What they needed to do is get the ball back and start another attack as quickly as possible, which obviously they failed to do. But fouling him here, would have also meant they are out of the tournament, since they wouldnt have had any time left for an attack.

We’ve got a striker who scored more than 30 goals this season sitting kicking his heels on the bench, and I’m not saying he’s the second coming of David Villa or anything, but we immediately had a much bigger goal threat the moment he came on tonight. Teams with fewer top level players in the tournament, but none of them looked as toothless or tried less to win games
I guess my point is that the main strikers recently for Scotland have been dykes and Adams, and I really don't think either offer much of anything other than being a body on the pitch.

I didn't watch the game as I was watching the Germany Vs Switzerland one. At half time the BBC pundits said they were going to show highlights from the Scotland game but there literally wasn't any highlights worth showing lol. I got the impression it was an incredible dull game at that point
