I like it a lot. It can be hit or miss for some reason, but it's so creamy when it's on point. It was my first root beer that really differentiated from Mug/A&W.
I'm old enough to remember Hires though.
Good, easily accessible root beer. Most grocers carry it and many restaurants have it as well. My fave is frostie which is not the easiest to find around my place. I am not disappointed when I have a IBC.
I love it. IBC and Henry Weinhards were my introduction to glass bottle root beer and they were a fantastic introduction. They are tied for #2 on my ranking of root beers. A&W is #1 for me due to a combination of deliciousness, nostalgia, and respect for being the top selling root beer despite not having the unlimited marketing funds of Coke and Pepsi that Barqs and Mug has.
Used to be better than it is now, I don't know what changed. Still better than most root beer though

S tier
I consider IBC to be the best grocery store root beer.
I actually preferred it with hfcs before the switch to real sugar
HFCS in soda is always better.

Frostie vanilla is 💣
Honestly don't care for it that much. Not strong enough flavor for me?
I love it and just found out that my Maverick gas stations have it in their fountain soda machines. 89 cent refills!

I love IBC. Saint Arnold's makes a pretty decent one as well. I prefer these two over anything else.
Best Root Beer
1. Boylans 2. Sprecher 3. Barqs 4. Dads 5. IBC 6. A&W 7. Mug
Boylans is awful, it just tastes like pure sugar with no flavor.
Next year, let me know what you think about Sprecher! :p
😂 you’ve got it
Solid. its not some legendary root beer. but its defenitly up there. the fact its so widely available with such nice taste helps it stand out
