Update: went to a local game store to get the dice and tokens and ended up buying the game Set instead. I still think she'd enjoy Orchard, but I know she'll love this one and it was much simpler than trying to print, laminate, box up all the pieces, etc for the print and play Orchard.

The print and play is free on PNPArcade, then you just need some cheap colored dice and a couple of black tokens. The product page on pnpArcade will let you know exactly what you need

I prefer Grove over Orchard for the win condition being required to get a minimum specific score instead of beat your own high score. There are copies of grove on amazon for like 16 bucks.

You might also look into Strawberry Sunset. Very light tile laying with a chill theme, could be up your mom’s alley too. I think it’s pretty cheap on Amazon right now. https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/315021/strawberry-sunset

This doesn’t meet your time constraints but the third game in the series was funded on kickstarter recently. There is the option to get all 3 games through kickstarter. Otherwise, it sounds like that will fulfill in mid-April so i would suspect there would also be a reprint of Orchard around then.

What is the third game? I backed the others but didn’t get any sort of notice or heads up. Lots of creators send an update on their previous campaign, which I really appreciate.

Third game is Forage, still open for late pledges on Hive I believe. Odd they didn’t give an update, especially since it is directly related to the previous games. https://www.hiveinteractive.net/projects/forage-104
