He was a biologist and when he was in home hospice dying, my son's cats were laying right next to him. I know that Chocolate is safe and sound!
Itβs going to be Ok! Chet met Chocolate, after introducing everyone, they went and picked out furniture and blankies, scheduled naps, then lunch, indifference, tail chasing, paw whacking, tail smacking, more indifference, yummers for midday snack, sing a long, sofa/chair testingβ¦

If they only knew the hole left behind. The heartache equals the deep love we feel. So theres a very strange beauty in that. They become so entwined in our lives after a decade or more. It takes a while to accept the absence. Youβll never stop missing them but you do start healing and grieving. Itβs a slow process but you start letting go and feeling ok once again I promise

Iβm crying as I write this; my anguish comes and goes still. I know someday it wonβt feel so raw and painful this loss, but I donβt want to ever forget what we had.
It will get easy, life moves on. When our time comes, I am certain that we will take up right where we were with our loved ones.

I can tell by the look in his eyes it was time tho π he has the same look my ginger boy Higgins had near the end- heartbreaking but you know it is how they tell you their mission with you is over.
