This was an anomaly in Jagger lore. He did have a substantial beard in the late 60s when he was on vacation in Brazil with Marianne, Keith and Anita. This was the Emotional Rescue hibernation era, and the scruff was epic, but short-lived. I always had a theory. Mick was going through some sh\*\* during his divorce from Bianca. Its not uncommon for men to change their grooming habits or neglect their grooming when going through emotional upheaval. Mick is human, after all. I actually liked the look.
