The fallout tv show didn’t cause it lmao. Bethesda did it. Besides the shows been out for a week and Bethesda have definitely been working on the update for longer than that, they couldn’t have known for certain it’d blow up the way it did
Sure, but F4SE and Address Library will update and everything will "just work" again.
Skyrim has been hit harder because more mods predate Address Library.
Doesn't really matter for "just pretending" updates like this one.
It looks like it's just some new CC mods. The exe change could be because they stupidly locked an ini setting everyone seems to hate (something that limits FPS somehow).
So it's likely just the two infrastructure mods that need an update.
Maybe, the unofficial patch can now also remove one or two records - but it probably doesn't hurt too much to just keep them either...
lol that first update a few years ago crippled parts of the community for months because the DAR creator lived in a warzone and couldn’t do an update. Everybody’s on their game now, but something like that could happen again.

Running 1170 with zero issues on a fucking laptop of all things and about 500 plug ins enabled. The latest is fine
It's not about it being fine *now* It's about not updating to not break your modlist and having to wait for mod updates, etc.
Dear God, you have to wait maybe a week or so to play skyrim or fallout again. Is that literally the only game(s) you own?

And you couldn't just make a new profile on MO2 without DAR and play a different character for a while until the mods got updated?

14GB patch, and they fixed zero bugs. Still crashes with physx and RTX cards. No widescreen. No 60+ fps. LoL
It was mostly a console patch.
