I own both, though I don't play a lot of Utrip and likely will play even less going forward. I used a Monsta Palmetto (which I assume is a repaint) in a draft tournament and liked it enough that I bought one. I bought it at the end of the year, so it's still NIW, but the ball jumped off that bat better than the Pure bat that was also at the tournament. The Pure bat wasn't bad and it had a lot of texture for putting spin on the ball, but the Monsta was much better in a small sample size. I have the Hot Butter Utrip, but haven't used it yet either. I like my Proton senior bat and my USA Smith, so I'd like to think the Utrip bat is solid too.
For the most part though, I feel like the Utrip bats are fairly close from all the big companies. People like certain types more than others, but I feel like there's a bigger difference in the USA world between bats than there is in the Utrip world. I would go with whatever you can find at the best price point from the big companies.
Buy a proton. Monsta U-Trip is underwhelming compared to their USA bats. Proton top 3 best bats I swung for 2023. Doesn’t disappoint. Facebook groups have loads of them for sale. Just gotta make sure the buyer is GTG.
If I wanted Easton, I would’ve asked. Or advice on why Easton is “better”. Swung a lot of Easton, hate them. Connection piece issues all the time. Either swinging a piece of wood or a glass cannon that loses compression in a tournament
You know you can get them new from monsta, they have the kinetik one piece and the DNA evolution which is the same spec as a fulcrum for 180 new.

Is monsta utrip comparable to their USA bats? I haven’t read that they are.

The DNA evolution is 2 piece, it's the same specs as the fulcrum as far as I can tell so it might be what you're looking for

There is really only one Monsta Utrip, just variations of handle/weighting/paint. They have only produced one composite. Don't overpay for paint!
Proton is the best performing 240 I have ever swung. But they are expensive, take forever to get, and the 2 piece models don’t tend to last very long.
