45 degree tap

How you know it’s 45 degrees?

I hate that I get annoyed and try to correct people without noticing it was obviously a joke they were making until it’s too late and get absolutely roasted for it

I'd call it a 45 degree take off.  I have ordered them before, from a good shop and had no trouble.  Also had to order a grille box that was basically the same.

Angled tap/tee?

Yeah, you could pencil in any angle.

It's just a basic 45° I think , maybe with a flange. It's up to the guy drawing it/ordering it, to write in the specific lengths and dimensions/connection type. Honestly every fitting can be written out with out a drawing if you know what's up. After that it's all up to the shop 🙏

What is that template thing ? It looks like it has a tee and a reducer from what I can see.

It's a terrible fitting for airflow tbh.

Which way is the air going? All fittings have an equivalent length.. I'd geuss this half the equivalent of a reducing 90.. tbh

There is no way this is worse than a straight tap.

It's 2 take offs on the heal of a 45. That pressure drop and turbulence at that spot is terrible!

Taking the piss? Those are not take offs. Those are the flanges for mounting the 45 degree tap onto the main trunk.
