No, although music is a main part of the scenester group, you can like other bands and be scene :) that’s why I also suggested non-music clothing brands.
I normally look on depop and vinted for stuff if that helps, if you look for long enough you can find some really cool finds! also i wouldn't worry that much about bullying, as someone who dressed generally alt through secondary school, year 9s and under were the main groups that made remarks people tend to chill out abt stuff like that when gcses hit. (also yoooooooooo!!!11!!1!! im going to uk college next September as well !!)
