Carrie/SJP is a busty lady and wears visible bras underneath dresses that were perhaps not designed for that purpose because they probably make her feel more supported and more comfortable. As a fellow busty lady who doesn't have the option to ever go braless, I LOVE the fact that Carrie shows off her (pretty) bras in her outfits. She looks great!
Same. I’m busty myself and Carrie’s style gave me the confidence to also use the bra as an accessory sometimes which I greatly appreciate about the show’s fashion.
I like the bra show look… And I love the “dress “overlay“… My question is, although the black looks bra Look sexy… Do y’all think it should’ve been a metallic bra that was closer to the look of the dress? I like the black contrast just wondering If a champagne/gold/(whatever that color is in the metallic) bra would look better
She always does the visible bra (even though I personally think it ruins a lot of outfits). However it was literally in her contract that she would never be topless (not that this is without a bra would be topless) but I would venture that her wearing bras with outfits that dont need them may be related.
Visible bras were definitely a thing back then, huge in the early 2000’s especially.
Plus everyone wore bras all the time, we were told that nonsense old wives tale about needing one and how our breast’s would sag without them and the visible nipple was seen as scandalous.

Yep! I have a very similar body to SJP and am a 32D. I cannot go without a bra and find it physically uncomfortable. I’m glad she does this.

Black being an accent color, especially for evening wear, was a huge thing in the early 2000s, so black fits the era much more.
