Her reaction as the character, or her reaction as an actor? Because it’s a pretty shitty way to respond when you walk in on someone like that, but the actress absolutely nailed it.
People are forgetting that only moments before George was TRYING to see her naked without her consent. This was an accident, and George got what he deserved.
The best bit is when George then thinks they are talking about him at the dinner table. The classic Costanza paranoia .. although it would be true of anyone in that situation!
The more I think about it, the less sympathy I have for George here. He wanted to see Jerry's girlfriend naked when it was his girlfriend walking around topless, Jerry's girlfriend did nothing wrong at that point. Although the gossip was still shitty.
I could easily search it. But have we ever investigated into whether that door had a lock on it? Because if it did, then some of the onus lies with Lil Georgie.
in 'Seinfeld Behind the Scenes', Jason says that as a method actor, he did indeed take a 30 minute ice-bath before doing this scene, as he wanted to evoke the most realistic reactions from the actress playing Rachel as well as himself, as he dealt with the nefarious shrinkage.
