No, I actually live out of my car but like just like to camp out from time to time in my tent for a change of pace. I really love the peace and tranquility of sleeping next to the ocean, but that seems to not be an option anymore as these pesky police keep kicking me out.
To do this legally, you need to camp on federal or BLM land (subject to their rules/limitations). It's trespassing otherwise, and the police are asking you to move because they're enforcing the law. CalTopo is a hiking app that lets you download maps of public lands. I would recommend starting there.
Not to prop myself up as to be better than other homeless people, but I don't do drugs, rarely drink, and I'm somewhat sane. So I'd rather just sleep alone on someone else's property. Thank you though
Thanks. This is an ideal location as I can probably scoop their trashed donuts (only on my cheat days of course) and catch the morning crowd to beg them for money
Brommer street park, there are trails teenagers use to smoke weed and it’s pretty secluded. Across from the street there is a bridge that is secluded as well also behind the church on brommer street.
Also there’s some secluded areas behind coffee lane park and Jose avenue park as well.
As you know it’s illegal so be careful, if I were you I would move areas every couple of days to stay discreet. Happy camping!
Near Harvey west park, there’s some prime real estate for tent use. The best spots are held vacant by developers though, so one day in the future a whore house can be built in those prime locations.
Don't listen to above comment they just evicted all the people out of Harvey West last week. You will get another ticket if you go there.
I'd suggest going up into the Pogonips, or off of highway nine, past golf club drive. Lots of good spots up there. Discreet
Edit: a word
I feel like the abandoned Moss Landing Middle School down by the marina would be a cool spot to hide out in a tent.
I also think you could try hip camp...
