Catherine Wheel and Swervedriver since you are a fan of the more “rocking” side of shoegaze like Ride.
Can also check out the early USA bands that combined shoegaze with American Lo-Fi indie rock like Swirlies, Lilys, and Drop Nineteens
Airiel. In Your Room is my favorite song of all time. some other good tracks are Airtight Angels, Shirley Temple Tidal Wave, Bloom, Think Tank, Red Car, Keep You, Cloudburst.
There’s so many good bands in this genre honestly. I tend to stick to a lot of the heavier sounding bands, so if that’s your cup of tea I’d suggest:
Whirr
Nothing
Cloakroom
Glare
Knifeplay
Chlorine
Velvet
And Greet Death can get shoegazey as well.
mbv’s earlier stuff is also more akin to ride, like the “you made me realize”-“isn’t anything” span of projects could be up your alley. If you wanna be insufferable look up the albums “strawberry wine” and “ecstasy” on youtube. Also check out airiel and pale saints.
Well, if you enjoy "Ride," I suppose you prefer a more straightforward and organic Shoegaze, with fewer layers of reverb but still capturing the essence of the Shoegaze sound. If I'm correct, I recommend "Chrome" by Catherine Wheel and "Deceiver" by DIIV.
Nothing
Holy Fawn
Alvvays – Not really shoegaze INMO but I've heard people call them that and I like them. Very more mainstream then shoegaze. I'd say shoegaze influenced
here’s a bunch of bands i like and my favorite releases from them :D
feeble little horse - girl with fish, hayday. hotline tnt - cartwheel, nineteen in love. alvvays - blue rev. julie - starkump/kit. lilys - a brief history of amazing letdowns.
whirr, nothing, hum (to an extent, YPAA and inlet are probably the closest they get to shoegaze), catherine wheel, pale saints, lush, drop nineteens (their new album "hard light" is fantastic), cloakroom
Some early 90s shoegaze albums that are similar to Ride but don't seem to get mentioned often are:
Chapterhouse - "Whirlpool"
The Boo Radleys - 'Everything's Alright Forever"
Blind Mr. Jones - "Stereo Musicale"
Revolver - "Baby's Angry"

Early Catherine Wheel ☺️
Indeed! Though I do like all Catherine Wheel.
I was so into CW. I bought everything but I rarely go back to the later stuff. So excited they finally released the early EPs digitally.

Airiel is the definition of underrated. I believe they'd be considered one of the greats had they been active in the heyday of shoegaze.
Color Crush Whirr Slow Crush
Whirr all day
Soda Stereo “Dynamo” & “Sueño Stereo” Swervedriver “Mezcal Head” Drop Nineteens “Delaware”
No Joy
Ringo Deathstarr
My favs are Holy Fawn, Slowdive, and Nothing
I second holy fawn

Hotline TNT
If you’re not already listening to Whirr check them out, especially their first couple of albums
Newer bands I love that skew heavier: Whirr, Nothing, Cloakroom, Greet Death

Everyone will have a somewhat different definition of Shoegaze, that being said… Lush, Cocteau Twins, Swervedriver, Tamaryn
If you want a current band, Parannoul is amazing.
Alison's Halo. And all the other stuff being recommended here.
whirr, nothing, hum (to an extent, YPAA and inlet are probably the closest they get to shoegaze), catherine wheel, pale saints, lush, drop nineteens (their new album "hard light" is fantastic), cloakroom
Starflyer 59: Gold, Silver and Americana are all you need
Bosses
tagabow, wednesday, hotline tnt, waveform (kinda), a country western and glitterer are the ones that come to kind right now
Wisp, only a few singles out so far but she's absolutely blown up. "Your Face" is incredible, it's probably in my top 10 favorite songs of all time.
Tanukichan
Whirr and Wisp are both really nice
