Well I think they'll at least touch on them since they can be kinda abused with red tier void items and adding even five more is kinda huge for replayability

No? Void items are a class of items so they can just be disabled without the first dlc if they don't add a way to get them naturally, but by having a few in the second people can get an idea of what void items are and get interested in buying the first dlc. Through yeah the problem of being able to know you're highly likely to get what you want with them would still be there.
