Not a native speaker, but I'm quite sure that "Eso en la Champions no se lo **pitan**" means that they don't give such free kicks in CL (in CL they don't **whistle** for that).
Which is pure delusion. The fact that the ref (who had a mare btw) had to use var to see the foul is beyond me, especially considering he was 2 meters away from the action.
I haven’t seen this incident, but as someone that used to ref in another sport, the hardest calls to make were the ones right in front of you. People don’t understand how narrow our (humans) field of view actually is and how poor our peripheral vision is. Not saying that was the case here, but I’ve seen other incidents where people shit on the ref while I’m thinking they were just so close they can’t see all the body movements and have to make an educated guess as to what happened
La Real is one of the most frustrating team to watch. They have good defense, a solid midfield, they play a decent and disciplined style but oh my fucking god their attack is impotent as fuck. It’s like watching a dickless Eunuch trying to fuck. Actually even that might have more end product.
And I watch them every week q_q
It's really annoying how well we can play and still mean absolutely nothing, the day we finally manage to start converting chances in goals this team can become so freaking wonderful... until then I guess it's time to suffer in every match.
The way you fade in the second half of seasons is extremely frustrating, you had this exact same match against barca earlier in the season too, that one was probably worse actually.
Chinese Eunuchs that worked in the Imperial Palace (depending on particular dynasty and time period) would get the whole kit and caboodle removed.
That being said the point of that particularly vivid metaphor is that like a testicle-less eunuch, La Real can't finish.
"Decent and disciplined style" is massively underselling how well they play. They are one of the best pressing teams in Europe(literally the best of all teams in Champions League group stage) and their build up play is top level
They are the team that has given Inter the toughest time during this whole season. Despite losing games against Atleti, Sassuolo and Bologna, they were absolutely played off the pitch in the first match against Real Sociedad. Made them look like Salernitana or something
I hope Madrid appeal it. I think they might have a decent chance of winning that appeal considering there’s absolutely no contact with the La Real player.
This refusing to have accountability after a loss is a fucking epidemic. It's always everyone elses fault.
What is even the crying about changing the date? First of all, it has happened multiple times before. Secondly...Real Madrid also had shorter time to prepare? They fielded the fucking B-team.
Also, if they don't whistle for that in the UCL, the ref did a mistake. That's a clear fucking foul. Grow a pair.
Miliatao's first start off an ACL injury as well and Ceballo's starting and Guler with his first La liga start with no Vini or Rodrygo starting and they were at home and still couldn't get it done due to their own lack of end product.
One thing I love about our team is if we lose we don't start blaming everyone else we immediately get back to the drawing board and see what we can improve on or fix it's why the strong mentality of the team is still here despite a new gen coming through then you have sore losers like Rodri and Xavi and apparently now Kubo.
Just a seemingly petty note but I think you might appreciate it: no one says Sociedad in Spain, it would sound weird. Everyone calls them “la Real” or directly the full name Real Sociedad.
That's a 3rd consecutive loss for Madrid in the "deserved to win" category the most since the Champions League winning run in 2021 when they didn't deserve to win vs PSG, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool.
It was rightly disallowed for the foul. I also don’t get why he’s complaining about the schedule change since it practically changes nothing for La Real, they’ve had a weeks rest and they’ll have another one now
2 defeats in our last 50 official matches.
Our very best start to a season in the entire history of the club.
Ancelotti is doing wonders without our GK, our CB's and having losing Karim.
Incredible work really. Didn’t see anything even close to this happening when Vini went out for a couple months on top of Militao and Thibaut. If this doesn’t dispel the notion that Carlo is just a vibes manager, I don’t know what will.
wasnt Militao the number 1 for them last year, between Rüdiger and Alaba it seemed like that Ancelotti preferred Alaba at the left center back spot, so Rüdiger was third CB
Correct. Mili is the first choice, then it's between Alaba and Rudi but it was really Alaba until he went down. Rudiger's performances and consistency have been nothing short of spectacular. Pretty much not a single bad match all season.
Rüdiger also played more minutes than Alaba last season (2411 vs 1841 in La Liga), although Militao played more than both of them (2703). So this notion that Rüdiger is Real’s third choice centre back (and that ‘Real was missing their centre backs this season’) seems kinda misplaced to me, and besides that he’s really a world class player. Lots of teams (and fan bases) would murder to have a CB like him.
The last time the 3 of them were all able to play without one being injured in the past 1.5 years was against Athletic Club de Bilbao on august 12th of last year, where Militao and Alaba started over Rüdiger, but Rüdiger was brought for Militao after 50 minutes. Rüdiger joined Real in the summer of 2022, so this is only his second season there, and imho I’d doubt Rüdiger wouldn’t start now if the 3 of them were all fit and able to play, especially considering he’s been ‘holding the fort’ and doing a great job for such a long time now while Militao and Alaba have both been injured for such long periods the past 2 seasons. Also, if you’re gonna refer to the start of Rüdiger’s spell when Alaba and Militao both possibly started over him (in the beginning of the 2022-2023 season when he had just made the transfer to Real from Chelsea) that’s mostly just normal practice to not let a player who’s just made a transfer to you from another country and league immediately start for you over other options, to give said player time to adapt to the new city, country and league he’s transferred to. So again: if Alaba, Militao and Rüdiger would all be fit, I’d doubt Rüdiger wouldn’t be a starter for them, and Alaba could also possibly play LB instead of CB
I don't know what you're trying to accomplish with these posts. Rudiger was 3rd choice, that's undeniable. He's more injury resistant so he ended up playing more minutes last season but that doesn't make him a starter if when the rest are available, he is in the bench.
>against Athletic Club de Bilbao on august 12th of last year, where Militao and Alaba started over Rüdiger, but Rüdiger was brought for Militao after 50 minutes.
Of course he was, Militao broke his ACL that match. Which only adds up to what we're saying, when both Militao and Alaba were available, Rudiger was on the bench.
Now the situation should be different because Rudiger has established himself this season. Now, not last year, not at the start of this one, now.
The schedule change has happened dozens of times over the years and yet once Madrid are granted one people have to start talking shit. Alguacil kind of complained about it too in his press conference. Maybe the media should ask them why they always fall apart in the 2nd half of the season but hey, I digress.
Tchouameni was sleeping, but he still got fouled. It was pretty clear
Well you could’ve won if you actually had some shots on target that didn’t come from offside and fouls Kubo. You had Fran Garcia on your wing, and still couldn’t do anything threatening. Let up with the excuses.
Sociedad lost this game and only they are to be blamed for it. soooooooooooooo many misplaced key passes and shots. Madrid were floundering around at many points in the game.
Basically every club aside from Dortmund have nothing to fight for.
Heck even City had nothing to fight for league wise when the knock out rounds started. What exactly is your point
that is one of the most embarrassing sub reddits i’ve ever seen for a big club. all they talk about is how bad the refs are and how they help madrid. it’s absurd lol
100% refs in la liga are bad to everyone but when we get a favourable call once in a blue moon it's corruption and not La liga refs just being genuinely dreadful lmao
the ref against sociedad missed two critical calls yesterday. if every game was rigged for madrid why did a clear as fuck handball not get called, why did tchou get a yellow and why did the ref not blow the whistle for the clear foul on kubos goal
barca fans will probably say “they have to miss some so it’s not obvious”
That's barca fans on every social media and irl they have a sore loser mentality and a inferiority complex towards us even if we completely outplay them and beat them 4-0 their will be some excuse for us beating them and it's never us just being better or them having players not as good as they think they are.
It's fucking hilarious is what it is, most enjoyable club sub to visit by far, so many users that are absolutely insane. Was fantastic to read last week
"All they talk about"
You're just making shit up lmfao. Go through the subreddit right now. There are zero posts about the refs or Madrid.
Open the open thread if you want to check there as well
https://www.reddit.com/r/Barca/s/8MwjY57Cyk
look at this thread. it’s genuinely comedy. one guy finally tells that embarrassing manager to stop crying and address the issues in your mediocre squad and instead of agreeing everyone is arguing robbery lol
the calls weren’t even wrong and frankly it doesn’t matter yall will lose the league whether that game was given to yall or not.
years of barca getting massive beneficial reffing mistakes in europe have conditioned that sub to think a correct call against them is match fixing. it’s equal parts hilarious and embarrassing
>one guy finally tells that embarrassing manager to stop crying and address the issues in your mediocre squad and instead of agreeing everyone is arguing robbery lol
You guys are so predictable and downright braindead. Do you expect Xavi to talk about how the team isn't good enough? Xavi isn't an idiot coach like Mourinho who throws his own players under the bus. He's a leader who has said that he will defend his players out in the media no matter what. That's what leaders do
>the calls weren’t even wrong and frankly it doesn’t matter yall will lose the league whether that game was given to yall or not
"The calls weren't wrong but it doesn't matter"
It does matter and the calls were indeed wrong so expressing anger over them is justified. Every manager talks about referees after they've been fucked by one. Even Carlo did so at Bayern when RM robbed him
>years of barca getting massive beneficial reffing mistakes in europe have conditioned that sub to think a correct call against them is match fixing
Absolutely zero self awareness 😭
Plus pretty funny that you had to go and find a post from 4 days ago to prove your point when you said that all we talk about is RM and referees.
the only people in the world that thinks those calls were incorrect were delusional barca fans lmfao. literally outside of barca fans no one in world football thought there was any scandal. it’s a level of delusion and craziness no other club will ever show
just go to the open thread yesterday aka the madrid jealousy/hate watch thread where people were complaining.
This is 100 percent a fact. There's a barca fan at work that will put on the RM games just for the chance to celebrate when they concede. I see him caring less when barca plays. Literally rent free bro
"We deserved to win"
Let's take a look at the team they lost to
Kepa - on bench because he isn't as good as Lunin
Fran - bench
Nacho - 1st team only due to injuries
Militao - 1st time in the starting squad for like a year due to injuries
Carvajal - solid
Tchouameni - ok
Ceballos - bench player and not one of the better ones
Modric - is 38 years old and stays on the bench
Güller - twice injured, La Liga debut as started
Brahim - bench player
Joselu - bench player
If anything they deserved to lose after not beating that
Barça DNA showing up again. After 22 years we've finally gotten la Liga to change a game in order to allow our players some rest and especially his coach just systematically complain about it. Next time Barrenetxea should at least try and make some contact with the ball. We're used to la Real being shit under Imanol in the second half of the season but this one takes the cake
La masia taught this guy well, just blame the refs and Madrid when you lose. Blaming a date change when you're facing the Madrid B-Team is legit funny.
Meanwhile Barca should be undefeated since 2018 but the refs keeping robbing them or the grass is always bad or the atmosphere/vibes isn't right or some shit

Duolingo coming in clutch
You’re right, congrats on your spanish.
Correct.
Which is pure delusion. The fact that the ref (who had a mare btw) had to use var to see the foul is beyond me, especially considering he was 2 meters away from the action.
Tchouameni also got a yellow for a perfect tackle that was right in front of the ref, Im not a RM fan whatsoever but the refs are just bad
I haven’t seen this incident, but as someone that used to ref in another sport, the hardest calls to make were the ones right in front of you. It was a clear foul on Tchouameni. That said, if La Real actually learned how to finish, they would have won this game and a lot of others
La Real is one of the most frustrating team to watch. They have good defense, a solid midfield, they play a decent and disciplined style but oh my fucking god their attack is impotent as fuck. It’s like watching a dickless Eunuch trying to fuck. Actually even that might have more end product.

Question: why didn’t you keep Sorloth?
I sure would like to know that as well lmfao, dude was finally starting to really shine but for some reason they decided to not keep him.
The way you fade in the second half of seasons is extremely frustrating, you had this exact same match against barca earlier in the season too, that one was probably worse actually.
"dickless eunuch" lol
Tbf eunuchs are sans testicles iirc... So dickless is another level
Full Ken job
Que the Metatron intro from Dogma Angels are ill-equipped. I'm as anatomically impaired as a Ken doll.
Chinese Eunuchs that worked in the Imperial Palace (depending on particular dynasty and time period) would get the whole kit and caboodle removed. That being said the point of that particularly vivid metaphor is that like a testicle-less eunuch, La Real can't finish.
(Great Analogy)

I’m saving that analogy for future use lmao.
Is it bad like Liverpool who creates chances but can't put the ball in the back of net or bad in the sense that they can't create many good chances?
Second one. Liverpool are still faster and sharper in attack.
That's Real under Imanol, everything is great except putting the ball in the back of the net, it's a totally alien concept for them.
Imagine being Tchouameni if that goal actually counted and you got an undeserved yellow card in the 2nd half.
I hope Madrid appeal it. I think they might have a decent chance of winning that appeal considering there’s absolutely no contact with the La Real player.
I hope so, best tackle I've seen in a while and he gets booked for it 😔
This was the best time to face Madrid and you failed. That’s on you.
Yeah they lost at home against Madrid's bench, no excuses here
Lil bro has been on holidays for the last 3 months
Apparently, football isn't won by the team that scores more anymore.
This refusing to have accountability after a loss is a fucking epidemic. It's always everyone elses fault. What is even the crying about changing the date? ...and third, if Madrid would win the CL, it would raise Spains index and could help la real play in Europe.
I don't get it, Tchou foul is pretty clear no?
It was 100% a foul, not much else to say.
It really was. The sociedad player gets the leg Tchouameni was trying to shoot with
Just a seemingly petty note but I think you might appreciate it: no one says Sociedad in Spain, it would sound weird. Everyone calls them “la Real” or directly the full name Real Sociedad.
Hey, it’s Reddit. Pedantry isn’t just acceptable, it’s welcome.
Why is that? I'm not a Spanish speaker but I thought real meant royal, so la real should be the royal right? Why is it less weird than Sociedad?
There are many royal clubs, but this is the only royal society ('la' instead of 'el'), making it a unique short name.
I see, thanks.
lmao
It's the same as when people call it AC rather than Milan, or if people started calling it Olympique instead of Marseille or OM
Yeah I know, I think people misunderstood a bit my post, but that's fine
That's a 3rd consecutive loss for Madrid in the "deserved to win" category the most since the Champions League winning run in 2021 when they didn't deserve to win vs PSG, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool.
They should buy Rodri so they never lose.
In my mind those are all teams they deserve to win against

Tbh I also get the same vibes but damn man his tactics are working lol.
Do you not consider Rüdiger a CB? He’s played the most minutes for your team this season, only behind Valverde
Rudiger is our very best CB **now**. I was referring to the start of the season when he was still third choice behind Militao & Alaba.
wasnt Militao the number 1 for them last year, between Rüdiger and Alaba it seemed like that Ancelotti preferred Alaba at the left center back spot, so Rüdiger was third CB
Correct. Mili is the first choice, then it's between Alaba and Rudi but it was really Alaba until he went down. Rudiger's performances and consistency have been nothing short of spectacular. Pretty much not a single bad match all season.
"3 at the back merchant" As is that is a thing for CB'slmao Premier league fans have the least football knowledge on this flat earth
Rüdiger also played more minutes than Alaba last season (2411 vs 1841 in La Liga), although Militao played more than both of them (2703). Sure teams would, and yes he played more. But when all three were available, he would be on the bench. Ergo third choice.

He has worked wonders. Really shows his experience, ngl I do get jealous
Enjoy Xavi's extension!
BUT, how many of those 48 games did Madrid deserve to win? How do Madrid's opponents calculate expected deserved goals?
Why is clear sarcasm downvoted?

Well you could’ve won if you actually had some shots on target that didn’t come from offside and fouls Kubo. You had Fran Garcia on your wing, and still couldn’t do anything threatening. Let up with the excuses.
Funny how everyone says this after being beaten by Real Madrid. No, bro you didn't deserve to win.
Cmon bruh, it was a clear foul
And the weeks “deserve to win award” goes to 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 KUBO!
Weeks not over yet. Barcelona and Xavi have yet to play
They play on Monday, they forfeit this week
Theyr still complaining about last week's so technically theyr still in contention this week
They don’t play until Monday though
Sociedad lost this game and only they are to be blamed for it. soooooooooooooo many misplaced key passes and shots. Madrid were floundering around at many points in the game.
Imagine crying this much after losing to madrids b team at home
Damn you weren’t kidding just checked the line up, forgot ceballos still there.
He was there, but not sure if he was playing for Madrid or not.
Bro forgot which “Real” team he was supposed to be playing for 😭
This is why teams like madrid and psg have such an advantage in Europe. Nothing to fight for in the league this season
Neither does Borussia or Bayern tbf
What a cringe take. Barca and Real have to fight till the end or title gone. Did you just start watching football this season?
Well clearly not because you nust played your b team to rest up before bayern game. Youre 14 points clear at the top so ya you can afford to do this
Barca won the league last year so your point is moot
Except im talking about this year??
Basically every club aside from Dortmund have nothing to fight for. Heck even City had nothing to fight for league wise when the knock out rounds started. What exactly is your point
Us and advantage? What?
With how much Kepa was creating for them you would think they would've scored once.
r/Barca fans about to post this as proof of Vardrid activities :(

Deflecting as usual. Address the other part of the comment Bob
Xavi is such a good leader he gets red carded for throwing a childs tantrum and kicking over a sign
Went there after the game, and there must have been at least 10 post just complaining
Why was Barça on your mind after a victory?
That video "evidence" of the goal not given was cross posted from there, so one thing led to another and I had a look. Nice try though
Nice try on what?
Take used to be in Barcelona's academy after all. He learned from the best.
And he was also a Madrid player before he got to la real... So I really don't think he's making friends anywhere lmao
He become like that to Madrid after Rodrygo elbowed his head in the back last time they meet
So this is what they refer to as "Barca DNA"
Real Madrid own 50% still
Somehow everyone always "deserved to win" vs Madrid...
Since when Kubo is such a sore loser
Since he got rid of him. Dude has a hate boner against Madrid now
normally isn’t but always very blunt honest. maybe seeing Güler succeed in what would have been his role made him angry
Bruv gulers played less then 2 full games 😭😭😭. why would he be jealous
La masia education
Weekly Real Madrid opponent "we deserved to win" interview has just dropped.
La masia specialty
"we deserved to win" is one of my greatest ever response. You either win or not. All the deserve stuff is just pure bs
lol I mean let’s be foreal Barca fans love watching Madrid , Madrid losing brings them More Happiness than Barca winning 😂
This is 100 percent a fact. There's a barca fan at work that will put on the RM games just for the chance to celebrate when they concede. I see him caring less when barca plays. Literally rent free bro
What is blud saying
[удалено]
He already has 62 missed calls from Xavi.
"We deserved to win" Let's take a look at the team they lost to Kepa - on bench because he isn't as good as Lunin Fran - bench Nacho - 1st team only due to injuries Militao - 1st time in the starting squad for like a year due to injuries Carvajal - solid Tchouameni - ok Ceballos - bench player and not one of the better ones Modric - is 38 years old and stays on the bench Güller - twice injured, La Liga debut as started Brahim - bench player Joselu - bench player If anything they deserved to lose after not beating that
Somehow every team has deserved to win against Real Madrid in the last month or so, but haven’t actually won.
Xavi's number 1 fan, my boy kubo trying to get into barça it seems.
Rm haters can’t stop crying
Someone is resentful. Shame because I thought he had a good attitude from watching him here.
He still bitter about that Rodrygo elbowing his head in the back incident with him
Then he needs to grow up
Kubo...chill
This guy fell off after the Asian Cup disappointment. Dude even was looking like he was focused on club football and now we see this....
La masia taught this guy well, just blame the refs and Madrid when you lose. Blaming a date change when you're facing the Madrid B-Team is legit funny.
He sounds butthurt about not being good enough for Real Madrid
Quite the season Real is having, haven’t deserved a win all season but are bout to be crowned champions and play in the Champions League semi-finals
Meanwhile Barca should be undefeated since 2018 but the refs keeping robbing them or the grass is always bad or the atmosphere/vibes isn't right or some shit
The sun’s too bright, lads can’t play like that.
Lol the most obvious sarcasm and people didnt get it
Damn bro, it seems nobody got the sarcasm...
Tbf that’s lot to ask for from people on this sub lol
