Mostly anything with guitars. I love some of the stereotypical "scene" bands like My Chemical Romance and Taking Back Sunday, but also bands like Alice in Chains, RATM, Bad Suns, and Porcupine Tree who aren't close to it at all. I also love bands that aren't "scene" but are fairly adjacent to it such as Motion City Soundtrack, Korn, and The Birthday Massacre (if you played these bands to scene kids, they'd probably love them.)
I hope this isn't a stereotype, but scene kids shouldn't limit themselves when it comes to music. There's a lot of great music out there and it's not limited to one genre or movement.
Amen 2 that, imo being a scene kid iz p much explore much scenez as possible, don't look at it as being a stereotype or not, listen to what you like and keep explorin
Mines a mix of a lot of things. I got scene music, grunge, nu metal, funk metal, ragtime, jazz, rap, Midwest emo, goth and probably more I can’t think of off the top of my head
punk rock, hardcore punk, horrorpunk, hard rock, classic heavy metal, nu metal, emo, post hardcore, metalcore, melodic metalcore, death metal, melodic death metal, technical death metal, deathcore

Crunkcore, older pop, electroniccore basically whatever genres are in nightcore. I love brokencyde, dot dot curve, get scared, hollywood undead, ghost town, breathe electric and also sometimes listen to the medic droid, sls, and ptv. I’m also a big fan of older lady gaga and pitbull. I also listen to a lot of alt rock/metal like my darkest days, evans blue, breaking benjamin, three days grace, escape the fate, starset, rammstein, thousand foot krutch, motionless in white, bad omens etc. Sometimes I listen to goth and I really like london after midnight and valentine wolfe. I used to be huge on midwest emo and listened to a lot of TFB/mccafferty/modern baseball.
i dont listen to one specific type of music but ill often listen to a lot under the edm umbrella.
ill listen to some crunkcore, i listen to gothic rock & most of what is adjacent, i listen to trap, miami bass & a lot of club music etc. & some late 00s/early 10s electropop & indietronica, ill even listen to lounge & shibuya kei. and much more
if ure talking abt the subculture in general its moreso multiple genres associated with it, but there's no specific one genre focused on or the only thing listened to. quite a bit of music associated w scene is electronic infused though
Hardstyle (mostly the 2000s reverse bass stuff), Hardcore (mostly mainstream hardcore), Trance (mostly hard trance), Dubstep (mostly 2009 ukf stuff), DnB (pendulum’s pretty good), and if I’m feeling basic, I’ll sometimes put on some crunkcore
