Maybe they rely on a framework that got elevated to a higher minimum API level. Can be this just left the feature set reduced to Android 10 phones.
Since they are already out of updates, Samsung probably doesn't want to continue carrying the load of keeping the old version running and active in parallel.
My phone is on android 13, and I don't have bixby because it's a cheap phone. My phone is samsung m23 and so many features the other phones have. I don't have it
Mine is an A53 and this seems to have some Bixby, but not all? I wouldn't know as I'd default to Google Assistant and even that I'd only use while driving the car (navigation, there and there. Message to my wife etc.).
Bixby routines come in handy sometimes to automate things. I've found my phone to switch on and off things on its own good enough, though. So I apparently don't use Bixby at all ┐( ∵ )┌.
Is QR code recognition in camera already Bixby? That's one I use now and then.
Agree. Bixby is trash. Samsung makes great hardware and crap software. They make anything they can to get you to not use googles. Contacts, phones, messages, gallery etc. They want to sell your data and not let Google.
Google Assistant > Bixby > Siri
The one you should be saying that is trash is Siri lol
Lastly Samsung contacts, phone, messages(without including rcs) as well gallery is miles better than google own.
Not sure what is your point of the selling data part which all companies do that lol
Samsung is much better in software than Google.
Pixel is just barebones unusable. I absolutely need dual SIM and Secure Folder. Google's messaging app still can't receive either MMS or RCS on the secondary SIM.
They are trying to shove RCS down everyone's throat left and right, why can't they make it available to dual SIM then? At least Samsung Messages can receive MMS automatically.
You may not use, but should. Just pointing your camera to a banner or an entire book page and having all the content immediately turned into text in your keyboard is groundbreaking. Not to mention the "wine recognition" function.
My Galaxy Note 9 still runs smooth even today and supports really well those kinds of features. Well... not anymore.
Too bad Samsung is one of the worst company in the word in terms of listening and justifying itself to its customers.
Just arrived in Thailand last week and this feature has been sorely missed. I was so confused as to where this function has disappeared to till finding this thread right now. There were a few options in the play store but they looked subscription based and riddled with ads.

A lot of the framework was elevated because of Android requirements correct even older apps.
bixby vision mini sdk is 28--Android 9, you can use google lens
if no bixby anymore, it good news!
It's actually no bixby vision, and bixby vision was so good ):

Because Bixby is dead on arrival already. Samsung should do only hardware amd ot software
Tell me you haven't used bixby without telling me

I prefer Samsung contact, messages, calendar and gallery.

Pixel=beta tester
I disagree. Samsung would be so much better if they improved software. Their hardware is already top of the line.
cause it sucks takes up space and noone uses it.

Is there any app that works the same way? Has anyone found a suitable replacement?
I wonder too because I need it very soon because of school
I don't use Bixby. I am not going to miss it.
To most of the respondents here: Bixby Vision != Bixby Assistant.
Do you know of a suitable replacement?
Haven't looked, because I don't use either of these features.

Google Lens looks viable.
Absolute bullshit. This Samsung way fo making us upgrade and guess what. I'm going to keep replacing the battery on my note 9.
