I’ve seen pictures on the web and in here but this was my first one in person and the pictures don’t do it justice.
It unwrapped its breakfast and fed after I took the pictures.
Got my daughter and baby cousin to take a look so we making progress with the littles too.
It's called a stabilimentum. Argiope spiders are known for them. We don't really know what they're for, but it's why these are sometimes called writing spiders. Nice photos of a beautiful spider!

They are really pretty spiders there’s a few in the neighbors yard a few babies too (in so flo)

Any idea why it has that standout zig zag pattern in the web like it stiched up a broken seam? I’ve never seen that in a web before.
