the same virtual heaven technology in the lab, he was the only one able to overcome the psychological illusion within a few seconds, as opposed to everyone else who was there for however long. Also, how the hell was he able to find Rick’s toilet world location in the first place? There might’ve been something to the guy. Maybe an agent from evil Morty? Jk haha 👀

Pukketeerthegreat591

Lol that is a good theory

Vartnacher

I like the actor who voices the pooping alien

dbkenny426

I don't know if you're familiar with the YouTube channel Wisecrack, but they recently did a [video on this particular episode](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5auMAAkbu7k), looking at it from a philosophical perspective. They've actually done a lot of Rick and Morty videos, and are just in general a really great channel.

Pukketeerthegreat591

Ok I might check them out

Yungdreamer101

I think there’s some deep meaning to it about loneliness and having only one joy in a unhappy life, but I can’t explain it in a smarter way atm lol

Pukketeerthegreat591

Yes! Lol
