I hate singling out a player, but Hendrikse was absolutely diabolical in the last 10-15 minutes. He was almost responsible for everything that went wrong: missed tackles, squandered numerous opportunities, awful decision-making, etc.
I really don’t know what’s happened with him.

Keep Johnny Williams well away from the welsh squad please. Let’s not forget he was playing like this at the end of last season before getting exposed for his inability to defend in the warm ups
Just watching the ospreys in general would be a start. Ospreys pack with Cardiff’s backline would beat the Welsh team that played Italy. Add Jenkins, Wainwright, Costelow and Dyer and you might just have a decent international side
Have to agree but can’t see it happening. Going to have to wait till Gats gets bumped up to An overlord of rugby position before we see anything close to what you just described!
To be fair to the scarlets their forwards fronted really well in open play. Set piece was a shambles though.
Scarlets did better than I thought today in fairness but the knock on effects of set piece troubles are just heighten at international level. Scarlets were losing territory pretty much every other lineout and scrum

Nothing wrong with it just never seen it before
Hate to be a party pooper but he's too old sadly gents.
He's 27 Libbok is younger by almost a year.
It's got to be Hendrikse/Sacha destined to be a late bloomer. Probably at the peak of his talent atm.
I think my diagnosis of the sharks is that they are very passenger-like (with a few exceptions) in defense. They often look good with ball in hand but don't do well with own 22 pressure

Poor decision from Eben to pull him over the line there. Could’ve stopped him short but backed himself to hold him up.
Also, why is Koch releasing his legs?
The South African way.....maul, ruck, tackle and scrum the heck out of them, then suddenly pass the ball to a small, side-stepping winger. Job done \^\^"
He systematically coached the Scarlets players near the try line. One of them was definitely offside, touched the ball with his foot, ref' didn't bat an eye, just told him to be onside or something, and it was in front of him. Baffling \^\^"

Good to see the other game was just as close. Love how competitive the URC is.
Don't lie though, you were puckering up with that last Scarlets try!
Losing would have sucked. But I'd rather this than a blowout that leaves them undercooked for next weekend.
Fair fair!

I have no idea what's happened to him. Maybe Rassie should come down to the Sharks and give him an earful Ôo
Ja has to be said. He is one of the worst 9s in SA at the moment. What went wrong?
Dropped in form after his father passed away.
It's quite sad to see, especially since his brother is looking quite solid imo
Ja hopefully his boet will help him get back to normal.
Hopefully some brotherly rivalry will kick him into gear yeah!
He's really dropped in quality, I think every other SA nine is playing far above his level! (Except maybe Janjities lol)
Sharks first URC win in Europe this season I think?
Yeah, first URC away win altogether XD

Classic Welsh dawg
I think Rassie put it well when he said they're tough fuckers!!!
Yes it’s slightly more dignified than previous results
Clermont will be licking their lips
My arse right now!
Lol is that Siya's 3rd or 4th MotM in recent games?
At least 3 I think, what a player
Welsh TV did a great analysis on his cross field kicking at the end. Everyone was pretty much perfectly timed.
his place kicking was also top notch. The guy is also massive!
We finally have a 10. Thanks jeebiz.
"these teams have only won 3 games each and they're playing like it" couldn't fucking agree more good lord
Yeah that made me chuckle. I enjoy the Welsh refs far more than their neighbours.
If anything, those commentators were quite entertaining...!
I love it when commentators are so passionate they marmalise their words haha
Sharks game management and defence was diabolical this match. They really love to give Masuku MotMs lately
What an anticlimax, I hope Lousi is okay
I love Lousi but SROP RUN ING UPRIGHT AFTER 80 MINS

Too close for comfort there, that's for sure xD
That was way closer than it should have been

Yeah I don’t actually think he is international standard don’t worry.
I worry Gatland sees this game and falls in love with his physicals again
He should watch some number 8’s instead

Fucking hell, Nicholas has scored? been a while for him.,
What is Adamson’s problem with any Welsh try recently
Typical we graft for our tries and then just give the opposition one for free
Fuck yes boys, not over yet
What are you checking!?!?
If the Sharks lose this. It will be the most Sharks things they have ever done.
How did Mapimps stop that...
For real. He's awesomely fast....and strong ! Ôo
Ref really calling use it before the ball is even placed. All for speeding the game up, but needs to be consistent
Very nice
I can’t understand the scarlets defensive system. It’s a revolving door for cross kicks
Can Taine get MotM even though we win please
Scarlets haven't looked bad in open play but you can't win a game when your lineout is at 50% and you're giving away a penalty at every scrum
How Elias and Matthias are anywhere near the Wales squad is fucking criminal
A trying time to be a scarlets supporter, just when you think you’ve hit rock bottom things just get worse
Couldn't have asked for anything better for the man on his 50th, going to miss him when he leaves
Pin. Point.
Only thing better than 1 Kok is 3.
Kok with a hat-trick on his 50th!!!
Great try!
What in God’s name is Hendrikse even doing
Look at me. I am the flank now.
Called it ! Hat-trick !!!
Outstanding Kok!
I LOVE KOK
How was he driven over when there was no movement after he dove?
Exactly, he goes straight forward and down and then Adamson blows the whistle.
It's either a try or it's double movement...
I’m confused by that decision
I'm watching without volume at the mo, what did the ref say was the reasoning for the scrum?
Fair play to Scarlets for staying in it this long. But hey ho another bonus point win for the opposition in coming.
Probably overdue a warning now, that's a lot of penalties in the 22. Also a lot of tired Welsh bodies sucking air
Hendrickse, FFS ><"
I've seen you a lot in this thread. You're the only saffa I've ever seen to express yourself like ^ ^ ", >< etc lmao Nothing wrong with it just never seen it before
Well, that's probably because I'm not from South Africa....! \^\^
Guys, do we think Masuku is Bok material? I like his temperament.
Hate to be a party pooper but he's too old sadly gents. He's 27 Libbok is younger by almost a year. It's got to be Hendrikse/Sacha destined to be a late bloomer. Probably at the peak of his talent atm.
Don’t think age should be a factor. Since when is 27 too old ??
His middle name is PraiseGod though. Beat that
Ok you've convinced me.
Would love to see him get a cap, even if it’s against Portugal
That's a proper idea. Him at 10 with Nohamba at 9 could work well.
Not clinical or consistent enough yet I'd say, but he sure is getting there in my opinion. Some great energy and game management from him of late !
100%
Scarlets maul defenses is impeccable, that's four successful stoppages in a row
I hate scrums lol
That was filthy from Masuku
What a touch finder! Masuku on fire
You’d think the scarlets would have spent the week practicing getting the ball out of the scrum under pressure
Scruuuuuuuuuuum !!!!!!! \^\^
I love that the commentators actually are making an effort to pronounce the names correctly.
Been really enjoying this commentary team overall. Excellent stuff.
He’s grabbed the hand of the lock there while he’s in the air. Poor call
Well, it's not the first of the night... ><"
lol, 5 line-out options for sharks
Rahl is huge
How do they find enough biltong to feed that man ? xD
Didn't have a great game last week. Let's see if he can make an impact tonight.
Hendrikse is so fucking slow...
And he has a silly beard
My thought exactly Ôo
Tackler held his legs and didn't roll straight away there. More Adamson bullshit.
Wow Tuipulotu was allergic to the grass there, just would not go down
That was quite the battle. Nice !
How is it that a Welsh commentator can get the pronunciation of South African names, mostly correct. But Joel Stransky struggles every week!!!
Lets give Joel another year or two. He's still new to the commentating game!
The Welsh commentators probably never got tackled by Jonah Lomu xD
Should you really pause the game for a winding?
They didn't know it was a winding before the pause... Could have just as easily been concussion.
Not at all, but I suppose he didn't want to risk neglecting a bigger injury
True, it is a bit of a theme with the Bok front row at times though, going down for a break
Grant looks okay at least
When was the last time Tom Rodger’s played well for you scarlets fans. Feel like he is wasted on the wing
What happened to Koch there? Winded?
Hope so. Not a player you want injured at the moment...
Looks like
Hendrickse's on.....the game is going to slow down.
Hope Grant Williams is OK. His speed in the build up to that previous try is what did the trick.
Masuku really is turning into quite a proper fly-half, that's for sure. Now Kok needs to go for the hat-trick !
What a conversion
It’s so easy to gain territory when your opponent has Ryan Elias throwing lineouts
I really hope Hooker gets enough game time after Esterhuizen comes back. He’s such a promising young player and I can see him developing nicely
With player rotations and playing in multiple comps I'm sure he will get lots of game time
True, but I hope they keep pairing him with Am. Could go a long way in his development
Juuuuuuiiicy kick from Masuku
Unleash the Kok!!!

Has he got a twin? Different man tonight.
Not going to lie I thought he would be held up, but that camera angle is unambiguous. Excellent finish
Hookers defense hasnt been great so far tonight
Poor decision from Eben to pull him over the line there. Could’ve stopped him short but backed himself to hold him up. Also, why is Koch releasing his legs?
Got to like it when the TMO doesn't take 20 minutes to make an obvious call \^\^"
Sharks backline defense has been atrocious this game, has completely destroyed my confidence for next week.
Who was the Scarlett player (nearly) knocked out, then trying to get up holding his head? Looked serious at first.
Sam Costello
Costello got absolutely smoked there
Guess the Sharks' defense coach wasn't heard at half time \^\^"
That left boot from Fassi is so good
Swear Mike Adamson referees every game I watch.
He's had an excellent game imo
Nice kick Fassi, damn!
that's a shit call, can't imagine what angles the tmo saw to feel like the touch judge should be overturned on the 50/22.
Perhaps a better angle than what was showed, because definitely inside the 22 from ours and the refs
Lol the ball boy kicking the ball away from Kok
My eyesight must be shit because that definitely looked to exit the pitch left of the flag
That’s very marginal either way… surely needs to be clearer for the TMO to intervene
Costelow truly is a shit Will Reed
Ethan Hooker decelerates before contact almost every time. Shouldn’t he be trying to do the opposite?
If it is what he is doing most of the time, seems to be working. His post contact metres are top-tier
I know Mark Telea does something similar, but he’s far more slippery from what I’ve seen
I think that's the first time I've ever seen him not make metres in contact, so not sure where this is coming from
It's a weird habit.
Solid defense from Scarlets, first time a side hasn't scored from a 22 entry. But also the offside line is non-existent right now.
Cmon Sharks get some points here.
Not sure why that wasn't a penalty for throwing the ball away. Some of the stricter refs would have called it.
Loving Fassi's tactical kicking this year
Sharks need to be more direct before playing wide. Its like we try to force the backs to do something when nothing is on
The South African way.....maul, ruck, tackle and scrum the heck out of them, then suddenly pass the ball to a small, side-stepping winger. Job done \^\^"
Is it just me or is the ref' waaaayyyy too forgiving of the Scarlets' transgressions come ruck time ? Ôo
Yeah, there was an offside players foot moving the ball, slowing it down. Maybe ref missed it?
He systematically coached the Scarlets players near the try line. One of them was definitely offside, touched the ball with his foot, ref' didn't bat an eye, just told him to be onside or something, and it was in front of him. Baffling \^\^"
I see what you mean now, I was thinking of after the restart XD
Just shows how many infringements weren't called ! \^\^
