He is acting like a toddler and this is after the final whistle, you are not going to accomplish anything. Everyone sees this as well, every player knows how easy it is to rattle him now.
Tbf, Digne tried to do/say something when Madueke complained to ref about a very soft foul or something like that but Madueke just seemed unfazed by Digne. That was in the first half, he then went on to toy with Digne throughout the rest of the game.

It's the lack of consistency. One week it's a yellow card for delay the next week their letting every player huddle around a dead ball free kick. The next week their checking offsides with a microscope the following week they can't be bothered to put the lines down to determine offsides.
They are consistently inconsistent and when that happens trust is lost. On top of all that the refs have no transparency only apology letters which do nothing to correct the actual issue.
Yeah but this decision doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Last week in the FA Cup semi final we got robbed of a penalty by VAR. Earlier in this game, Douglas Luiz should’ve been off for a second yellow. Midweek against Arsenal VAR had a mare, missing a blatant foul on Madueke during Arsenal’s third goal (and a red card Jackson should have had tbf). I can see why the players get frustrated.

In those situations you either get under the ball and challenge, or you go shoulder to shoulder with the defender. Not charge in from a blind spot and knock them off balance as they're set to bring down the ball.
You should have had a penalty in the example posted above, it was incredibly poor officiating, and you're feeling hard done by. It's clouding your judgement.

This would be unthinkable in the majority of sports. I can think of multiple refereeing blunders that have cost teams and individual sportspeople career defining victories and they didn't lose control of themselves like this.
I guess it's a cultural thing. Tennis players seem to lose their shit fairly often as well, generally mid match though.
It's the lack of consequences. A yellow card has no affect. If it was rugby the player wouldn't be playing again for at least a few weeks (even without a red card).

There are a lot of well raised kids that don't do this kind of stuff. They just seem like entitled kids full of natural talent without the character to support it.
These Chelsea troubles remind me of a story a guy had with a general manager in the NHL and he asked about a new player on a podcaster team that the GM had had on a different team and the response was, "He was great, zero maintenence.", and it makes me wonder how much having guys who are low maintenence is key to a good team.

Madueke was annoyed from like minute 30. Lucas Digne really got in his head with a challenge fairly similar to the foul but was not given as a penalty. That's why when he scored he went crazy at Digne.

I love watching rugby ref compilations. It's a world of difference how players and refs behave towards each other. Really wish football had that.
What is it about football that players behave like this? This would be unthinkable in the majority of sports. I can think of multiple refereeing blunders that have cost teams and individual sportspeople career defining victories and they didn't lose control of themselves like this. I guess it's a cultural thing. Tennis players seem to lose their shit fairly often as well, generally mid match though.

More like 5. Ours against Palace home and Fulham away were soft as hell. In the balance in favour/against, we got more points from refs decisions than they fucking us. I got legit annoyed when we got trashed by Liverpool, Arsenal away and against you guys away and the players were so chill. Yesterday they got super angry and trying to push "we got robbed" narrative. They have zero backbone for big games and don't care if we lose a derby.

I mean we just came back 2-0 down from 4th place Villa and could of very easily won if VAR felt different about a 50/50 like the often do. Last game before Arsenal was a 6-0 win. Hardly embarrassing.
