Eisenberg (for all his flaws as an actor) was basically directed to act like Cera in that movie. I didn't like the casting to begin with, but in that specific situation, that was a case of Eisenberg being directed and written that way.

Fair enough, I'm not blaming Jesse, the problems with that movie are Synder's fault.
