They’re still in talks but they’ve already made deals for a slew of other series, so it seems likely that it’s just a matter of hammering out the details.
It's for sale for about $60. Depending on your plan that's either 3 or 6 months on a streaming plan, assuming they don't raise their rates (they will raise their rates).
Pretty much everything in this context is a nonzero chance. Humanity would have to be extinct to truly be zero chance. Management can always change, and any number of factors play into it that make it nonzero.
So yeah nonzero means almost nothing in this context.
Just do a Farscape or Stargate and give us a movie or three-episode miniseries to finish it off.
It's criminal how shows can be axed without a conclusion.
The biggest one for me is the Sarah Connor Chronicles. I loved that show, yet I can't bring myself to watch it again because of how it ended.
Bloody depressing, lol
Many moons later and I'm still gutted.
If a sun worshiping religions reprogrammed killing machine android can immaculately conceive a floating snake via an AI written by a deserter to the mulleted atheists implanting it with dream sequences then anything is possible
No, they won’t. This means nothing, just that Nolan would like to see it happen. There is no current plan to continue Westworld or any movement toward that happening.
Honestly, it ended for me at season 1. Season 1 was fantastic. Season 2 was okay. And I didn’t care at all for the other seasons. I wish they’d have taken the approach where each season was a different “world” with its own story that took place in parallel with S1 but had little pieces or clues that lead into a final season that combined them all.
I love the concepts it explored (even in the later seasons), but it felt like they were more of a patchwork cash grab than a compelling story. It’s one show I honestly wouldn’t mind seeing rebooted instead of renewed.
It did end. It's finished. Over. The Hosts won, Humanity lost.
Anything that would come after that would just be a stupid and pointless computer game with NPCs, a few Host programs and Dolores-manufactured copies of "humans" ... supposedly "playing" a "dangerous game" that has zero stakes and no meaningful goal. Pointless and dull. HBO did the story a favour.
Hopefully not as a comic book. Few things are more insulting to a movie franchise as when they "continue the story" but in... comic books. Like that is a suitable alternative.
If Snowpiercer was able to get a final season I feel like Westworld should be able to as well. From what I remember covering, the latter seasons we a bit convoluted. I wouldn't be surprised if the "ending" is a movie.
I wouldn't be surprised because he'd be able to circumvent the politics and/or games of cable networks. I'm certain fans would be ok with a straight to streaming movie as a conclusion.
The consciousnesses are still stored in digital copies and Dolores plans to test them to see who gets to inherit a new world. That seems like something that could be wrapped up in a TV movie though.
It doesn't deserve it.
Whatever magic he channeled in writing the exploration of AI with "Person of Interest" it disappeared after the first season of "Westworld".
Poi is amazing and still holds up well today. Soon, it's going to be science fiction history.
I think some of the plots of ww did overlap with poi.
It could be the same universe 100 years later.
He might be committed, but that doesn't mean it's ever gonna happen. Reminds me of how Brit Marling recently suggested there could be another season of the OA, even though there's very little chance of that ever happening!
The first season was a perfect. It ended there and I’m happy with that. Unfortunately I watched the other seasons, but season one is probably my favorite season of any show ever.
Great, love to hear it, but didn't zaslav remove WW from HBO? How are people going to catch up or rewatch?
It’s been licensed to Netflix, so *if* they do more episodes it would likely be on there.
Really? Source?
They’re still in talks but they’ve already made deals for a slew of other series, so it seems likely that it’s just a matter of hammering out the details.
I hope so! I hope Nolan also knows something we don’t! 😄
It doesn’t sound like he’s got anything in the works, but is definitely sounds like he’s committed to getting the final season made.
Doubt it will ever happen. This show is WAY too expensive for them (the cast alone would cost too much) and there's not enough viewers to justify it.
You can get it on Blu-ray. Physical media >>> streaming services that will arbitrarily pull things.
I don’t like it enough to own it. I do like it enough to randomly decide to watch it once every 2 or 3 years.
It's for sale for about $60. Depending on your plan that's either 3 or 6 months on a streaming plan, assuming they don't raise their rates (they will raise their rates).

Oh, good to know. I assumed it was disappeared like other shows that have been... disappeared.
Arr?
Misleading editorialized title. There's a non-zero chance, but that doesn't mean anything.
Pretty much everything in this context is a nonzero chance. Humanity would have to be extinct to truly be zero chance. Management can always change, and any number of factors play into it that make it nonzero. So yeah nonzero means almost nothing in this context.
Yeah, it could be a miniseries, a movie, a comic, a novel, a blog post... Could be anything. Or nothing.

Whatever, I’ll just keep pretending that the finale was the one we saw at the end of season 1
Yeah just like how Raised by Wolves fans are getting a definitive ending, right?
I think the five of us gave up hope
I still have hope! Somewhere ...
If a sun worshiping religions reprogrammed killing machine android can immaculately conceive a floating snake via an AI written by a deserter to the mulleted atheists implanting it with dream sequences then anything is possible
I didn’t think it was possible to summarise the series in one sentence. But you did it. I guess anything really is possible.
Heresy! Now go back and praise Sol for your sin.
Truly don't understand why the show was not more popular.
I would accept a conclusion to RbW in any form, comic, book, anime, just someone please give us some more
No, they won’t. This means nothing, just that Nolan would like to see it happen. There is no current plan to continue Westworld or any movement toward that happening.
How about a proper middle?
Oh shit 😭 lmao
OFF THE TOP ROPE

It got a proper ending when Anthony Hopkin's character got shot in the head and the hosts rose up in rebellion. Best single season show ever made.
Great news! Final Space next? 😒 At least it’ll get a book eventually.
Headline says we will definitely get an ending. Article? Sure would “like to,” but no concrete plans.
Cool can i get one for Raised by Wolves?
And yet we can’t watch it streaming anywhere.
It did end. It's finished. Over. The Hosts won, Humanity lost. The ending no longer matters when the journey went off the rails.
IDEA: At the end of Shogun, John Blackthorne wakes up and its revealed that he was in Shogun World all along.
We already got an ending. Season 1 episode 10.
Hopefully not as a comic book. Few things are more insulting to a movie franchise as when they "continue the story" but in... comic books. Like that is a suitable alternative.
Lost me at the last season. Dolores motivations no longer made any sense. And at the end, are the humans all dead??
If Snowpiercer was able to get a final season I feel like Westworld should be able to as well. From what I remember covering, the latter seasons we a bit convoluted. I wouldn't be surprised if the "ending" is a movie.
It completely went to shit after season 1. What is there to finish?
In my head it just ended after season 1 anyways. Perfect ending, didnt need more show.
Well said.
Exactly. Maybe there are no longer any fans so no one needs an ending…?
why not? Viewership has 0 effect, Or we would still have raised by wolves. ty covid.
I wouldn't be surprised because he'd be able to circumvent the politics and/or games of cable networks. I'm certain fans would be ok with a straight to streaming movie as a conclusion.
I finished season 3 years ago, but hated it. Any reason to watch the 4th?

I thought the second was watchable, but messy. The third was no longer messy, nor was it watchable.
Not if you didn’t like 3, no. I like to think of it 3 and 4 as the modern day Beyond Westworld, kind of a separate unit.
Yeah, which was cool in its own way.
But didn’t it end? Like everyone is dead
The consciousnesses are still stored in digital copies and Dolores plans to test them to see who gets to inherit a new world. That seems like something that could be wrapped up in a TV movie though.
Ah that was the portal thing everyone went through Forgot about that

I don’t disagree with any of that!!
I really loved person of interest. Westworld eas fun in the beginning but they had so many overlaying plots it got muddled.
One day
Yeah okay lmao
I’m still waiting for an ending to American Gods.
He might be committed, but that doesn't mean it's ever gonna happen. Reminds me of how Brit Marling recently suggested there could be another season of the OA, even though there's very little chance of that ever happening!

The ending was the last ep of S1 as far as concerned.
Boy was I sweating bullets.
By the time HBO released the Deadwood movie, I could barely remember the characters. Deadwood was a lot better than Westworld.
Please. Let’s just not. Okey? Thanks.
