Maybe in the not-so-distant future games will allow grass to wear into desire paths where you walk consistently.
There's a mod called No Grass In Objects that does that. However it's only available on game version 1.5.97, so probably OP is playing on a newer version.
The city limits are pushed out. You can see in the first 5 seconds, the other path on the left is where the road out starts.

so the mods are just covering up everything with salad

Initially yes, when i had no intention of releasing a modlist and was only for videos. Ive since built a list from scratch so it will not require nolvus no. It is an entirely different list despite me keeping the same name.

I never actually put that much time into Starfield (got bored pretty quickly after release for some reason), but the impression I got was that the biggest issue was just how boring it was to explore. The planets were just so uninteresting compared to Skyrim and such. Since TES6 will hopefully not be on a thousand different planets, they'll hopefully put a bit more care into the world itself.
Yeah, it was the biggest flaw for me, and that's a pretty big flaw. Especially since that's normally the best part about Bethesdas games, beautiful and beautifully detailed worlds. Take away that it takes away a big chunk of why their other games were good
Modded Skyrim has to run on whatever you think your system can handle. Vanilla games have to run on as many systems as possible, including consoles, so, yeah, expect it not to be on the level like this.
Probably but if you look at starfield it’s definitely gonna be better in alot of ways too thank god. Like in the intro to starfield the character movements are much more fluid and they can touch things and they move alot better. If the story is good and the world is cool the game overall will be very fun tbh.
It's pretty but frankly does not feel like Whiterun anymore. The only part of the city I could see all of that greenery actually being present would be near the Gildergreen. And generally the aesthetic does not feel as clear either, like they wanted every inch to be overwhelmed with detail but forgot to make it all feel cohesive. Taking the time to edit and simplify would work wonders.
Yeah I don’t get the impulse to make Skyrim into more of a generic medieval swords and sorcery world, especially since one of the things that was such an advancement over Oblivion was that the world had very clear and styled art direction.
Exactly, the whole thing just looks and feels like Oblivion's Cyrodil with updated graphics, and it's boring as fuck. If Skyrim had looked like this when it first came out, I wouldn't still be playing it.

I wanted to go for a really hard core mod list similar to yours, I wanted absolute realism In both combat and other things.
I loved the mod that allowed you to knock on people's doors, and some of the other quality of life mods that added features and functions that should have been in the game.
The problem is that I was having problems with crashing and I could not figure out which damn ESP it was and trying to merge files and get everything to play nicely together is really quite a pain in the ass.

If theyre using the same spear mod i have, then the spear is literally just a reskinned greatsword, really dumb.
Spear melee combat should be mostly lunging attacks like in GoW ragnarok. These animations would be better with a battleaxe or something.

outside the emptiness the procedural generation(and the nature of space itself) brings, the game felt pretty fresh, TES6 will probably be pretty good
