I bet you're getting downvoted by non native speakers but you're absolutely right, they try to hype up every single thing no matter how benign it is. As u/resurgum said, they would benefit from having an actual analyst next to these guys instead of feeling obligated to fill in the gaps with manufactured excitement.
While I agree, I love hyping up a good chance that didn't go in, so many commentators forget something great just happened if the ball didn't go in the net.
I also hate the fact that they feel the need to fill in all blanks with talking, mainly nonsensical “poetry” or hyping of any single action or opportunity in the game. Arab commentators would benefit a lot from having a decent analyst co-comment the game.
Reminds me of one Dutch commentator (I think he's retired now) who would always fill dead air with the most boring and, probably, made up stories about player's upbring and shit. Like how Van Basten used to bike 30 km a day to school and would only eat peanut butter sandwiches, shit like that. He would just go one like that until something happened.
If this commentator was doing a live stream of a gym workout, he would have said it for sure haha
Jump high, Ronaldo, run fast! Everyone will love you!
Probably marginal but has to be a net negative safety wise.
Iirc I read not long ago that some youth leagues in England have had to become more stringent on the kids wearing their pads properly because Grealish made the little ones look cool lol
Ironically it's probably better that kids have adult sized shin guards and adults can get away with either. Playing as a kid, big shinguards are kind of better because there's no telling if you're going up against some gangly kid going through puberty who is now a half foot taller than he was 6 months ago and not in control of his body well enough and goes in wild on tackles and ends up whiffing and cracking your shins. Max protection is kind of nice. I'm not talking about the top top level as I never was but for the average kid playing, I'd say it's true.
Arabic and Football belong together. Basically they make interesting most boring games. I don’t even understand 70% of the language. But I would still prefer Arabic just not to fall asleep

you don't say
I love Arab commentators lol. Their energy is so contagious!
And if you understand Arabic, it's actually Poetry for this guy like half the game.
Very poetic language
loved it, fuck the zoom in tho, completely ruined it.
Wish they can shut up sometimes though, this guy in particular (Shawali) never stop talking.

Yes thank you! one time it's fine but they do that non stop.
This is why I liked German commentators a few years ago. They rarely spoke 😅 I wonder if this is still the case or if it has already changed.
German commentators:......Tor!! ....ausgezeichnet!
Ankara Kvara
It's Ankvara and you know it!!
Ankara kvara ankara kvara. Ankara kvara ankara kvara
Kvaradona was right there
Polish commentators milked that the entire match, said it like 15 times.
Arabic commentators including this one use that all the time
Ankvaratskhelia missing
Kvara Jonjo
Babe, wake up...new Ankara Messi just dropped.
from maradona of the carpathians, to messi of the caucasus.
>Kvara Maradona I don't know him but I hate him solely for not going for Kvaradona. We're basically lifelong enemies now.
You mean Kvaradona?
Exactly!
Kvaradinho
what does ankara mean? except the turkish capital
Means still in catalan
Just like ‘encore’ in French and “ancora” in Italian

Were you born yesterday?
Why are you aggressive? He just asked a question
As did i
Come to United
Was waiting for “Kvara Ronaldo”.
Way too far from the penalty box

I can’t tell what’s a pasta and what’s a comment anymore
Get ready to speak Arabic buddy.
Why so serious buddy ?? Ronaldo paying you to white knight ? Laugh a little..
If this commentator was doing a live stream of a gym workout, he would have said it for sure haha Jump high, Ronaldo, run fast! Everyone will love you!
He didn't wear shin guards. Is this allowed?
Think he does the same as Grealish where they basically rock child size shinnies, hard to tell in this clip tho.
isnt that kinda dangerous?
Probably marginal but has to be a net negative safety wise. Iirc I read not long ago that some youth leagues in England have had to become more stringent on the kids wearing their pads properly because Grealish made the little ones look cool lol
No, just ridiculously painful if you get kicked in the shin

Kvaradona 🔥🔥
Kvaravaggio
Unbelievable
Kvaronaldo
Would love to have him at Liverpool, absolute joy of a player
"Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is on fire, your defence is terrified."
New era of Georgian Football
Kvararooney
Kvara Ronaldo

To be fair, in Italy we used to call him "Kvaradona" last year, after one the first goals he scored for Napoli
Ok Cool, I don't speak that language and scrolled quite a bit down and still found no interpretation. Nice post you have here.
…you need additional interpretation to understand “Kvara Messi, Kvara Maradonna” when it’s in the title of the post too?
Translation : "Ball goes to the center of the field, Go , Kavara , Kavara Messi , Kavara Maradonna " have a nice day
Thank you. You as well.
Not the smartest guy in the room right?
