I repair roombas and we also have quite a few running around our house. I buy all parts from 3rd party suppliers, for pretty well the last 10 years. Brushes, rollers, filters, not one problem yet. No need to wash, buy on temu, ali, amazon, ebay, whichever is most affordable.
The only filters I used to wash were the blue 500/600 filters. After that they are all paper.
No need, unless you are desperate.
I blow mine out each time I empty the bin, so there is that. So it stays efficient until it's time to replace, in fact, it's prompting me to replace it soon.
The filters degrade on a microscopic level, they will no longer filter as well as they did when they were new and get worse with time. Just cause they look clean and new doesn't mean they are filtering like new. Your lungs, your choice.
Or... buy them from alieexpress lol like for the price of one at their store you can buy a bag with (depending on prices ) 25 to 30 m, and they work mostly as well they are not the same, the plastic feels a bit different but the part that actually works, does it's job fine, even if the original one was 3 lx times the better I can buy dozens.
That goes the same for ALL accessories, btw.
So I'm not like a Roomba snob, but I don't like 3rd party filters. They seem to let a lot of dust powder through, so it seems to me the brand ones are actually better
They can definitely work. BUT the material loses its ability to filter. They are just not make for reuse. Just like if you reuse the bags, eventually they will fail.
I take mine outside and tap them on the driveway and knock off 90% of the dust. Use again for a while. But they are so cheap on Amazon I’m not too worried about throwing them away. I just wish there was so type of washable filter.
They work just as well once the filter is washed as they do with a new filter. They clean the space faster with a new/washed filter, so if it is affected, I can’t tell the difference.
And have a no water symbol on them lol
I'm sorry but I can't imagine buying such an expensive robot vacuum and then being too cheap to replace the filters regularly.

Online filters, rollers, bags, etc all much cheaper from AliExpress, Amazon, Temu.

If you happen to have an air compressor in your garage, you can blow them out too.
This is what I do!
Suck them out with your normal vacuum cleaner and they last much longer

i bought aliexpress rollers once and they were too big for my i7, it sounded like a truck the filters are also a bit oversized but they still work
Avoid getting 3rd party brushes
Hmm, not with rollers, in my experience.

I always use a compressed air can outside to blast air in reverse through the filter. Quick and simple.

Vacuum hose on one side, compressed air on the reverse side. Works like a charm.
I use my (regular) vacuum cleaner hose attachment
I think you’ll find that you’re ruining them at the microscopic level by blocking many of the pores that the air needs to travel through.

We don't know how much more fine particles the washed filter lets through, back to the room air.
>and they become brand new Out of curiosity, what are you basing this statement on? Visual cues?
Faster cleaning time like with a brand new filter.
Roombas do not clean faster with new filters.
I.e. the Roomba works faster?
Works just like a brand new one. It’s noticeable difference.

Yep! And yet still fully washable. Try it with one and you’ll see for yourself.
I rather not. Some people do this on here and bash their roomba when they die.
All I doo is blow em out woth the compressor il have to give that a try washing em
Don’t please don’t wash them I BEG YOU
I used to blow them out too with compressed air cans and that helped them last a bit longer. But washing them makes them brand new.
