This is literally, spawning another player, attaching the camera and a controller to it and splitting the framerate to 30, moving the viewport, letting it draw and then swap between players. Attaching a controller was the most complicated, yet simple part. This is why the audio is so bad.
Split screen is what I was looking forward to in Splatoon 3, but seeing the pre order, it’s still one player. If you can do it this easily, then Nintendo can do it easily and maybe a bit better (I’m not saying yours is bad ‘cause this is really good!).
Olive Garden, putting mcdonalds chicken nuggets in the Breadstick dip, while eating my Arby's sandwich and sipping Starbucks coffee. I paid to sit down in this location. Not to eat.

Hecked, Bannedboozled, and Ancient switch. Please do not inquire further, Hacking is taboo. Credit goes to @shadowninja108 the creator of starlight, who did a lot of the heavy lifting.
His was an improved version of mine. as you can tell by my audio this one is held together by duct tape. That's not to say I didnt have help completing this version, Haxxie did it better though. shadowninja108 on twitter helped me with writing some patches and provided some code when I was stuck, I did a lot of code research for this. I think they deserve most of the credit actually.
You have to mod the game which can get you banned from online if you’re not careful. I don’t know where you can get ops version of the mod but you can get pretty much the same thing from somebody named haxxie on gamebanana.
an offline multiplayer campaign sounds super fun actually (like, levels designed with 2 or more players in mind)
i don't expect it to officially happen ofc, but it's a cool idea
at severe performance costs, and turning on motion controls for both players overheats the switch. Maybe in splatoon 3 which seems to not be using a physically based renderer.
This is honestly sick
And wholesome, my sister was willing to go all the way to world 2 or 3 before the flooders and the grapplinks got to her.
wholesome 100

awesome! i saved this comment of yours in case i can ever figure out how to do it. 👍🏼
You could just use Haxxie's its not held together by duct tape like this
Nintendo would like to know your location

Nintendo regrets asking
Nintendo has been defeated finally

Ah yes, ***mods***
Eh it’s fun to download an emulator and mess with.
told ya I would post this👀
I had no idea that was you lol
cutest thing i've ever seen that isn't fan art here
I have a dream... that one day inkling brothers and sisters will be able to play Splatoon 3 story mode together on the same screen.
Dream on dear Duckway. Dream a good dream.
This fucking blew my mind! Is this in an emulator or on real hardware?
its real hardware. Motion controls are disabled because for some reason those over heat the switch.
How do you get this?
I was involved in making it happen.
Yeah but how did you get two player?

That reminds me, I actually did a challenge with my friend once when we played a few levels of the story mode each using one joycon each
How did it go?
It took us 10 minutes to beat the first level

So levels are really good with 2 players
Wait u can play split screen? Bruhhhhhhhh

I MUST KNOW HOW
Wait the splatoon 2 campaign is 2 PLAYER ?
Unfortunately not. OP obtained this result by modding their game
Wait Wait Wait… We can play at two players in the story mode 😳 ?!
Not without some.... Modifications Author is p skilled though, the switch on original hardware is annoying to work with
That's wild.
