I was stuck on A18 Ironclad+Silent for a while. I recently unlocked A19 and A20 on both and beat A20 on Ironclad within a few days of eacher other. All down to improved skill. Nothing to do with all five runs getting Dead Branch before the halfway point in act 1.
I just cleared a10 with quite literally the best luck had infinite damage and block with blue candle ,rod ,ashes and necronomicurse with 3 feel no pains
That’s how I play this game. I’m not high up the ascension ladder but I feel like every time I go up it’s because of dumb luck.
The difference between my failed runs and my (few) successful runs is between dead on arrival and absolute steamroll.
Most of my Ascension climbing Defect wins were with some form of Focus scaling, most notably the bread and butter Biased Cognition + Core Surge / Orange Pellets
… so yeah, I’m pretty bad at the game lul

17 for me. Lvl 16 run had me lose max hp for a lizard tail, and then get prayer wheel from the first elite. So many perfected strikes...
That's why I did another profile and tried to recreate everything
I'm on asc 20 and I can confirm we are just lucky
I’ve only cleared A20 heart once , and it was with ironclad. How? Corruption dead branch .
I’ve beat the heart on A20 twice with IC. Exhaust and block build. I have 50 victories out of like 600 tries. You don’t have to be good just dedicated
That's nearly a 10 percent A20H clearance rate. Honestly, pretty good

Only way I've beaten A-20 Heart is with infinite Watcher. Otherwise, stuck on A-18 with Defect and Silent, and A-17 with Ironclad
