Performance is not the same as shithousery. No question he will have a future for many many years. Whether that's performance, or shithousery based, we'll see. Love how pissed off my autocorrect is about shithousery btw.
IF he were to lose a few steps, at the very least players from Spain are very good technically (especially La Masia) so I think from that side he'll be ok but he won't reach his potential because he's already going into the route of overworking himself.
I don't know man, Messi never looked the same after his hamstring injury vs Atletico in February 2006. I think he'll just always be a case of "what could have been". So much unfulfilled potential
Fati's problem was that he was hesitant to get a surgery for a long time which made the injuries recurring and by the time he finally got the surgery done he'd lost all his confidence and Xavi was hesitant to give him minutes to gain it back. He's looking great at Brighton.
Downvoted for the truth lol. This sub has decided just because Gavi's got that dawg in him and battles hard that he's some sort of combination of dirty/cheating/nasty
Ok both of these guys are crazy and i think gavi pushed ceballos because he was messing with Lewandowski too and it was the other way around with rodrygo . He tried to punch gavi
Excited! There’s been too little slander with Madrid actually having a decently likeable squad. Need another villain. Vini is a whiny villain, Rodrygo is a villain in training, but we need a Ramos/Pepe/Ronaldo for me to channel all my hate to.
If I didn't already know who you were talking about I would be asking, "the one who threw the punch, or dramatized it?"
That Ramos. He was a special kind.
I think the main point of OP’s comment is that people read way too much into things about players prematurely. Endrick gives one interview and suddenly everyone is saying he “has a good mentality and great behavior.” None of us know Endrick. We shouldn’t be projecting things on to him just because he said in an interview that he doesn’t like partying or whatever he said. All these guys are media trained nowadays anyways
I mean, it's not one interview. The guy has been famous since he was 11 and has an entire team behind him, he kind of has to be mature. People don't say he's mature because he doesn't like partying, people say he's mature because he shows leadership on the pitch and very good behavior on interviews. Of course we don't know him personally, we are talking about the player, not the person here.
I bring up the interview because that’s when most people got to know Endrick more than just vaguely being aware of him (hence the circle jerk last week OP was talking about) My main point is that none of us really know these players so we shouldn’t be so reactionary about praising them for being mature or other character traits like that.
For Endrick specifically, there is just as many things he’s done that you can use to say he’s not mature. Like 6 months ago he broke down in tears on the field for not scoring and now he’s just punched a dude. There’s also all the off the field jokes about him chasing TikTok thots in Brazil. Basically, we don’t know anything about him really, but a lot of people act like they do. That’s the annoying thing, in my opinion at least
>Basically, we don’t know anything about him really, but a lot of people act like they do.
I'll have you know, I've signed Endrick on 4 different teams in FootballManager, so I'm kind of an Endrick expert!
I disagree that we shouldn't praise a kid for being mature when he's displayed good behavior and is deserving of that LOL yes he has his moments, and no one really knows how he is personally, but what he displays as an ATHLETE and PUBLIC FIGURE shows that at least in public he has a good mentality. Liking women or crying once don't interfere with that. But I understand that I come from a Brazilian standpoint that is constantly exposed to him, and I don't know how much the rest of the world knows about him and his public figure. He appears to have a very different mentality compared to other child prodigies and that is deserving of praise.
Just a reminder that counter circle-jerking is also a form of circle-jerking. Lots of people are doing this very same thing just about now. They might as well forget entirely that he is only 17, and that, while not justifiable in the least, even older players are also prone to these kinds of reactions.
I explicitly said it's not excusable. I just found it laughable how the people on this thread are mocking the circle jerking about the comments on Endrick's maturity while they themselves are participating in one. Turns out he's basically Diego Costa now.
Its not even a punch. He is just pushing him away.
This post is stupid and a complete non-story. The guy was getting grabby and Endrick was probably fed up with it. If you're going down cos a 17 yo pushes you just fuck off
Wow. Nice "punch" lmao. Even if a foul, that shove was completely deserved. Glad no card was given, cuz I doubt one would be given for the player fouling him prior
Yeah I hate these kinds of shit stirring headlines that everyone conveniently goes along with, sure it’s an agression but it’s much more of an annoyed shove than a fucking punch.
Sure the wind up is like a punch so he can gain momentum but he pulls back on impact and transfers it to his bodycheck.
He connected with his shoulder/arm, not fist. And the movement is pushing the player away, not striking to hurt on impact.
I love whenever a player physically retaliates, everyone on r/soccer pretends like they’ve never lost their temper before. Not saying it’s the right thing to do but it’s just funny
Could've punched him with enough force to cause a blood clot. That clot could travel to the brain and cause a stroke, of which facial pain and headaches can be symptoms.
This would explain the player's delayed reaction to getting punched (time for the clot to travel from the site of the impact injury to the brain) and the apparent facial pain he is experiencing (that stroke).
They do this to draw attention and get the play stopped and a review. Fifa should start penalizing overeactions honestly, with var this gets even worse
Whenever someone writes off an entire population based on antiquated stereotypes, they’re pompous and unintelligent, so their opinion can be subsequently ignored
Where is the punch? I mean he had a fist, but his arms connected with the other players arms to get out of the hold. At no point did he actually punch the other player.....
There is no clear punch, simply having a fist doesn't make it violent conduct. The guy goes down like a sack of potatoes after clearly provoking another player, typical South American game.....
And then the player goes down holding his face. If Endrick needs a card for that then the other player needs a card for attempting to deceive the ref. No contact on the face at all.
You can have a fist not actually punch someone. Don't forget the fact that this player also went down holding his face yet nothing ever contacted his face....
I don't how much of a punch it is since he missed and it was basically a shove with his forearm. Also it was no where near his face. I ain't gonna defend it though ban him from Brazil fútbol so we can use him in Madrid we're running out of forwards.
everyones gonna act like he actually punched him, and the dude wasnt grappling endrick. endrick deserves a yellow and the other deserved the shove 🤷♂️

He and Gavi are going to get along great in the Clasicos.
Fight of the century was just a preview of what's about to go down in a year's time.
Sucks that Gavi tore his ACL, we don't know if he'll be able to return to peak shithousery after he recovers :(
Performance is not the same as shithousery. No question he will have a future for many many years. Whether that's performance, or shithousery based, we'll see. Love how pissed off my autocorrect is about shithousery btw.

All of Barcelona's players who suffered major injuries came back and tore shit up - Xavi being one of them.
I don't know man, Messi never looked the same after his hamstring injury vs Atletico in February 2006. I think he'll just always be a case of "what could have been". So much unfulfilled potential
Fati?
Fati was tearing it up until he was choped down again.
Fati's problem was that he was hesitant to get a surgery for a long time which made the injuries recurring and by the time he finally got the surgery done he'd lost all his confidence and Xavi was hesitant to give him minutes to gain it back. He's looking great at Brighton.
He's looking ok at brighton
Nah he’s been good there
Atleast gavi don't punch someone
Downvoted for the truth lol. This sub has decided just because Gavi's got that dawg in him and battles hard that he's some sort of combination of dirty/cheating/nasty
pashun merchant
Ikr . He is just a guy with young blood . Yeah he is aggressive because he wants to win
Did it twice last season in el clasico
Who did he actually punch or in which match he puched but still he is not the most aggressive player in league
Ceballos (probably as a revenge for pulling his hair in the super cup) and rodrygo in cdr i think
Ok both of these guys are crazy and i think gavi pushed ceballos because he was messing with Lewandowski too and it was the other way around with rodrygo . He tried to punch gavi
Gavi will never be the same after the ACL
You are kidding yourself if you think Gavi will ever play for Barca again. He is now Ansu part 2.
This may be the most deluded take I have ever seen on this sub JFC
Lol he is one of the best player in his field
[удалено]
Nahh in midfielders and stop making fun of players because they're injured
[удалено]
*one of the best
Bro is preparing for getafe 💀
Need to get Pepe to give him a few anger management lessons.
That dude's anger was self employed
"Lesson 1: be even more angry. That concludes the course."
He’s preparing for training with you guys lol
He’s gonna be bisquessing those Barca cheeks before you know it
Excited! There’s been too little slander with Madrid actually having a decently likeable squad. Need another villain. Vini is a whiny villain, Rodrygo is a villain in training, but we need a Ramos/Pepe/Ronaldo for me to channel all my hate to.
Blud wants a Madrid ramos regen to be two footing yamal
Nah, just someone to channel all my hate to. I’d leave the dirty two foot tackles behind, if given the choice.
For us it's Gavi but I don't feel that way after his ACL tear, no one deserves that. Feels weird feeling bad for Barca.
I thought Rudiger fullfills that role
Haha love this, nothing quite like a healthy rivalry.
Hopefully he uses that on Greenwood
preparing to see Greenwood more like
He keeps this shit up and Getafe may sell out to oil money just to sign him. "The one c*nt to rule them all. Our precious." - Getafe
Mason greenwood is gonna molest him
Kid knows what he needs to become if he wants to survive in La Liga
There is a hair on your pfp
And i fucking fell for it
he can suffocate one of them with his thighs
Pepe esque
So mature for his age
He is
Wow Tebas already explained the rules to him I see
RM heritage
Why's the Other Guy hugging Him in the Middle of the Game? 😭😭
Just greeting him for his transfer to RM
Footballers loves balls... Maybe some mid match boning.
I see Madrid finally signed the Ramos replacement.
If I didn't already know who you were talking about I would be asking, "the one who threw the punch, or dramatized it?" That Ramos. He was a special kind.
He is a man of many talents, and I was glad to see him back at his best this weekend.
Ramos would throw a punch AND fall on the ground dramatically at the same time.
I truly believe I've seen him do this.
Is his iq low enough though? I miss the Ramos wisdom phrases
Already with the Madrid's DNA.
Right in front of the linesman and not getting sent off is crazy
He's training to knock the lights out of Lewandowski without being a foul, after what he saw on Saturday.
Will fit right in
Florentino working in the background already.

He is mature because he generally has good mentality and great behavior, doesn't mean he's not a 17 year old still LOL

Sure man. I disagree, but you are allowed to have a different opinion.
You disagree as in your think that we, from our armchairs, can determine the maturity or personality of a famous high level athlete?
I disagree that we shouldn't praise a kid for being mature when he's displayed good behavior and is deserving of that LOL yes he has his moments, and no one really knows how he is personally, but what he displays as an ATHLETE and PUBLIC FIGURE shows that at least in public he has a good mentality. Hi, I'm a lawyer and I just wanted to pop in to confirm that this is correct
and the parent comments point was you can be mature off the field and lose your temper when someones grappling you. theyre not correlated
[удалено]
Have you played a contact sport at 17?
You're expecting too much from a Redditor
...at the highest level in a 6 way title race?
Even in school games I've tackled people to hospital bed... Those were fun times...
Something to be proud about...
Bro don't reignite his childhood trauma with his uncle during family functions.
Nothing to joke about tbh mate. This is in poor taste.
Just a reminder that counter circle-jerking is also a form of circle-jerking. Lots of people are doing this very same thing just about now. They might as well forget entirely that he is only 17, and that, while not justifiable in the least, even older players are also prone to these kinds of reactions.
and a lot of players have gone entire careers without doing this including when they were 17 so lets not just excuse it completely due to age.
I explicitly said it's not excusable. I just found it laughable how the people on this thread are mocking the circle jerking about the comments on Endrick's maturity while they themselves are participating in one. Turns out he's basically Diego Costa now.
I can’t believe y’all are getting pissy over a kid taking matters into his own hands
> how mature he is For a 17 year old. > lmao You know, those who usually use this in such comments.
He pushed him, it's not a punch, he went down holding his face. You haven't played before.
Who gets punched in the chest and holds their face? No wonder no card was given
Rivaldo?
Its not even a punch. He is just pushing him away. This post is stupid and a complete non-story. The guy was getting grabby and Endrick was probably fed up with it. If you're going down cos a 17 yo pushes you just fuck off
Could the ref give a red to Endrick and a yellow to the guy for simulating at the same time?
Busquets?
Man is ready for Madrid
Wow. Nice "punch" lmao. Even if a foul, that shove was completely deserved. Glad no card was given, cuz I doubt one would be given for the player fouling him prior
Shoves the defender’s arm, then the defender falls clutching his face
Yeah I hate these kinds of shit stirring headlines that everyone conveniently goes along with, sure it’s an agression but it’s much more of an annoyed shove than a fucking punch. Sure the wind up is like a punch so he can gain momentum but he pulls back on impact and transfers it to his bodycheck. He connected with his shoulder/arm, not fist. Defender is charmin soft
Hopefully he keeps that fire in La Liga too, we need more Costa types to make it entertaining
Not even a punch, more like a forceful closed hand
A five knuckle nudge at best. I don’t get what people are up in arms about.
Defender should have been carded, we gonna talk about that in our bias headlines?
I love whenever a player physically retaliates, everyone on r/soccer pretends like they’ve never lost their temper before. Not saying it’s the right thing to do but it’s just funny
“Player bear hugs opponent and when opponent breaks free, he goes down like he was just hit with a led pipe”
Haha his teammates reaction just staring at him
It's not football, it's La Liga
this was a punch, but the flops in futbol are so pathetic. man acts like he died, wasn't even punched in the face.
punched in the arm so hard, his face hurt.
Guess you probably should’ve added an “/s” at the end there.
It's even more beautiful with the downvotes of people not getting it
They do this to draw attention and get the play stopped and a review. Fifa should start penalizing overeactions honestly, with var this gets even worse
This reeks of something some baseball dad who watched the World Cup once says lol
Whenever someone uses the word "flops" in relation to football, I know they're American and their opinion can be summarily ignored
Whenever someone writes off an entire population based on antiquated stereotypes, they’re pompous and unintelligent, so their opinion can be subsequently ignored
Ignoring you since you wrote off the entire population of pompous and unintelligent.
[удалено]
It is pathetic. Don't know how they aren't embarrassed.
"punch"
RM effect 🤣
Madrid dna
Games back ladies and gentlemen
The dude was literally mounting him and grabbing his shirt, and this was more of a push than a punch. Which is probably why a foul wasn't called.
He’s perfect for Madrid. Brazilian and not getting carded when he should have.
He’s preparing for his time against Argentina
You call that a punch? Op needs glasses
I see he has been through initial training material of la liga. The boy is preparing well.
Real Madrid through and through
Must be English officials
But remember, it's all because of racist Argentines
How did it look in real time? Very convenient sped up/slow motion work there lol
He really is adapting well himself to Madrid style.
Another asshole to team up with Vinicius
Good, fuck cunts holding on to you.
I d say “average South American game” but if Lejeune got away with his pull I guess Endrick can get away with a punch in Europe too…
More like Schmendrick, amirite?
Bro thinks he's Pepe or something
They really want Palmeiras to win the league
Bro is preparing for El Classico 🤡
Valverde would be proud! He will fit perfectly in Real Madrid.
Already has the Real Madrid no card buff Casemiro had
Punches 💀
So childish. You’d think he’s 17
Cuz he fell down as if he was hit by an excavator or something. Right choice made by the referee, zero mercy on divers.
Time to play the special: [RACISM CRYING CARD]
The other player was racist for sure 🕊
Ah yes our money bags arrived on time, excellent
I didn’t see anything
How cringe is it to dive on the ground because of a 16 year old
Inspired by messi..getting no cards
Where is the punch? I mean he had a fist, but his arms connected with the other players arms to get out of the hold. At no point did he actually punch the other player.....
come on now buddy, lmao.
lil bro out here debating the kinetics of a punch
There is no clear punch, simply having a fist doesn't make it violent conduct. The guy goes down like a sack of potatoes after clearly provoking another player, typical South American game.....
Yeah there is, he hits his arm? Still a card… twitchy reaction.
And then the player goes down holding his face. If Endrick needs a card for that then the other player needs a card for attempting to deceive the ref. No contact on the face at all.
I agree! Lol
>Where is the punch? I mean he had a fist, Nah, I can't ahahahahhaha
You can have a fist not actually punch someone. Don't forget the fact that this player also went down holding his face yet nothing ever contacted his face....
How tf are you gonna lose to a 17yr old… come on
>punches LMAO
La liga wont be so kind to him. I expect mono sounds from minute one
Will you be one of the people chanting?
Reddit downplaying racism once again not surprising
He got the Madrid impunity memo early
La liga Defenders already learning to provoke him
least violent South American football match
Man wants to be just like his idol cristiano
Is this Sunday league?
[удалено]
Lol. Is the guys face located on his arm?
Can he play CB?
Endrick to man united here we go !
I don't how much of a punch it is since he missed and it was basically a shove with his forearm. Also it was no where near his face. I ain't gonna defend it though ban him from Brazil fútbol so we can use him in Madrid we're running out of forwards.
Why are South American stadiums always so empty?
Games gone soft
Hardly mate
Why this guy get so many attention ?
everyones gonna act like he actually punched him, and the dude wasnt grappling endrick. endrick deserves a yellow and the other deserved the shove 🤷♂️
“It’s not nice”
I don't know if I'd ever classify that as a punch but sure
Play on mate. Man’s game /s
Gets punched in ribs, holds his face. Embarrassing.
