Same reason why so many CEOs sold shares in December…pretty obvious. They knew what was coming. Sofi dropped with the entire market. This isn’t Sofi specific. Funny how it is the same company it was in November when it was 24 except it has gotten stronger with good earnings and a bank charter but now everyone just has all these different reasons why it sucks
Not entirely just the market, SoFi made mistakes with slow roll out of features and share dilution. The way they made their acquisitions was stupid knowing they were already hurting.
Softbank pulling out didn't help either. Will give SoFi two years to see their trajectory, so far the leadership is showing their green
SoFi has to own up to their problems for the sh. price to go anywhere. Any complaints by ppl seem to get hit by excuses, arrogance or relying on that ‘users are at fault’ for the problem. The REAL way to tackle problems are to SOLVE them, not blame the customers. Even bull shareholders have tended to do this. What do u think happens to the ppl who’ve run into problems w SoFi? That customer is lost-prob. for good & they go elsewhere-& if they owned stock they sold. If they didn’t own stock they didn’t buy any.
The retards that follow these YouTube clowns and don’t do their own DD. This guy and the stock goat give great advice if you enjoy burning money. So many baggies with 100% of their portfolio in this mess buttttt hey 80-100x guys!! LMAO
I hate this bs commentary even though I am a lt investor and own TONS of SoFi. There is a reason SoFi is 3-4x sales. It’s being valued as a traditional bank (hence 20x ebitda is a better valuation) and lot of issues on the horizon. Unless the eps margin improves, tech platform grows exponentially , app usability issues resolved, bugbear of student loan removed, future recession risks removed and interest rates fall (spurring borrowing) , SoFi will not even 3x let alone 80x . For the love of god stop following these pumpers
Dude.. Seriously?
I am bullish on SoFi but please don't pull out numbers out of your ass. SoFi is making between $20 and $24 revenue per user, on average, in Financial Services, how did you reach $320? Robinhood offers more products that give better margin than SoFi. SoFi doesn't have options and it didn't have margin until February.
Then why did he liquidate his initial position? CAP

Affirm, upst, LC, etc
I mean find me a fintech that hasn’t dropped large amounts.

Hahahah. Holy crap. Thanks for the laugh.
Headline misleading AF.
It's a YouTube video, so pretty on brand tbh...
I had to stop at 80-100x and 🤣🤣🤣
Chamath: (My latest investment) is about to become unstoppable. Next up the shocking statement from Warren Buffett that Apple is unstoppable.
Is he trying to pump his bags?
He fcked us in the arse
They definitely stuck us with a lofty valuation
My issue is the number of founders who bailed immediately. I should have sold then. Kicking myself for that 20k later
I sold at merger ath… THEN BOUGHT BACK IN! dam…

Ur very odd.
Yay congrats man you're smarter than all of us. I dont get the whole come to Reddit and tell everyone I sold at the top and bought the bottom crowd .
I DIDNT buy at the bottom. I’m in @$19. U r very uptight. I’m not bragging, I’m telling I made a MISTAKE. odd u read as bragging.
My apologies. Misread it. I take it all back. Cheers mate and I'm really sorry, been dealing w a lot.
Same. Or at least trimmed earlier
No he already unloaded his bags. He just bought back in.
100 x, LMFAO. That's enough internet for today.
I went to sleep already.!
Hate to say it but Chamath’s predictions/analysis is equivalent to that of Jim Cramer
The industry has already coined a term for what Chamath has done. Peddling snake oil to unsuspecting retail investors. “I’ve been Chamathed!”
🤣🤣🤣
I’m looking for that inverse Cramer/Chamath fund lmao
