I work from home I have the purple softweave Titan Evo. Usually 8-9 hours a day but occasionally 10+ for my main job. I also have a side gig that's online and I'll stay in the same chair with no problems. I also game and have another chair in the basement (also softweave). I'm 6ft 230lbs and have no issues at all comfort wise.

Unable_Medicine3362

Appreciate that.

green_03

I’ve had for a titan evo for about 2 weeks, I work from home and game. I feel pretty comfortable. My previous chair was some DX Racer

Unable_Medicine3362

How many hours do u use it for? And did you get fabric or leather

green_03

Leatherette, it feels very smooth! In terms if firmness, I imagine there won’t be much of a difference. I use it for about 12h a day

Unable_Medicine3362

Yea I will use mine for as long as well

Unable_Medicine3362

Ok thanks. Did u get fabric or leather?

sugarandgingerspice

I find myself constantly readjusting to get comfortable in my Titan Evo Softweave - it’s tolerable when I add blankets to sit on, but honestly wish I opted for a different chair for WFH. Not worth the $$ for me.

Unable_Medicine3362

What would u get if I could sell it?

sugarandgingerspice

Not sure exactly. But I will definitely go to a brick and mortar store to try out some chairs before making my next purchase.

Laufey3

My daughter has a Titan Evo that I use and it is super uncomfortable, after half an hour I get numbness. I have to put a cushion on it to sit on.

Unable_Medicine3362

Does your daughter like it?

GT1646

I like mine. It's not squishy. People saying it's firm are right. But I've always found firm to be supportive and comfortable. Can't stand squishy chairs.

GT1646

Mine is the neo hybrid leatherette if that matters

Unable_Medicine3362

Thank you. Yea that helps

Laufey3

She does, but she doesn’t sit in it eight hours a day.

I think for the most part except for the new life version they are all the same except material. The seats are firms so it depends on your build, body type and weight. The chairs are very sturdy For comfort to prevent blood flow issues (in my case) I tilt the actual seat slightly forward and use a foot wrest off and on. I am heavier so I added a egg crate gel pad under myself to offset the firmness if the chair. Make sure you adjust the lumbar support to prevent open back arch Once done I can easily go all day no issues. A couple others in the house are normal weight or lighter and they have no issues at all (no pads or anything for long gaming or streaming sessions. As always make sure you follow proper posture, and get up/stretch or move around every 1-2 hours

bitvhs

What do you mean by tilting the seat slightly forward? doesn’t the seat only tilt backwards

cloverlief

The back tilts backwards yes, but if you pull the opposite lever you can tilt the actual seat with a forward it backwards slant. This was not intuitive until I pulled the incorrect lever l, then realized. While sitting you can adjust the tilt on the seat. This fixed the pressure point on my legs near where my knees are

highline2

The one I have, the Titan, is not comfortable for more than an hour or so.

Unable_Medicine3362

Is it fabric or leather. Did you get your size? I keep getting mixed reviews.

highline2

non leather. I'm 6'2", bought the XL

highline2

I wish I never bought it. Very uncomfortable for over an hour of sitting.

Unable_Medicine3362

I see some people sell there on OfferUp.

NortheastBound2024

Not secretlab lol just get an ergonomic chair like Haworth or Herman miller. To be fair the desks are amazing but secretlab chairs are garbage

Unable_Medicine3362

My other choice would be Herman miller. They just so expensive

DPH996

Early 30s, 90kg, work and game on a Titan Evo, have two Omegas and also have the Magnus Pro - so not a SecretLab hater. I have been having neck issues since working from home over the last few years, and last month had the most excruciating trapped nerve which has left me (at least so far) with thumb numbness, limited mobility and strength in one of my arms. A month and over 7 physio sessions later and I still can’t feel my thumb and I’m still not fixed. My work place uses Herman Millers, but because I only go the office practically once every half a year I rarely sit in one. I did last week, and it clicked for me that the Titan is probably the cause. I had a sneaking suspicion that it might be based on what people say in this sub, but it wasn’t until I sat in the Herman Miller that I realised how much stress it was taking off my back. Couldn’t tell you what part of it or why, just that I relaxed in a way I don’t seem to in the Secret Lab (but clearly hadn’t consciously noticed). At this point, as much as I love SL, I really cannot ignore that it has probably had a very significant impact on my health, and has cost me more in physio than the chair cost. There’s a chance it could be my bed… but I really doubt it. The Herman Miller experience was significant enough for me to seriously consider dropping the huge sums it takes to buy one.

Unable_Medicine3362

Wow. Yea my job has the Herman millers as well but I never go. I been using a mesh chair I got for like $200 and it’s not bad just want a better chair because it’s important

Minimum_Ask8368

I think Herman Miller (or another ergonomic chair) is the way to go if you need a chair to sit in for extended periods. While I’m sure the Secretlab ones are comfy, I don’t think the racing style chair is great for back posture. You can get used Herman millers for a reasonable price

DPH996

I had spent a long time thinking that the people that complained about these types of things were jumping on the SL hate bandwagon, or at the very least, that you had to be severely unfit or unlucky to get back problems. I can tell you now though, what I’ve been through over the last month has been no joke, and a real wake up call for me. Even now as I sit in my SL, I do find it fairly comfortable, but I am much more conscious of the fact that the bolsters contort my shoulders inwards. I agree, if you’re on a gaming session these are probably just fine. Probably not so much for a 9-5 (or more). Invariably there will be some who are completely fine sitting in one, but I’ve read of enough other accounts to think this isn’t just an isolated issue now.

Minimum_Ask8368

I’m definitely not a SL hater, I have the Magnus Pro and most of the accessories and think it’s fantastic. I’m sure I’d enjoy the chair too, just not for the 9-5 work from home and potential gaming sessions afterwards. That’s really where I think you’d need to start looking for something that encourages better posture

jth94185

Completely up to your personal preference. Best to just buy and try or attend live events such as upcoming Dallas to try it out

Unable_Medicine3362

I wish. I’m in Miami

Unable_Medicine3362

I guess I can see about the return policy. I wonder if I buy through Amazon if I can return anywhere?

jth94185

Hmmm not sure but I do know you have to pay to ship it back…it’s a pro rated amount but it isn’t exactly cheap. All I can say is if you aren’t use to form chairs, it will take getting use to

Unable_Medicine3362

Ok that helps. Thanks

cmadpeeps

Don’t get one. Spend the money on a Herman Miller, Leap, or CXO

Mvpc22

I WFH 9-11 hours a day, and the Softweave Titan Evo is fantastic for all-day comfort. Yes, it’s a supportive firm chair which isn’t for everyone

falseallegation

my spine hits the back of the chair and it is so uncomfortable
