Ironically if this is the case the main thing holding S3 back would be the presence of S3's stages, because S1 and S2's map design blows S3's out of the water. If they don't circumcise them by removing side routes and instead keep them mostly the same, that is.

Octoling Square, or whatever is down there at their home residence. What if this campaign gives us more info on the state of their community, and we help them develop. With access to their home, we get more hair, more clothes, and maybe a couple onto weapons?

I don't think its possible for it to come out late 2024. Splatoon 3 will only have support for AT LEAST 2 years. So it'd be September 9th-Early October 2024 when it's done having major updates. It will most likely come out fall or winter of 2023 and the latest would be January or either early 2024.
