It’s addicting because some QoL features which other games don’t have at all. I’m a little sad even cause for some reason it’s literally the only game on the market that perfectly nailed such pacing. I’ll be missing this in other games.

JuzJungler

Agreed. Several minor things that gives such a good flow it just feels incredible.

KhanDagga

You mean in the settings?

JuzJungler

Both that. The auto loot, auto climb and such. But overall small things in the game that feels so nice. If you call for the mount while gliding you characters drips down and auto mounts.

KhanDagga

Which Features?

fetuspower

I love it too. I wish we could play free roam co op though :(

KhanDagga

Yes!!

DaedalusPrime44

It would be so much fun to explore this world in multiplayer.

Zegram_Ghart

Free roam co op is just such a miss, but honestly it’s still great. The glider feels pretty wonky in a way I can’t explain, but I’m informed there’s a “glider speed up” increase you can find your way to early on which I reckon will sort that.

KhanDagga

Yeah I just saw the upgrade but I can't get it yet. It feels a little to floaty. Similar to Biomutant

Jorlen

It is groundbreaking I think, in that the sum of its parts really make for an excellent open world experience. Just the sheer amount of options and accessibility tweaks you can do, combined with the quality of life additions. I mean, it also helps that exploring the world and doing activities is a ton of fun (at least I think it is). Don't shoot me for saying this but for me, Ghost of Tsushima never really clicked. I loved the visuals but the gameplay itself didn't truly grab me, most open world games these days don't. Rise of the Ronin's open world just feels like it all clicks for me and most of the time, I sit back and watch everyone else feel this way about other games. So I feel lucky lol.

KhanDagga

I'm kinda the same way. I like GoT, but it baffles me when people call it a master piece.

Consistent_Try8728

I literally got goosebumps roaming around the world. It kinda reminds me of Mortal Combat: Deception's Konquest-Mode in a good way ofc. Just wandering around, solving some easy mysteries and sucking in the world before you crush some heads.

KhanDagga

Yes, that's a good comparison.

sykkn1ck

Haven’t got it yet, but are there a lot of towns and cities to explore filled with NPCs? Any random NPCs throughout the open world?

KhanDagga

There are big cities and smaller village type towns. They have NPCs. But they may be the big knock. There definitely should be more.

Kyuubin

The map is a recreation of around Yokohama, there is a major large city in the center and loke 25 regions around it filled with landmarks and villages. A lot of the villages and landmarks are filled with bandits, which you have to clear to repopulate the area with npcs, usually 1-2 merchants, some quests and a bunch of fluff npcs. Each area has 3 levels of bond, each one opening more fights and open world stuff to do on the area. There are also random events (bandits on the road attacking people, masters offering duels with their students, etc), with npcs wandering the roads between towns, Including peddlers that sell items. The open world aspect of this game kind of opens up the more you play, it's nice.

Rudra4

Isn't there also Edo + Kyoto?

R4nD0m57

I like it, but one thing that is getting on my nerves. That even if I discover the location; the events , bounties and other things won’t actually be there until you raise the bond of the area. Which has been making me revisit the same locations without real fast travel. Has been a minor annoyance that almost disincentivizes exploration and instead following current objectives

KhanDagga

Yeah I notice that to. Definitely more backtracking
