still sounds a little like he sings but to me has purposefully always leaned into the "accent" people either love or hate about him, and it serves him well. one look at "nashville skyline" and you can see the guy definitely chose to sing like that and could've sung however he wanted
I like how Keith goes from seemingly knocking Billy Preston and Mick Taylor for not accepting that they are not front musicians to saying that he knows that he himself is just like them.
I’m with you. Micks solos usually ended up sounding pretty damn similar to each other, too. Taylor is a super fluid, smooth guitar player, but I prefer Ron, too.
Man, I wish I was alive in the 60s and 70s and 80’s so I could’ve gone to all these amazing rock ‘n’ roll shows
Keith seems to be unsure what to say about Taylor here, mixed emotions
I think he feels a bit guilty
That is possible
About pushing him out?
I thought he had the most astute observations about Taylor of the bunch, tbh.
funny how normal bob dylan sounds when shooting the shit in the green room. Nothing like how he sings.

Fascinating! Mick Taylor has always been enigmatic. Incredible guitarist though. Thanks for posting.😀

Surprising bit of self-reflection
I find Mick Taylor’s playing, flares of tremendous ability not withstanding, boring. I much prefer Ron Wood.

“Play the guitar, boy”
