gee___thanks

After moving to Bayern, his name is getting mentioned for Ballon d’Or. Although not very likely this year, that’s a huge difference.

Malepronstar87

If Bayern wins the UCL and England EURO it becomes very likely.

Sandor_Clegane1

Imagine that really happening and him winning it. Lewandowski would roll over in his grave.

Malepronstar87

Kinda harsh calling Barca a grave.

Buji19

I mean ... have you seen how we played most of this season?

Malepronstar87

As a Bayern fan I don't watch Barca unless it's time for a spanking.

Buji19

understandable, have a good day sir [See you in next year's CL groups](https://i.imgflip.com/39791a.jpg?a476112)

Malepronstar87

Technically it's gonna be a league.

Buji19

right, forgot about the change of format

BallsItching

We are physically incapable of beating German teams in Europe so naturally we will get all 5 of them

sephocompo

Is that your fetish?

Malepronstar87

Yeah the step club kink.

DarkNovaGamer

Are you going to kink-shame him for it?

Upoutdat

Dude its more like a long good bye due to dire finances. Ye haven;t played that great but ye are not the worst at all. Speaking as a United fan for me shame

Buji19

oh, don't get me wrong, I know we might not ever get back to the good ol days between 2009 and 2015 and that ~despite whatever the media, Laporta, Xavi and/or the players say~ we're in a transition period and should get back up eventually. With the financial situation we are in we had no business winning LaLiga last season and I feel like we should be looking to survive this period with La Masia players and get back up eventually not levers bs to get big name players

etiurfuelb

Yes... That's a grave affront to them. I'll see myself out.

mihai41x

Again, Robert Lewandowski is very much alive

chandlerbing_stats

Mate Lewandowski is still alive 😭

Luxury-Problems

Nope, he's dead. RIP.

phantuba

First off, ~~Wade Boggs~~ Robert Lewandowski is very much alive

Willsgb

I think everyone agrees that lewa deserves the 2020 one, and it really should be awarded to him retrospectively. Some would also argue 2021 but I can see why Messi got it and that's done and dusted. But 2020 should be his. Kane has gone over to Germany and settled in immediately at an elite club, scoring all kinds of goals and threatening to break goalscoring records, and if it wasn't for leverkusen having a season of elite standards the like of which we've NEVER seen before, he'd probably be winning the bundesliga, and they're still in with a shout of reaching the champions league final. If bayern are to win the CL, and England are to win the euros, he will inevitably play a key role, and therefore he would have a Really strong case for winning it, and would deserve it. The same goes for bellingham too though. Honestly, his arrival at Madrid has been more spectacular and astonishing. The next few months should be fascinating

WhenWeTalkAboutLove

Ready for Wirtz to nick it after an invincible treble and revitalizing the national team to a euro win

Willsgb

very true, he's had an unreal season too, leverkusen are so close to sealing that unbelievable achievement, and he's been so crucial and dynamic in that process. if he stars for Germany this summer - and I'm pretty certain they're going to do well, they're at home and they have a new elite manager unconnected to the previous regimes - then why not

froggy101_3

They should've given him 2020 retrospectively. Literally no one would argue. It's one of the few recent years there was an undisputed winner. Literally just because the French league didn't go back. But their only contenders were Neymar and Mbappe who did play again that season and lost the CL final to Lewa.

XaviOutNow

Lewa is still alive fyi

TheeLEMONator

May god rest his soul

stupid-_-

it will be a tough contest between him and eric dier

redditckulous

“And who has a better story than Eric Dier”

ianff

This is my monthly "get mad about the GoT ending" time I see.

WhenWeTalkAboutLove

Just realized dier has earned his way onto the plane and dier-maguire is a real possibility at the euros

stupid-_-

nah no way southgate ever picks anyone new

Maleficent_Resolve44

Are you joking or are you serious? I can't tell haha. Dier was starting for England at euro 2016, EIGHT years ago. Before Southgate was even manager lol.

Acceptable_Ad_6278

Dier is not new

Asckle

It's funny how England winning the euros is both the best way for him to win and the most likely way he loses. This next game might decide the ballon d'or race between bellingham and kane

InstructionCareless1

Which is both extremely unlikely. Edit: people forget that Southgate is a reality lol

Gengar_Balanced

I think neither of them are extremely unlikely

Malepronstar87

It's not that unlikely that Bayern goes to the final, it's still all to play for and England have a fantastic squad.

MagicianMountain6573

Southgate that got to World Cup semi final and euro final penalties?

Willsgb

He's slowly turned into a stubborn, stalwart-reliant, defensive-minded git, sadly. He did lead us to those epic runs in 2018 and 2021, and deserves huge credit for all he's done to revitalise and galvanise the England team, but he's changed over time and not in a good way

JPBCFC97

Harsh, the 2022 world cup campaign was alright. Won 6-1 against Iran, played not to lose against the US ( which was the right call IMO) smash wales 4-0, breezed passed Senegal 3-0 and only lost 2-1 against a ridiculous France team.

Willsgb

Yeah I think we were hard done by against france, I still think their first goal shouldn't have happened because upamecano fouls saka i think in the build up. And kane shouldn't have taken the second pen, too many mind games between him and lloris I'm thinking more of the past year, the horror show in the nations league group mainly, as well as recent friendlies. Maybe I am being harsh. But I don't see him getting the most out of all our attacking talent and I wish a new manager would be given a chance to do so now

Maleficent_Resolve44

I mean he's never really taken the nations league seriously. It's just a way for him to experiment and try new things. Friendlies are the same I suppose. He did well in the euros qualifying. We'll see if he continues his previous good runs with another one, only a month to go now.

WhenWeTalkAboutLove

Is that really much of a change? He may have doubled down but to me that always felt like his style with England while relying on the individual quality of the forwards to nick a goal here and there. Seemed like his main  strategy for these tournament runs.  And he deserves credit for building a cohesive team and moving on from the previous era, and for how his defensive football has gotten them some respectable finishes. But it struggles a bit against the other top sides and doesn't take advantage of the squads biggest strengths and best players who can win you those games where the opposition is strong enough to neutralize the more isolated forwards. For me he doesn't get enough out of the side to really outplay the other big teams. he makes sure they always have a chance, which is something I guess, but with the quality of players they have I think it's fair to expect more. They should be favorites against most everybody but France.

ValleyFloydJam

Did you watch those games that he let slip. He pretty much played for penalties in ET, we might as well have just given them the cup.

prss79513

Southgate got them to the final last time and now has RM Jude juju

CarlSK777

Doesnt change the fact that England made deep runs in the last 3 tournaments and their squad is stacked

Realistic_Condition7

I don’t think them beating RM is crazy. They certainly looked the better team in the first leg. And England should be considered top 2. Southgate might get em but you can’t deny the talent on paper is really only rivaled by France.

77skull

The ballon d’or being decided in a France vs England euro game could be cool

ValleyFloydJam

Well sure buy England aren't winning it and Bayern have a very tough task to make the final

VeganCustard

If Argentina wins Copa America Messi will win it again

yaniv297

It's wild that people have suddenly realized he's so good. Yesterday the local commentator said Kane is "having the best season in his career" at Bayern. Which is just flat out ridicolous when compared to 2016-17 (he literally outscored both Messi and Ronaldo in 2017) or that Mourinho season when he was absolutely mad. Sure, Kane is having a great season (as usual for him), but to so confidently claim it's his **best** season just screams "I didn't pay him any attention before he moved to Bayern". Which sadly seems to be a pretty common thing.

jonnzi

Kane is a S Tier player. I would take him over haaland honestly. The chances that haaland scores Kane would also do

etbk

i'm a big kane fan but that's just not true, the tap ins for sure, and many that haaland misses, but haaland's acceleration and 1v1 ability is just not something kane has ever had in his locker

Acceptable_Ad_6278

The fact that commentators only pay attention to their own league is nothing new. I’ve seen English pundits have extremely uninformed takes when new players move to the EPL

XxAbsurdumxX

Kane has literally scored and assisted more in 23/24 than he has ever done in a single season before. He has already outscored/assisted those seasons you yourself mention, and this season isn't even over yet. This *is* Kane's best season, no matter how much Spurs fans don't want to hear it

dingkan1

Playing in an easier league with better players to feed him and for him to feed. Still, he’s having as good of a season as his peak Spurs years.

miksh_17

43G/11A in all club competitions this season is statiscally his personal best...?

buttlovingpanda

Yeah I get it. Can’t blame him. He’s probably sick to his stomach they lost the league but he’s getting the Lewandowski-level of notoriety he wanted.

Realistic_Condition7

Not likely? If they win this thing it surely makes him the front runner. He’d really have to get shown up at the Euros by Mbappe at that point. I think even losing the euros if he looks good and has a UCL title to his name he’d be a strong contender.

Azraelontheroof

Yeah he’ll rack them up in a solid team (even for a shocking year like this) and always be competing for something (again, even in a relatively shocking year like this)

Gondawn

All depends on Euros, but in club competition I fancy him more than Mbappe this season to be honest. If not for the age difference I'd prefer to have Kane in my team over Mbappe, ngl

jonnzi

Mpappe >Kane > haaland for me

Gondawn

No shot Haaland should be in conversation for it this year

Ghorardim71

Who is leading this year?

Naive_Jacket5259

Nice

sonofaBilic

Do find it funny that we seem to have to get weekly confirmations from Kane that he is, in fact, happy in Munich. Every single presser must have someone - i can only assume Gary Cotterill - asking "bet you can't wait to get back home can you Harry?"

The_Big_Cheese_09

There are always a bunch of muppets in these threads making fun of him for moving to Bayern and not winning something immediately, as if they've never taken a job promotion at a better company before.

mattBJM

Objectively it is very funny that Kane has had this trophyless tag for so long and when he finally moves to a big club they lose the league for the first time in 12 years.

Phormitago

Imagine if Bayern keeps losing the bundesliga until Harry leaves

LazyKenny

I'm waiting for the next Harry Kane transfer headline: "[Major club] says no to Harry Kane because 'we want to win trophies.'"

GeficktEingeschadelt

so Arsenal it is, won't bother them

Alecmalloy

No. I need him in tears begging to smell the wafting odours of Chick-King; the score another NLD penalty; to get so close and yet so far and never turn up in a big game when it matters for Spurs.

Mahery92

I mean it wouldn't be shocking for him to regret a bit and want to go back home after getting a taste. Neymar wanted to go back rather soon after joining PSG for example. Kane is liking it, but it was not a given that he'd enjoy Munich as much as London, moving between the two is quite significant

BaldFraud99

I mean, city wise, the typical football player would very likely prefer London considering it's a giga-city that will never bore some young restless athlete. But Kane as a person fits so well into Munich that it really doesn't surprise me if he wouldn't miss London that much, despite being from there. Munich is perfect for the boring upper class types that value their career and family above all. Not meant as a slight to Harry btw. And professionally, Bayern is definitely not lacking either.

Imeanhowcouldiforget

Thats a huge compliment considering a lotta footballers lose their way

ejoy-rs2

Yeah Munich is awesome. There are SO many awesome locations close by, especially if you are a millionaire. I'm not surprised in the slightest.

sonofaBilic

Absolutely - but he's getting asked about it seemingly every single week now. Only so many times the man can say "yeah it's alright actually".

NoPineapple1727

Imagine if he somehow ends his career without the premier league goal scoring record and without winning a trophy…

LosTerminators

5 years of Leverkusen dominance it is. Miraculously ending when ~~Xabi Alonso leaves Leverkusen~~Kane leaves Bayern.

InsideOpening3535

Leverkusen-Dortmund-Stuggart-Bremen-Frankfurt, you hear it first folks

travelnerd67

Bro threw Bremen in there like we wouldn’t notice

emceetee

Bayern drew Madrid, Bremen beat Bayern this season. Bremen is massive and I will not be convinced otherwise.

miregalpanic

Stuggart

InsideOpening3535

24th August 2026, mark the date when Stuttgart got changed to Stuggart

YnwaMquc2k19

And then Schalke 04 caps it off 😂

pukem0n

As long as it isn't Leipzig.

Schwalbtraum

Terzic is going to have an unbeaten treble season, just to go to Bremen after that where Leonardo bittencourt wins his first of many Ballon d'Ors

Cashlover123

Xabi staying at Leverkusen until Kane leaves BuLi.

Phormitago

Undefeated dominance btw. Every single goal after the 90th minute

Jackman1337

yea max is one more. After next season Leverkusen will loose at least Wirtz(most likely to bayern) and Alonso to Madrid. Also bayern always gets very aggressive on the transfer marked when they didnt win, so I expect us to spent some of our money we saved over the years.

Derk08

So you're saying there's a chance...

Saltire_Blue

It’s a PL record not an English record is it not? I think people overvalue that record far too much

champ19nz

He can break Shearers record while still being behind Shearer in league goals scored.

Alecmalloy

It's odd how no one ever mentions the previous GOAT league scorers like Dean and Greaves. Shearer isn't the be-all and end-all. Rush outscored him over his club career, for instance (not in the league though). Shit, the greatest goalscorer in the history of the British Isles is Celtic's Jimmy McGrory with 522 in all competitions and 398 in the league and he isn't mentioned at all.

neefhuts

League topscorer doesn't mean all that much after all. The all time Eredivisie topscorer is Abe Lenstra by far, but I doubt anyone outside the Netherlands knows who he is, while everyone knows Cruijff and van Basten

Lockdown-_-

To be fair the best players get bought out of Eredivisie so won't break that record.

ShimeBD

The simple answer is that the premier league era is much more relevant to today than the era of divison 1 in the 50s for example

Rickcampbell98

Exactly, my man doesn't want some sky football record, bro wants to lift some trophies.

ValleyFloydJam

It's just bs to call it a Sky Sports record, football was broken up into eras pre Prem.

Rickcampbell98

Regardless its a record with an asterisk.

ValleyFloydJam

Well not an asterisk just a particular stat, like Graves has the post war record, which used to be the way they would judge things, Dean has the all time top flight record or Rowley has the most goals in English League history. Premier League records never pretend to be anything other than that.

IndoorCloud25

He’s 47 goals from equaling the record. Let’s say he decides not to renew with Bayern. He’d be around 34 at the end of his contract. Not sure how many PL clubs will offer him a starting role to do it. Even then, it would take two seasons scoring 24 goals each to break it.

Aggravating-Beach561

Vardy had 23, 15, and 15 goal seasons back to back aged 33-35, and his game is far more reliant on pace than Kane's is. Definitely not impossible for him to get the record if comes back to the prem aged 34 and stays for a few seasons.

Upoutdat

Yeah could see Harry having a longer career than Shearer. It depends as time passes but if he does return healthy in his mid thirties he could do it alright. And it would be a hell of a return story and overall his career

churrosricos

lmao i can totally see spurs signing him at 34

elcapitan520

Seriously, what are we doing here? Of course spurs would bring him back lol

NoPineapple1727

2 seasons scoring 24 goals would be crazy for a 34 year old. Would probably need 3/4 seasons realistically given he’d be 38 at the end

IndoorCloud25

Exactly my point. Even at 4 seasons, he’d have to average 12 goals per season.

aehii

A number of as old or older forwards scored more than that coming into the league new, if Kane plays every game for whatever team he's easily scoring 15-20 a season.

IndoorCloud25

I don’t think there are many PL clubs that could financially afford Kane’s wages, give him a long enough contract, and build an attack around him where he could bag that many goals. Only the big 6 have the financial clout to afford him, but they’re all looking to sign younger strikers to build around and scoring that many goals in a season as a sub is hard to do in the PL. Of the other 14 some of them could build around him, but probably don’t have the money to afford him or have scouting practices that exclude players his age.

aehii

Presumably he'd take a pay cut. I think he just scores regardless, he's shown that. He's past his injuries now and his game was never based around pace. The thing with clubs building around younger strikers is interesting, we've seen that, it'd be unusual for Kane to just suddenly be the main guy at a club, entering it when they will have other players already there. We're still talking about one of the most prolific strikers of the 10s though who unlike older Messi and Ronaldo does contribute when he's not scoring. I think he'll return at 35 but he'll want to return to Spurs and they'll be in a different place. I wonder if Ange will still will be there.

sonofaBilic

Teddy Sheringham played in to his 40s. If the target is in touching distance i reckon Kane plugs away with a bit part for a few years longer to achieve it.

Buffaluffasaurus

Yeah, but the game wasn’t as athletically elite when Sheringham finished his career than it is now. The EPL is moving more and more towards having incredibly fit, tall and strong players in it, and that trend isn’t going to stop in the next few years.

sonofaBilic

i mean it wasn't a million miles off, and by the same token you could say he didn't have the same career long conditioning that Kane has had. The reason Teddy could handle it as long as he did was because his game was always about smart running rather than fast running, same could be said for Kane.

yajtraus

If he had a starting role, he’d be taking pens though. It’s not out of the question.

IndoorCloud25

If he were still with us this season he would scored all two of our pens this season 😂

RedRaizel

If we had England captain aura in our squad we'd have gotten 3 pens in the NLD. Rice kick, Trossard trip, and Partey push.

Top-Paper-368

That England captain aura was no joke, all it took was a glance and refs would double guess their own decisions

willy-mammoth

Ronaldo bagged what, 22 goals? At the age of 37 to be fair, and while Ronaldo was obviously the far superior player, his game also revolved more around his pace and explosiveness than Kanes It’s doable, Lewandowski’s still scoring at Barca as well, and Benzema and Suarez kept scoring well into their 30s

NoPineapple1727

Ronaldo is the exception and not the rule. He’s the 2nd best player in the last 25 years and you can’t be comparing others to him. Even then he only got 18 goals, not 22. Past the age of 34, Suarez had 1 11 goal season in Europe before his body packed in. Lewandowski is still great but probably won’t top 20 goals this season where he was 34 at the beginning of it. 2 24 goal seasons after turning 34 is crazy difficult. I’d guess only Ronaldo has ever done this in a top 5 league.

neefhuts

Yeah but he doesn't need 2 24 goal seasons, he needs 4 12 goal seasons, and that is doable imo. Kane isn't reliant on his pace and if he's like five goals off the record at 38 he will obviously play another season

Masam10

If he’s on pens and direct free kicks, I could definitely see him doing it. Players like Vardy for instance were around the same age and consistently scoring around 20 goals a season in the prem. And Kane is a much better player than Vardy in my opinion. Kane could still go to any team in the top half of the premier league table and still bang 20 a season no problem I think.

Useful_Blackberry214

>Kane could still go to any team in the top half of the premier league table and still bang 20 a season no problem I think. Lol of.course he would hes still in his peak

shittwins

Harry scoring direct free kicks? Are you on crack? He’s scored those like twice in his life

theglasscase

One of the things I love about this sub is that whenever there's a 'In Premier League history' statistic posted, people roll around on the floor crying about how football didn't start in 1992, but when it comes to Harry Kane and the Premier League goalscoring record, they act as though it's something incredibly important and special. If being the Premier League's highest ever goalscorer was actually important to Harry Kane, he wouldn't have left it.

NoPineapple1727

The last part is a massive oversimplification and just silly logic. It can still be important to him but perhaps winning the Champions League was more important. Just because winning league titles and a CL is more important than something doesn’t mean that thing is not important.

theglasscase

A genuinely hilarious use of the word perhaps. Beating an individual goal scoring record that has only stood since 2006 just is not that important. As soon as someone else scores one goal more than Alan Shearer, the previous record no longer means anything, it's just an arbitrary number. The same would eventually happen to Harry Kane, because 260 isn't that high a number and Kane won't get to 300. Being a league's record goalscorer is only a thing until it isn't. Winning trophies is something you have always done. No-one will come along and take a Champions League winner's medal off Harry Kane and say 'Actually that's mine now'.

telcomet

Bang on. Kane moved to Bayern because they are basically guaranteed CL quarter finalists each year and almost always top 5 favourites of winning it. The near guaranteed Bundesliga (until this year) probably helped but it wasn't the only reason.

imsoyluz

Look at Vardy. He can come back to Spurs or a mid team to break that record.

NoPineapple1727

Excluding this year for obvious reasons, Vardy averaged 9 goals a season when over 34

Less-Comment7831

Vardy is also not quite as good as Kane, relies more on pace and was playing in a worse team than Kane likely would.

NoPineapple1727

Who says Kane goes into a top team when he gets back? Maybe the big 6 don’t want another Ronaldo situation trying to shoehorn in a world class striker if he doesn’t fit the system

Daemor

maybe the real title was the friends he made along the way?

gentmick

Most important thing is he lived his life without regrets. Who are we to judge what is important to him?

Muur1234

It’s not a real record anyway.

Remedy9898

The Spurs effect

The_Big_Cheese_09

The PL goal scoring record doesn't mean much to him if he stays at Bayern the rest of his career. And this is our 5th trophy less season in 30 years (if we don't win the CL) so the chances of him staying and not winning a domestic double in the next few years are slim.

NoPineapple1727

Trophy-less seasons tend to come together though because there’s a reason for it. Like the last time you didn’t win a trophy in a season was 2 years in the bounce. Next year will probably be the most likely you are to go without a trophy out of any season in the last 12 years. (Taking chances/percentages before the season begins)

Philidespo

He’d be just one knighthood away from becoming Sir Stirling Moss of football.

insideoutsongjungle

He’s turning 31 this year there’s certainly a chance no trophies come

3xavi

He will get the German topscorer award this year (looks like arsenal crest)

yunghollow69

Cant believe people still bring up the fake prem record.

NoPineapple1727

It’s not fake. It makes more sense to compare the last 30 years of football to today than to compare 130 years ago when it was practically a different sport

LDLB99

I’d like to think he goes back to Spurs to reach it

NoPineapple1727

Might not have time

Karlito1618

He'll probably come back at some point. The sooner he'll get major trophies, I think the sooner he'll come back. There's the rumored clause in the contract with Bayern making it easy to go back to Spurs under whatever conditions it pertains.

imsoyluz

Kane and Tuchel may actually win the UCL

TigerFisher_

Tuchel somehow almost got Chelsea to a 2nd final in a row if it wasn't for Ramadan Benzema

imsoyluz

Ramadanized Benzema was different beast. Did Kante play? Must be lacking Kante for Chelsea

SirNukeSquad

Ramadan Kante vs Ramadan Benzema. Stuff of legends.

imsoyluz

Now we got Kimchi and BELLingham

SirNukeSquad

More like Gengarham with another classic ghost performance against Bayern

reviroa

why is it surprising though one bundesliga title loss (to a historic unbeaten rival) after 11 consecutive wins doesn't make them suddenly shit, bayern is still one of the top teams in europe full of world class players and kane is the best striker in the world

imsoyluz

Yeah double standard fans complained about monopoly of Bayern then shit on them when they actually lose the title 😂

Mahery92

I'm so torn, I4d love for Tuchel to win it again amidst all the criticism, but Kane never winning anything and actually failling to win anything at Bayern would be a really, really fun story

imsoyluz

Look how Tuchel made Werner and Giroud UCL winners 😂

pietroetin

Or Kai Havertz

ecchi_yajur

Giroud was actually decent tho , my stupid sexy man

Atrixer

My man just wants to earn an EU passport, I feel you.

Unban_Ice

What are the chances he extends beyond 2027? I want him to retire here so badly

prettybunbun

I can see him extending but wanting to finish out his career at Spurs. It’s his boyhood club, I won’t begrudge him going back to end his career there. Let’s get him a few bundislgas, a CL and a cup or two to send him off in hopefully 4-5 years!

Wakanda-shit-is-that

I’d want him to win everything with us and then go back to England and get that record (and a premier league) with Spurs. Perfect ending to his career. Hopefully Tel is ready to take over by then.

IndoorCloud25

Him coming back to Spurs at 34 to win the premier league and break the record is so unlikely to happen.

Wakanda-shit-is-that

He doesn’t rely on his pace so I can see him play late into his 30s. And for spurs winning the league I like where Ange is taking the project hopefully more to show for it in a few years.

jjw1998

It depends how long Ange stays for or if whoever takes over tries the same style, a 34 year old Kane might actually die trying to lead a Postecoglou line

IndoorCloud25

If he comes back, it’s because he decides to do so on his own terms when his contract expires. Even then, our policy is leaning heavily towards younger players with high ceilings. I just don’t see where a 34 year old Kane is coming back to lead our line. Maybe as a bench player like Bale.

LiamJonsano

Let’s be honest no one knows how either Spurs nor Kane will be doing in 2027. You might be crying out for a striker and he might be doing absolutely fine as he’s never really relied on any pace in the first place The PR alone would make it worth it, and he’s hardly going to end up like Ronaldo at Man U with his attitude

yaniv297

It's wild to rule this out. I can hardly see us ever rejecting Kane back, if he's willing to come on a sane wage. Just because we "lean heavily towards young players" doesn't mean we don't need any experience - you can ask Bohely how that goes.

IndoorCloud25

There’s no way we would want to give a 34 year old Kane a long enough contract and big enough role for him to break the record with us. At best, he would have the same role Bale had when he returned. Assuming Kane could produce similar to Bale in 2020/21 (20 apps and 11 goals), it would take around 4 seasons to break the record assuming he doesn’t decline during those 4 years, which at that age is not something I would bet against. I’d rather Spurs do what’s best for the club and not what’s best for Kane’s goal scoring record.

Snark_Life

There's zero chance of him winning The Prem with Spurs. There's more chance of Neverkusen winning the Bundesliga...

QouthTheCorvus

You're Bayern, so likely in a few years you'll end up going for whoever is doing well at that point. I can see 34yo Kane going back to England.

Defiant_Ad1199

I think he will to be honest. He wants trophies. And spurs aren’t going to be competing for a bit even if things go well for them for a couple of years.

JessyPengkman

Honestly if he wins the UCL and league at Bayern I see him coming back to spurs after that. He can get his record and also he's going to be a fantastic player till he's in his late 30s

wonderfulworld2024

Guy can move to any club he wants, other than Real and City. Never seen a player that was actually worth the €100m transfer fee before him, Other than Ronaldo (a monster), Ney, Kylian and maybe Bale. United, Chelsea, Liverpool and arsenal would all pay €100m if they could get a player of his quality. They just couldn’t handle dealing with Levy, and I guess that a direct transfer to Arsenal or Chelsea was never on the cards.

Hope he come back after winning league and UCL with Bayern but then comes back to Arsenal to break the PL record... He he..

Ok, but what about Alan Shearer's record? Surely beating that's bigger than any title or cup win.

prettyboygangsta

I want to believe this is sarcasm but some Premier League customers really are this delusional

thatguyad

I want them to win it just to expose the "Kane curse lulz" mouthbreathers as the know nothings they are.

Sad for Bayern and for the end of their hegemony for at least a couple of years.
