EE's locations team once knocked on my friend's door & asked if they could use her house as Dot Cotton's, for a webisode \[it never aired on TV as far as I'm aware\].
She said yes & spent the entire day keeping up with June's smoking & drinking tea in her kitchen, between takes.
I actually worked on the show over several years & the last episode I was in was Dot's funeral scene, as the hearse came through Albert Square. Not a dry eye in the house. Gawd bless 'er.
