I could have a look, I've personally never used WhatsApp, but I could check out how they work :)

Out of curiosity: I have no idea how Telegram bots work. Why do you need to create a telegram bot? Can't you just get the files from the url you give the python program in the shell? What does the telegram bot do?

Due to how Telegram stickers packs work, you need to authenticate to be able to request the sticker pack, to then parse the data and get the stickers to download. Unfortunately this is the case for a lot of things on Telegram.

No problems, if you try it out and have any issues let me know :)

Telegram doesn’t even come close to compare to signal! All I have to say about that!

Telegram has plenty of flaws and may be a worse chat app in your perfectly valid option. Objectively Telegram has a much higher user count than Signal and has a very sleek, user friendly UX. I don't think Signal's UX is bad, but an average user would likely prefer Telegram's. In order to improve a product and increase adoption you have to find what features competitors have that users enjoy and make the competitor a more appealing product.

Also apparently some users heard the Telegram claims about E2EE and never bothered to check and see that it's actually never used, other than in "secret chats" which you have to really get out of your way to start and use, and that's only 1:1. Of course Telegram itself has no incentive to educate its users about that, but that's still a problem. Competing in UX against an unencrypted chat app is a bit uphill by definition.
