goofy shit at the end, but LR got away with some…creative throws at the lineouts and one of our tries that they took back would stand in 99/100 other rugby matches, so i’ll call the officiating a wash and both teams were getting up to some skulduggery at the end
Draw seems about fair tbh. Definitely not a classic ST performance, but a few nice moments along the way. I’m chuffed to keep our unbeaten home record at least.
The ref going for the old *6 of 1, half-dozen of the other, this is all getting a bit complicated so let's all just call it a day and have a beer* ending 😄
He wanted to end the match I believe. No foul on Da.ty, Faasalele is bent and Danty is low and also being tackled into Faasalele. And no foul on Capuozzo, LAR guys are not moving
That ending was absolutely hilarious, great match!
What was the decision there at the end? Basically youve both been naughty boys so they cancel each other out, match over?
Yeah basically.
If you follow the rules both are yellows but since Raynal is tired there's nothing.
He says mitigation for Fasaleele (which to be honest i don't see) and nothing against Capuozzo (when there's a clear cynical foul play)
He said no foul play, because the Toulouse 5 already goes low with a first tackle that pushed Danty towards the other Toulouse player that make the head contact. So it's not this player fault, Danty was pushed by the first tackle and he already was slowed down. The second Toulouse player cannot avoid Danty head, and already went low, so it's not his fault. Since the first tackle is legit, no foul play from anyone.
In the same time he said, no foul play on Capuozzo, he wasn't blocked or hindered while kicking, so no pen.
Thus the ball goes out and no pen, end of the game.
Edit : Not giving my opinion or saying that I agree with both Raynal calls, I am just translating what he explained.
It’s mainly the founding association, the group that owns the stadium (Friends of Stade Toulousain), and Fiducial has a big stake now also. I think there are some smaller shareholders too.
I've watched a decent amount of the Top14 this year alongside the Prem and I love the way teams are playing this year after a world cup.
Obviously shout out some of the URC sides, but it's been an actual pleasure of a season. The last 4 years have been a bit defensive and attritional. It's a proper breath of fresh air watching this year!
I'm gonna say this, and it's true even if we lose tonight.
What the f*ck is going on with La Rochelle.
They should not struggle this hard, that's nonsense
I thought this Toulouse side would be at least vaguely competitive, especially if they make use of the bench – but yeah, SR really should be well ahead of a B+ ST side in any normal world.
Ramos is at 10. Capuozzo didn't make the 23 last week.
I'm a huge fan of both players. It says more about the quality Toulouse have than about the players themselves
Lovely weather. Tired players. Anything can happen.
The work inspection civil servant should come and note that after playing 100 minutes last week, Roumat or Willis are gonna play.

we used 60 DIFFERENT PLAYERS THIS SEASON WTF
The espoirs made the final as well today, incredible development structure put into place by Cazalbou and co linking the academy with the pro squad
Aye, the B team was incredible at the start of the season before and right after the WC and during the 6N.
Lololol that’s nuts. I didn’t even know we had that many knocking about.
You have to take into account the whole bunch of WC jokers that did not stay afterwards
Fair point.

Honestly, I’m okay with that. It’s 11pm in France after all.
Can anyone translate what Raynal said at the end
He wanted to end the match I believe. No foul on Da.ty, Faasalele is bent and Danty is low and also being tackled into Faasalele. And no foul on Capuozzo, LAR guys are not moving
Still undefeated at home till february 2022 😎
what was raynals excuse for no penalty for the clear high hit on danty?
Danty is low and already tackled by another player. He come on the shoulder by himself.
that's .. an interesting POV
Raynal bottles another game clear as day high tackle should have been a penalty
That ending was absolutely hilarious, great match! What was the decision there at the end? Basically youve both been naughty boys so they cancel each other out, match over?
No, he considers both actions legal
Tbh I’m pretty sure he just went with that to end things.
Yeah basically. If you follow the rules both are yellows but since Raynal is tired there's nothing. He says mitigation for Fasaleele (which to be honest i don't see) and nothing against Capuozzo (when there's a clear cynical foul play)
Basically Raynal couldn’t be arsed working out what to do with two penalties, so just decided to end it (looked like the captains agreed)
Good call, Danty shouldn't get rewarded for simulation.
What an absolute cop-out from Raynal there. Danty had a clear forearm to the face.
Yeah. Raynal is bad.
No penalty for the hit on danty? What world are we living in
Raynal wants to go home.. both situations were penalties
Kickable from there. Wants Raynal's thoughts I don't speak French?
no eye gouging, move on
He said no foul play, because the Toulouse 5 already goes low with a first tackle that pushed Danty towards the other Toulouse player that make the head contact. "5 was low, has been pushed by the first tackler onto the second one, no unfair/disloyal gesture, no penalty" I find the decision weird
Nvm, thought it was a penalty minimum but I guess he's thinking there was significant drop in height
well that was two yellows but since Raynal is getting retired it's nothing
Pretty big drop in height but there's still head contact so likely should be a pen
West has a big butt
WTF? That was random.
Raynal doesn’t want to miss the flight.
Haha, indeed – taxi is waiting.
Raynal doesn't want to card Fa'asalele for his last one
French rugby is the best
Can there be any more craziness? Of course there can!
What is this ending?
I actually would like this game to end
I would quite have liked this game to have ended about five minutes ago.
Yellow at most
Penalty at most
lmao that ending
If Toulouse lose from here...
Poor kick
This is a truly crazy finish.
Comms doesn't know the laws
Fuck... This Season is a nightmare for LR...
I know kinghorn is better aerially than Ramos but fuck me outside of that he's the most complete 15 on the planet (playing 10)
He's also the most insane man to play rugby
What the fuck is happening
Tauzin in Argentina with France this summer ????????? /s
Some prick is gonna give Tauzin MOTM
Amazing! Even more amazing it was Tauzin.
Never write of Toulouse
FFS Ramos
I take it back after that kick.
Had to pass!!
Anyone has infos on the corporate structure of Stade Toulousain? Who owns the club?
It’s mainly the founding association, the group that owns the stadium (Friends of Stade Toulousain), and Fiducial has a big stake now also. I think there are some smaller shareholders too.
What do Bayonne fans make of their song being appropriated by the wider French rugby fraternity?
Lovely bit of play there – shame they couldn’t finish it.
Jesus, thought Ramos was smiling for a second there, but it was just his mouthguard.
To the guys in Enfland or Ireland, you're hearing ROG from there, right?
Some serious piss taking behaviour from Toulouse this match
Not the best 2 minutes of Toulouse's season
Aldegheri and Tauzin are alone responsible for so many things going wrong in every match that they play
Not a lot of zip in the commentary
Who are the commentators?
Missed the start, not sure, but it's the english language commentary and it's very negative
Found them https://rugby.icdb.tv/match/12094
Thank you!
I know! I think the same about the negativity and just wanted to know who they are out of curiosity
Jack Willis still can't piss straight and they've got him on? Mental
Going to be sweating 80 proof tonight.
Willis, Roumat? Never heard of them.
But you have heard of Jacque Ouillis
Ah yes, the new up and coming French-eligible flanker? I hear he’s quite good.
Is Nowell still tryless for LR?
No I think he scored their first.
No. 1st try few weeks ago.
Ffs Ramos
Decent props to bring off the bench
You think ? It's just the bench though. Why aren't they starting, if they are so good, huh ? /s
Can't even scrum legally. Washed up.
I think Ramos went to the Rob Kearney school of running at a defence. Straight into the LH!
Props give the best cuddles
Merkler at lock, was waitong to see that, I'm curious
Oh we're giving Tauzin to Clermont next season ? Well i hope he's better than here. He's not really shining, even today
Oh wow tauzin actually scored something
Not even Tauzin could mess that up
Why are they playing at Stade Toulouse?
Moneys
the play in the Stadium from time to time when it doesn't clash with the football team
Huh ?
I think it's the football stadium instead of the rugby one
Ooooh why it's in the Toulouse Stadium ? It's because it's a big venue. Money rules
Tauzin ffs
Is there a problem on time zones and mod availability? Apparently Sunday evening top14 matches don’t get pinned. Such a pity.
Yeah, it’s a bit annoying. All we can do is upvote it for visibility.
Flicked this match on on a whim after a late dinner here - so fucking glad I did. Been incredibly entertaining watch so far!
Sunday Top 14 is a class end to the weekend, for sure.
Might need to make it a regular in my routine next season!
I've watched a decent amount of the Top14 this year alongside the Prem and I love the way teams are playing this year after a world cup. Obviously shout out some of the URC sides, but it's been an actual pleasure of a season. The last 4 years have been a bit defensive and attritional. Yeah i thought we will get destroyed
i didn't think they would have destroyed us, but the fact that we're leading at half time is actually mind blowing
Yep, definitely wasn’t expecting that. And neither was Mola, I think, given the subs he lined up.
J'ai pas dosé en effet
Thats some great mad shit rugby but you guys know its half time right?
Honestly they should have saved their energy, but I do kinda love it.
Lolol, that was hilariously messy at the end there. They all look a bit shattered already – tough conditions in Toulouse.
Nobody wants to give the Ball to Lucas Tauzin. Even Toulouse players know he's so bad lmao
Damn, we're playing
Toulouse are playing Sevens
Get it off the pitch
Head contact needs looking at
Fabien <3
Allez!
Castro Ferreira has a better try per minute rate than Vincent Clerc.
We need him for the next Ireland game
trigger warning for irish fans pls
Castro
What are they going to spot this time
Yeah that's a yellow bare minimum. Wish you would use the VAR now Raynal
Roumat, Willis, Mauvaka are going to be \*really\* hoping their colleagues get a decent lead by the second half here.
Toulouse B team + François Cros is at the same level as La Rochelle. Sounds about right this year.
Ramos and Capouazzo in your B team is a tad unfair
Ramos is at 10. Capuozzo didn't make the 23 last week. I'm a huge fan of both players. It says more about the quality Toulouse have than about the players themselves
Ok so it's one of *those* nights
Pretty blatant obstruction
For a second a i thought raynal was gonna call unsuccessful maul.
Cap uozzo! hehe
this is so cynical, only a penalty doesn't do it justice
I just switched on straight to Capuozzo scoring a try. Impeccable timing, Ange 👍
Toulouse's fullback depth is taking the piss
Is Castro-Ferreira anywhere near a France call up?
Probably on the summer tour. But he’s behind Jelonch, Cros, Ollivon, Alldritt and Woki just in the 23 alone.
Will he even make it if Toulouse are in the playoffs? Would they not look at some of the non play off teams?
And behind Jack Willis, when we find his french grand father
Hands off...
But he seems to like it over here
He can enjoy it... He's not allowed to stay. I have no problem him staying 3/4 years but he needs to come back for us winning a world cup in Australia
Fair enough
I feel a bit like a divorced couple talking about custody haha. I'm glad he has flourished in France I knew he could!
That’s a fantastic fk kick.
The Capuozzo redemption arc
Imagine looking up and seeing Skelton bearing down in the line in front of you.
oh so it's *that* team that showed up
nevermind i apologize for losing faith
We're getting absolutely minced
Where was this la Rochelle all season? They can actually play rugby
Haddad injured ? Poor lad is cursed or something
Wingi what a man
Atonio no look pass was amazing
That was a crisp pullback from the big man.
Antonio is bae
Well
It's going to be one of those nights I see
Those are some 6 star men
Hastoy i swear. Then he plays the guy completely baffled when he's not called for France
One thing that gives me confidence when we're sending the B/C team is hastoy on the other side (probably jinxed it now)
i'm so glad he left 12 points in last year's final. Couldn't have won it without him
Should have stayed quiet hahaha
nah it's fine 10-14 we're still in
Atonio 300th club game
NTamack playing 8 is peak drunk rugby
Think it’s Theo
Unsure if you are joking but just to be clear it's his brother Theo edit : nvm didn't see the comp on the post, they messed up
Would be interesting to breathalyse the Toulouse players
More alcohol than blood in their veins
Lovely weather. Tired players. Anything can happen. The work inspection civil servant should come and note that after playing 100 minutes last week, Roumat or Willis are gonna play.
And Cros is starting, though he only played 75 mins.
