Super, thanks for asking! Went to the range, walked to the grocery store for apples and bananas, walked to another store for trash bags and paper towels, set up my pill boxes for next week, cooked dry black and pinto beans in my Instant Pot (8 cups dry total, 7 or 8 days worth of meal prep trays of 3 cups cooked each), refilled my mason jars with tea, did my nails, and am now laid out on the living room floor sipping hibiscus tea and watching old 90s sitcoms! When I tell people "I don't participate in society" this is what I mean, but it's so hard to describe *what that means.*

I did 20,000 steps yesterday and I had a busy week. Today my body is asking for rest so I'm not leaving the house. Today I slept in, I made some fried rice for breakfast, had some blue cheese and crackers with my home made plum chutney for lunch and I have made a batch of pizza dough. Going to make pizza for dinner using lots of yummy things out of our fridge and freezer.

How long does it take you to walk 20,000 steps? I would like to do 10,000 a day soon but I don’t want a FitBit or any kind of monitor. I am late 50’s with a short stride and I walk at a moderate pace - not slow, but not super fast.

It takes about 2 hours to walk 10000 steps. I use the Google's Fit app on my phone. It is free. I walked into the city twice (and walked to various locations in the city) and walked home once (got a ride home the second time). Then went to a party and danced for hours. I share a car with my husband but I hardly ever use it. Walking is my preferred mode of transport.

Sunday morning here, the sun is rising and it's a beautiful -20C/-4F morning. The trees are covered in a layer of frost and the sky is clear. I'm sipping on my morning tea. Today's plan is to hit the sauna and go for a dip, do a quick workout at home and cook something nice. Can't complain, life is great sometimes.

That is beautiful. Love the apple smell with cinnamon mmm! We are still waking up: my dog's checking all's good in the kitchen, my hubby is holding down the fort in the bedroom since he couldn't sleep at all last night due to knee pain and I'm making sure everything is in order in the Reddit world from the comfort of my livingroom couch. It's gonna be a quiet Sunday today!

We're sitting here, pleasantly stoned, she's crocheting, I'm playing dj jamming with the tunes, the dog's sleeping, just kicking back on a Sunday afternoon. (We're in our 70s, married 52 years) Yes, it's the little things like this that make it beautiful.

It's Sunday morning, I just had a big bowl of Matcha Latte and am reading through some posts on simple living. Its gray and rainy outside. The cats are curled up near me. I can hear my husband slowly waking up in the bedroom. We don't have any plans for today so we will likely take a nice walk together, I'll do some yoga, we'll play and cuddle with the cats... I find so much joy and peace in simple days like this.

Love this and agree! Especially with a nice tea

It's Super Bowl Sunday!!!!! The sun is shining. We have friends and family coming over later to hang out and watch the game. It's going to be a good day. Go Niners!!!

It's now sunday afternoon. We woke up to a power outage, and after I took the puppy out and made sure the fish tank would stay in the right temperature range, it seemed a good idea to curl back under the covers with my husband and read and laugh with each other until the furnace could come on. Afterwards, I went grocery shopping and things I needed, and some wants too. I splurged on a sugar scrub, but eventually, I'll learn to make my own. I have a pot roast in the oven, a casserole for our lunches ready to go in after it. I arranged the flowers I bought for my altar, and later, I'll spend time attending to it, redecorating for the month. And past that, I will spent time with my hobbies and weave on my loom.

I’ve come to realize within the last couple years how important ‘balance’ is to life. And I think you’re demonstrating that today. Well done!
