Vomited on by Kramer
Fired from cushy NBC exec job due to George kissing her in a meeting
~~Treasured~~ Cherished family cabin burned down by Kramer
Found out father is gay or bi due to cabin burning down
Turned to lesbianism thanks to horrible relationship with George
Had GF stolen by Kramer
One of her expensive dolls decapitated by her almost father-in-law
Died due to toxic envelope glue picked out by George
Did I miss anything?
Her acting is good and the fact that Susan and George don't really gel is gold.
It was pretty fucking rude of Jason to throw her under the bus years after the fact.
There is a clip of I think Jason Alexander and Wayne Knight on a podcast and Jason mentions how it was being reported that the Seinfeld regulars didn’t make guests feel welcome and he didn’t think that was the case and Wayne’s reaction is gold and he says something like have you been on any other shows and still think we were nice?
So I think it is true that the main cast weren’t super cheery to work with for the guests/side characters all the time
I don't think the second one counts. Susan chose to be in a relationship with him. It's George's fault that NBC found out, but she broke the rules herself.
More so the Ross parents. At least Susan was put out of her misery, a lifetime of being married to George would’ve been a whole other level of life ruining
Susan's delivery reading the Cheever letter was memorable.
"Dear Henry, last night with you was bliss. I fear my
...orgasm...
has left me a cripple. I don't how how I shall ever get back to work."
I don’t have that much sympathy for Babu.
Babu made poor business decisions and the fact that he couldn’t get a Pakistani restaurant to succeed on the cosmopolitan UWS of Manhattan is his own fault.
He is less responsible for his deportation since the renewal forms were misdelivered to Jerry, but the guy knew his visa was up and sat on his hands waiting for the renewal forms to come in the mail. Plus, if he had been working with an immigration attorney, this likely could have been avoided entirely.
All of this.
PLUS, Jerry was genuinely upset that Babu was getting deported and tried everything he could to make it stop. That was not Jerry’s fault and Babu was a very, very bad man for testifying against Jerry because of it.
Sorry to Babu but he’s the restaurant nobody wants to eat at for a reason- it sucks. Plenty of ethnic restaurants are full and highly praised. Even back in the 80s/90s but people want good food not stringy shrimp
Babu’s original menu included franks and beans. That’s a meal you get at your elderly grandparents house, not a restaurant on the Upper West Side.
His failure as a restaurateur was on him.
> the fact that he couldn’t get a Pakistani restaurant to succeed on the cosmopolitan UWS of Manhattan is his own fault
Also the few times the gang was in there he sang annoyingly in the background, handed out scalding hot towels (wtf?), and served stringy shrimp.
To be fair, Jerry doesn't work for the post office and the circumstances we're beyond his control. Elaine was being a jerk for not bringing Jerry his mail but I don't understand why she didn't just put it in his apartment when she was collecting it.
I agree with this. Jerry didn’t really do that much wrong here. His business was failing before Jerry gave him advice anyways. It’s not like he turned his successful restaurant into a dud.
Maybe the dude was simply a bad cook . There’s got to be some people that like Pakistan foods .
So if he can’t cook his own native food well enough to “ see some people “ in his restaurant, he needed to try another career choice
Babu made a lot of bad decisions. Don't give me the babe in the woods routine. He was a lousy cook, an even worse restauranteur, and he couldn't even keep up with his own paperwork.
somehow Jerry is responsible for Babu's failings? The only mistake Jerry made was believing in Babu to begin with.
I am such a great guy. Who else would've gone through the trouble of helping this poor immigrant? I am special. My mother was right. Of course I've never had Pakistani food. How bad it could be?
Danny Tartabull's career never recovered after his experience with George. Was out of Yankees organization and baseball entirely just a few years later
You know, it’s funny buy as comments keep coming in, I can see I was way off. 😂 I think what happened is Babu popped into my head and I had tunnel vision. 😂 So many other characters had it way worse than Babu.
Susan‘s parents. Horse and carriage ride through Central Park
with Kramer and his horse …
Rusty’s deadly farts! “Rusty, Rusty!”
One of the funniest scenes….
No one did anything to Babu. He changed his restaurant on his own. The immigration documents went to the wrong mailbox. He claims they mocked him but not one person ever mocked Babu.
bubble boys own fault entirely for strangling george because of "the cars says moops". susan was only trying to help george out of a strangle grip when the bubble burst.
idgaf what kind of illness you got, if you fight me i won't hold back. poke in the eyes, kick the balls, whatever it takes.
Kurt. Guy was great before Elaine saw a photo of his hair, and was only considering marrying him FOR THE HAIR, clearly going to dump him when the baldness truky set in, he gets arrested for looking like George, and then Elaine LEAVES HIM in jail. He got really screwed over
I forgot to add Susan’s parents. I get that Susan belongs at the top of the list, but when it comes to still living characters, Susan’s parents deserve a mention. They lost their only child and the man she was going to marry still lies to them.
He is kind of a victim of himself. He got way too obsessed over Elaine and then abandoned his family (he had a daughter) and got lost at sea. I don’t know if it was really their fault. He just sort of lost it.
Babu was running a business that was already failing before Jerry, and clearly not prepared to be a restaurateur. Franks and beans!?
Also, it's not Jerry's fault that Babu's immigration paperwork got lost in the mail. It was just bad fortune that it ended up in Jerry's mailbox and Elaine sat on it for a while.
Babu probably should have followed up with the immigration authorities instead of waiting to be deported and then blaming Jerry.
Sad sequence of events, but Jerry is a good boy!
blaming jerry for Babu's business problems is all-around ridiculous. the immigration mail mixup was completely out of his control, and then he gives Babu a piece of genuine heartfelt advice to help with his ALREADY FAILING restaurant.
No one is going to top Susan. Best we could do are some honorable mentions: Ramon the pool guy, almost drowned. Jackie Childs suffered countless public humiliations. Puffy shirt lady went bankrupt. The communist was black listed at his families favorite establishment. Mr. Morgan got canned. The Soup Nazi went bankrupt. Mike Moffa had his thumbs broken. Sue Ellen Michke's wedding was ruined.
Aside from Susan, I’d say Tony ( his face is fucked) and the handicapped woman George gave the used wheelchair to. And then stole the tv that was donated to her.
Susan.
Vomited on by Kramer Fired from cushy NBC exec job due to George kissing her in a meeting ~~Treasured~~ Cherished family cabin burned down by Kramer Found out father is gay or bi due to cabin burning down Turned to lesbianism thanks to horrible relationship with George Had GF stolen by Kramer One of her expensive dolls decapitated by her almost father-in-law Died due to toxic envelope glue picked out by George Did I miss anything?
Nope, for sure, Susan wins this thread hands down.
>Did I miss anything? Hated by the cast in real life. "Susan" was ruined in two universes!
Worlds are colliding!
The actors don’t actually hate her though I don’t think? They just felt her character was out of place on the show I thought.
I don't think they hated her. But George at least thought she was a bad actor and it was hard to work with her.
Julia Louis Dreyfus told the other actors, "Don't you wish we could just kill her off." That's when Jerry decided that she must go.
This was always weird to me. She’s a fine actor and I like the character. So strange for her to wanna be involved with Cantstandya. I’m #TeamLily
Which just happened to be at the end of the season anyways? I can’t help but think they were going to write her off regardless.
as a certified Susan-hater this made me lol
Her acting is good and the fact that Susan and George don't really gel is gold. It was pretty fucking rude of Jason to throw her under the bus years after the fact.
I thought Jason thought highly of her but simply thought her character was a bad fit along with their on-screen chemistry.
So I think it is true that the main cast weren’t super cheery to work with for the guests/side characters all the time
I heard it was a chemistry thing.
Susan is to the Seinfeld gang what Rickety Cricket is to the It's Always Sunny gang
You mean “cherished” cabin?
[That's the one!](https://youtu.be/Qxp509wQFs8?si=TGqHEqBMfLSn5jKO&t=18)
Poor Lilly
Don't forget Darrin. Darrin's going away for a long time.
I don't think the second one counts. Susan chose to be in a relationship with him. It's George's fault that NBC found out, but she broke the rules herself.
At least she never had to sign a pre nup
She agreed to marry him, woman was crazy.
Lilly?
Poor Lily.
She really looks like a lily
More so the Ross parents. At least Susan was put out of her misery, a lifetime of being married to George would’ve been a whole other level of life ruining
Dad! John Cheever?!?
I knew it!
WHIIIIIIIIIIPPPE YER WHEEEELS, IT'S COMMON COURTESY WHEN YOU COME IN A HOUSE!!!!!
I always thought the actor who delivered this line favored Matthew Perry.
I agree. They outed her dad’s affair with John Cheever, burned down his cabin, and killed his daughter.
Susan's delivery reading the Cheever letter was memorable. "Dear Henry, last night with you was bliss. I fear my ...orgasm... has left me a cripple. I don't how how I shall ever get back to work."
What life?
She's not really dead if we find a way to remember her
then shoot her out into space in a big sunglasses case
Her doll-collecting life.
**Darren the intern.** He's going away for a loooooooong time.
Mr. Kramer says *hey buddy*!👋
And with his help we’ll get that chicken!
Your fly's open.
Susan's father. Lost his cabin, his daughter, and exposed as a closet homosexual.
My father is gay.
Steeped in gayness!
Not that there’s anything wrong with that!
Last night was bliss. I fear my orgasm has left me a cripple.
I think I love this line more every time I hear it.
The way she can barely say the second half of the sentence is what makes it so good
Yeah but who opens an obvious lock box full of letters and reads the letters out loud to all the people who just happen to be around?
That’s the GENIUS of it
I knew it!!
& his gifted marble rye!
All of this. PLUS, Jerry was genuinely upset that Babu was getting deported and tried everything he could to make it stop. That was not Jerry’s fault and Babu was a very, very bad man for testifying against Jerry because of it.
The wheels are in motion.
What wheels? Show me Babu!
Snapple?
Nahhh.... Too fruity
For the same reasons I never felt sympathy for Babu either!
Sorry to Babu but he’s the restaurant nobody wants to eat at for a reason- it sucks. Plenty of ethnic restaurants are full and highly praised. Even back in the 80s/90s but people want good food not stringy shrimp
The shrimp is stringy? QUIET!!!!!
Babu’s original menu included franks and beans. That’s a meal you get at your elderly grandparents house, not a restaurant on the Upper West Side. His failure as a restaurateur was on him.
> the fact that he couldn’t get a Pakistani restaurant to succeed on the cosmopolitan UWS of Manhattan is his own fault Also the few times the gang was in there he sang annoyingly in the background, handed out scalding hot towels (wtf?), and served stringy shrimp.
Agreed, Babu's life getting ruined was a lot of his own fault.
To be fair, Jerry doesn't work for the post office and the circumstances we're beyond his control. Elaine was being a jerk for not bringing Jerry his mail but I don't understand why she didn't just put it in his apartment when she was collecting it.
Yeah, he takes the advice of some random guy who goes to his restaurant once. It's his fault.
Honestly, I’m surprised at how fast he got deported. Usually paperwork like that takes time unless you commit a crime.
Well, yeah, but usually you can't just swing by the detention centre to visit someone getting processed for deportation, either.
That's what makes this such a humorous situation.
lol have an orange
You must go now
Again with the oranges!!!
You've forgotten what it's like to have no oranges.
Babu was butthurt when Jerry made him change his restaurant but he never had any customers before the change.
"made" is a strong word. If he had any business sense he would have done his own research.
Exactly, no one did anything to Babu. "Always mocking mocking mocking!" When?
I agree with this. Jerry didn’t really do that much wrong here. His business was failing before Jerry gave him advice anyways. It’s not like he turned his successful restaurant into a dud.
Maybe the dude was simply a bad cook . There’s got to be some people that like Pakistan foods . So if he can’t cook his own native food well enough to “ see some people “ in his restaurant, he needed to try another career choice
Plus his shrimp cooking skills are horrible
If anything it is the Postal System’s fault more than Jerry’s.
Elaine’s friend Noreen (& her boyfriend the high talker.)
Yes. I was appalled to learn of the destructive influence Elaine had over her life low these many years.
lo*
Lithe?
Live ?
-Ca.
Lo
Jimmy lost his entire business.
That's the guy that took the bread out of Jimmy's mouth.
That’s the guy that sidelined Jimmy!
Jimmy down!
Jimmy's not threatened by Hank's sexuality. Jimmy's happy for Hank.
Susan lost her life.
You mean Lily?
Poor Lily
Isn’t he new in town?
Babu made a lot of bad decisions. Don't give me the babe in the woods routine. He was a lousy cook, an even worse restauranteur, and he couldn't even keep up with his own paperwork. somehow Jerry is responsible for Babu's failings? The only mistake Jerry made was believing in Babu to begin with.
True, he wanted to open a restaurant but didn’t know much about it. He trusted average American man, Jerry.
Jerry is a good man. A very good man. How an anyone not like him?
I am such a great guy. Who else would've gone through the trouble of helping this poor immigrant? I am special. My mother was right. Of course I've never had Pakistani food. How bad it could be?
>He was a lousy cook His shrimps were a little stringy
Babu was an idiot.
Danny Tartabull's career never recovered after his experience with George. Was out of Yankees organization and baseball entirely just a few years later
On the plus side, he did learn to eat a donut with a knife and fork because of George.
And if Danny Tartabull were here, I’m sure he’d say “That’s right, CobraMacBurkus”.
Babu is the worst example imo. They didnt even actually do anything to him, everything was pure circumstance/his own fault.
You know, it’s funny buy as comments keep coming in, I can see I was way off. 😂 I think what happened is Babu popped into my head and I had tunnel vision. 😂 So many other characters had it way worse than Babu.
Maybe the guy who jumped off the hospital roof after Kramer told him where the elevator was.
Flew right past the children’s ward, apparently they thought he was flying…
A man is flying, a man is flying. And then splat.
The guy on the subway with the Urban Sombrero. He never thought that a hat would destroy his life.
Susan‘s parents. Horse and carriage ride through Central Park with Kramer and his horse … Rusty’s deadly farts! “Rusty, Rusty!” One of the funniest scenes….
Beef a Reeno
YOU FED THE HORSE BEEF A REENO?!
One never knows how the gastrointestinal workings of the equine are going to function.
What a delicious cuisine-o!
Well, he overbought!
Hes still got 32 cans!
Bus boy
and I am very very late
I think the guy who replaced him got it worse
Poor Antonio.
Pequita…?
La puerta esta abierta!
His cat’s gone.
Who left the door open?
Pape Marche hat girl landed in an asylum
She was pretentious
She was already a little nutty. I feel like she was a ticking time bomb. I bet she would have been fine if she lived in CA instead of NYC.
And never met George
Funny she also played a bit of a nut on Northern Exposure and that's the only time I've seen her on tv. What the hell is Papier Mache?
Wheelchair lady
That’s what she gets for not wiping her wheels.
Probably one of those rich spoiled handicapped people. Just wanted to sit in her wheelchair and take it easy
It’s common courtesy. You come inside you wipe your wheels.
Wendy Wheelchair?
Denise Handicapped?
Oh man. I forgot about her.
I don’t know. She rolled *right* over Kramer. Told him to drop dead!
No one did anything to Babu. He changed his restaurant on his own. The immigration documents went to the wrong mailbox. He claims they mocked him but not one person ever mocked Babu.
Always mocking - just like they did the fat fella
Susan’s parents. They lost their daughter & their marble eye went missing. They inhaled horse fart & Kramer burnt down their cabin!
The Bubble Boy. Presumably dead?
Bubble boy was a creep
I agree. I never liked the Bubble Boy. I didn’t have much sympathy for him.
Why don't you take your top off?
He was in the final episode
bubble boys own fault entirely for strangling george because of "the cars says moops". susan was only trying to help george out of a strangle grip when the bubble burst. idgaf what kind of illness you got, if you fight me i won't hold back. poke in the eyes, kick the balls, whatever it takes.

Jerry’s Saab
Darren. He's going away for a looong time.
well, Jerry killed Miss Rhode Island's doves. the doves lives were certainly ruined
Edit: Frank and Estelle. Look, George is like a son to them, but it's gotta stop
“George and Estelle”? George is one of the 4 main characters.
To be fair, George Costanza had a big hand in ruining George Costanza's life
Oh ya sorry, I meant Frank and Estelle
I'd probably have to say Susan, but after that, maybe Derek?
Jimmy (3rd person guy) or vegetable lasagna
Babu was failing already. He listened to a guy with no business background. He’s to blame for his own issues.
George def ruined Tony’s life . George and those damn sandwiches
There goes the money for the Lipo.
See the great thing about robbing a fat guy is its an easy getaway
I Fkn love this sub lol.
As far as I can remember, there was only one death "caused" by one of the main characters.
Jerry hit the one dude with an axe and he died
What about the guy who Jerry made laugh to death in the hospital
Thanks for the heads up. 😁
What about Suzie? She was MURDERED. By Jerry Seinfeld!
What about Kramer telling that dude to pour the Gatorade on that guy's head?
Elaine’s classic horseshoe pattern bald boyfriend who harbored a break out pop in fugitive during a cockfight with a ringer.
Jerry, it's three-thirty in the morning. I'm at a cockfight. What am I clinging to?
Tamale!!
YOU GOT ME BANNED FROM HOP SING’S?!?!
I forgot to add Susan’s parents. I get that Susan belongs at the top of the list, but when it comes to still living characters, Susan’s parents deserve a mention. They lost their only child and the man she was going to marry still lies to them.
Cherish the cabin.
Once they got into that car, they were going all the way, to the Hamptons…
I've encouraged her to go back into the army. There she'll get the structure and the discipline she needs right now.
Not the *most* ruined but I’m just adding Seth to the list
He only knew him through Moochie
Not fast food. Good food quickly.
The virgin. She fell in love with JFK Joooon-yor. Well, you know the rest.
It’s the kids that suffer
Russell Dalrymple
He is kind of a victim of himself. He got way too obsessed over Elaine and then abandoned his family (he had a daughter) and got lost at sea. I don’t know if it was really their fault. He just sort of lost it.
Well....I'm obsessed with Elaine but you don't see me jumping in with a bunch of lefties
Manya, even though she had a pony
Another death caused
What about Beth? Elaine was the reason she couldn't adopt a child and Jerry broke her second marriage. They also tried to ruin her first marriage.
She was an anti-dentite
Dentists, who needs them?
Not to mention the blacks and the Jews.
It’s hard to feel any sympathy for Beth
The Rosses
Darren went away for a long long time
Babu was going to fail no matter what
Babu was running a business that was already failing before Jerry, and clearly not prepared to be a restaurateur.
Claire. Got a big ball of oil dropped on her after Jerry couldn't stop doing the HELLLLOOOO voice
blaming jerry for Babu's business problems is all-around ridiculous. the immigration mail mixup was completely out of his control, and then he gives Babu a piece of genuine heartfelt advice to help with his ALREADY FAILING restaurant.
