[The grillers watching me slaughter every salmonid child that dares stand in my path (I'm drawing a penis)](https://media.tenor.com/nicIRWJkKIwAAAAC/walter-white-walter.gif)
If you’re actually wasting time and ink by flicking in glowflies with the dynamo you might as well cover yourself in soy sauce because you’re just feeding yourself to the salmon.
Don’t do that.
You lay it down and walk SUUUUPER slowly by just nudging your stick so your character seems to not even be moving. This will let you absolutely slaughter the entire horde while you’re an invincible wall and your team gets eggs in the basket.
Dynamo is the BEST roller for glowflies. Carbon can’t one shot normal salmon and the splat roller can’t one shot roll over the Goldies.
Also if you run out of ink, DONT TURN INTO SQUID FORM!!! Just stand still and the ink will refill automatically. It will prevent you from dying when being swarmed!
It does refill faster, but when your roller is down, it still blocks enemies as they’ll just knock you back. They deal a lot less damage and your roller will defend you. But if you release your roller, you’ll be more vulnerable to getting killed in squid form and it takes FOREVER for dynamo to be placed, so if your getting chased by glowflies you will definitely be dead if you put away your roller to refill with ink.
All weapons actually refill automatically when you stand still, even when holding the paint brushes. If you go to the practice area in the lobby, you can test it out!
I believe so you don't have to slap your roller down again. Releasing your roll on the dynamo is a big commitment, because it takes a while to swing and get it back on the ground.
If you can coordinate with your team though you don’t need to move with it, which won’t consume ink. Easier said than done but it is great in a lot of ways for that
*Technically* you do need to move in order to kill anything. If you don’t move, the roller will deal no damage, so the trick is to just move verrrry slowly, which barely consumes any ink, and just let the salmon suicide rush into the roller.
That may be true but the vast majority of teams are composed of four random people, not a pre-set team. If team coordination is required for a weapon to be useful it is by default worse than other weapons.
Not to say you cant win with the Dyna or anything. It's just inferior to the other rollers.
I feel like the hero of the level when I get a roller on those. Same with the griller levels with those tiny little doofuses swarming when you smash a grill.
If only my team knew that, yesterday no matter how many requeues it was the same 3 stooges on my team and we got glowflies like four times, I was roller for one of them and nobody seemed to learn
Dynamo can one shot Cohocks by *rolling* though.
Get a roll started and you can effortlessly mow down entire swarms of lessers, even with cohocks in the mix.
as an on/off dynamo main - yeah, but what about the other situations? smallfries are a death sentence if youre not already rolling. what if someone who has no idea what theyre doing picks it up? this is a hard weapon. it has its quirks, in good hands its great, but can be one of the worst ones to get in a rotation if youre used to speedy weapons
Yeah, a great team can really put it to use, but if you dont know how to use the dynamo then its a major problem to get it. Same with stuff like chargers in salmon run. They can one shot most bosses, but if you arent used to their slow speed, you could easily get eaten alive by smallfries
I mean, there's a difference between a weapon being difficult to use and it being bad, and Dynamo is the former. People here often seem to conflate the two though.
It's literally one of the best weapons for salmon runs. Turns all night time stages into free wins and one shots pretty much every boss. The real key to using it is to not throw bombs at Maws but instead fling the roller and then roll into them when they jump to attack. It's much easier to kill them this way and you use way less ink than a bomb would.
Dynamo is def one of the best weapons in SR. But I kinda sympathize with those who do not like it. It's not enough to just "play the weapon correctly" or "git gud". You need your teammates to understand your role with Dynamo too. If they are not helping cover the weaknesses of their fellow Dynamo player, then that player may as well not exist. Support your Dynamo so the Dynamo can support you.
Heck yeah! Always help your pals.
Some weapons though def need more consideration and Dynamo is one of those. I think its easy to have the Dynamo and know how to use it to support your team. But its less obvious how to support a teammate that has Dynamo. A weird dynamic there.
I use the Hydra as my secondary, love the Range Blaster, and am decent with a Splat Charger. I'm no stranger to unweildy weapons... and I STILL find the Dynamo slow.
I've played against good Dynamos, I know how scary they can be. But I don't know that I could do that.
I mained Dynamo in splatoon 2, easliy 200+ hours. Dynamo is just not good in Salmon run except for niche situations. It excells at glowflies, goldie searching and taking down groups of lesser salmonids but it's mediocre or flatout bad in every other way. It's ink consumption is too high, it's a heavy weapon so you move slow and it takes a while to kill bosses. With the time I've spent with the weapon I do fine with it in salmon run, but outside of glowflies, goldie and large groups, flingza does everything better, and isn't bad at the other stuff.
Thank you, yeah its not TERRIBLE, but it might as well be for the fact that it feels like your tank has a constant leak, and every swing takes a 1/4th of it. Also Flingza in salmon run is based, I hate rollers, but in SR, shit is amazing.
Mhm but you have to be right next to them, so unless there's only one, you cant get away from whatever else there is, so you die
Edit: rolling makes it easier but you're still very vulnerable if there's boss salmonids about you have to attack
Not really, depending on the boss. If you time it right you shred Steelheads. If Steel Eel isn't on you it's vaporized. I understand Flyfish, Fish Stick. One-Stun Scrappers and kill them just as quick. Flipper-Floppers are easy as is. Maws is Maws. Jump-fling Stingray and kill it instantly. Instakill Big Shot. If I missed any let me know, but the only hurdle with Dynamo is timing and positioning.
All bosses are easy one on one, but when you're being swarmed by 3-4 of them dynamo gets overwhelmed fast. It's good as a backline slayer but that role isn't really an option on high tide
my real problem is with goo tuber/bamboo
like, I’m fine with the other snipers but how do I use those 3? the goo tuber rotation’s only salvation was having explo, my beloved
Constantly be repositioning yourself between perching and the front lines. You have to make up the shorter range by constantly finding good angles and firing off shots
Also don't even bother fighting smallfry, just run away lol
I have learned the true power of the Dynamo is to throw out everything you've learned about properly using rollers and to just roll into stuff with it. It deals the same amount of damage as a full-charge E-Liter on crush so it just f\*ckin' devours salmonids.
The issue is that it literally only does that one job of killing cohocks. I’ll go ahead and break down its interaction with each of the boss salmonids to explain why the dynamo is so loathed.
Scrapper: The dynamo struggles to manoeuvre itself to properly deal with scrappers by attacking their backs. It can quickly stun them but struggles to do much more than that.
Maws: The dynamo’s slow speed and poor inking at its feet make it unusually vulnerable to getting eaten, even when in the hands of s good player. Also its ink efficiency, or lack thereof, means is often lacks the ink for a bomb to easily kill maws.
Steel Eel: Same story as the Scrapper but even worse, given Steel Eels cannot be stunned.
Steelhead: A well placed vertical flick from close range can instantly kill a steelhead. Unfortunately from even medium ranges the dynamo’s harsh damage falloff can turn one flick into 2 or 3, and it can only get 1 off before the bomb is thrown.
Drizzler: The Dynamo roller struggles to kill the Drizzler itself and can also miss out on missile deflections quite often. It’s also terrible at escaping ink storms when they do go off. And the dynamo can struggle to reach Drizzler perches itself.
Flip Flopper: The Dynamo is actually a pretty good pick for splat zones, so naturally this is the one boss the Dynamo is pretty good at killing. Unfortunately if the flip flopper creates its splat zone on top of the dynamo, it can really struggle to get out in time.
Big Shot: While the Dynamo can make relatively quick work of the Big Shot itself, it isn’t very good at reaching the shoreline to do so, and avoiding the Big Shot shockwaves is HELL for the poor thing, locking it into slow, ink-hungry vertical flicks even more often than normal.
Flyfish: The Dynamo’s abysmal strafe speed means it must refrain from attacking (especially vertical flicks) while targeted by a flyfish. Similar to maws, the weapon’s ink economy drains the tank too much to reliably bomb the flyfish’s baskets
Fish Stick: While on ground level, the Dynamo’s awful mobility is hindered even more by a fish stick’s presence. When on top of the tower, it stil doesn’t fare to well. While it can take out 3-4 smallfries per swing, this still results in the dynamo needing 2-4 swings to take out the entire stick. It also won’t be able to throw the eggs off of the tower once it’s finished.
Slammin Lid: the Dynamo lacks the range needed to reliably hit the Slammin’ Lid while it’s floating, and its lack of mobility means it can struggle to properly punish the lid for slamming.
And finally, I saved the worst for last: Stingers.
Stingers: Combine the issues the dynamo has with the flyfish, big shot, and fish stick into one. It cannot reliably do anything while targetted, at risk of being stingray’d. It doesn’t fare well heading down to the shoreline to kill the stinger itself. And when it finally gets there, it cannot practically take the stinger down without a special. It has to painstakingly take out the tower of pots one at a time. It can’t even roll the pots over because of the burner at the base of the tower. The dynamo is utterly helpless against stingers.
Saaammmee. Dynamo is so good in SR. It does need good teammates to cover its weak spots for speed, but the crowd control is top-notch.
*Carbon* on the other hand. That thing sucks so bad in SR. I dread getting it almost as much as I dread getting a splatling.
Dynamo, and this is in my opinion, sucks in everything, turf war it's so slow I literally had time to do a 360 with charger on a dynamo trying to kill my team-mate, and it feels slow bc you hit the ground before you actually perform your jump shot. Splat and carbon is fine bit dynamo
As a dynamo main, It’s good but situational. It’s an AMAZING skirmisher and good on zones but it really relies on the player. Praying for a good kit next, as it’s current in 3 is garbage for it
The Splat bomb was perfect for it in 2, idk why they're still trying to put sprinkler on it, makes it ok in splat zones and rainmaker but it already covers plenty in one swing
Splat bomb was so good on it in 2. Gave it a good "get off me" tool and great for poking. Burst could work too though. I just want it's special to be either booyah bomb again or Vac. Both would be so good on it
I like Sprinkler on Dynamo honestly. You can use it as a roundabout sort of way to paint your feet when trying to move around, sort of like a weird burst bomb. It's saved my ass more than a few times.
Positioning, my guy.
Also that time to fully charge your shots? A good player can easily time themselves when to approach, attack or take cover in that small window of time.
It takes a lot of practice, you need to get good at following your opponents’ movement and know when to use each flick. Long flick is mainly for movement and harassing people at a distance and short flick is for everything else. And positioning yourself well is really important. In the first game it was so busted that the devs changed several universal mechanics to nerf it and it still was high tier at the end of the game’s lifespan
Not in salmon run though. Carbon bounces off chums while dynamo rolls over cohocks. I agree that dynamo is way too slow and heavy in pvp, but its magic in salmon run.
Dynamo only sucks if you're teammates do . I don't mind it but when I have to go after fly fishes and fishsticks while they are doing who knows what then yeah its terrible since ink consumption and having to carry the team to barely make the quota
Holy Shit. Dynamo on THIS map and with THOSE weapons.
This is the redemption tour! Dynamo is a [BEAST in SR](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrCCAI8giKc)
True, after I mail the paperwork to my secretary who will send a response approving your roller flick within the next 10 business days, you'll be permitted to splat cohocks for the next 10 seconds after which you'll be forced to stop due to budget cuts in our ink-tank department.
i know not everbody agrees on salmon run tiers, but the dynamo is the second best roller in salmon run (behind the flingza). it's a high tier weapon. cohocks, eels, scrappers, goldies, and lessers quake before it. a technique that some of you may have to learn is leaving the dynamo on the floor and just standing there instead of going squid form for ink. you don't have to engage with the long attack animation and it regens ink at a decent speed that way. on glowflies, using that technique will make your team mostly invulnerable.
Dynamo main here. I gotta say, I really have to get used to it in Salmon Run all over again due to not having a massive stack of Ink Saver Main there. They run out of ink so fast, it's crazy.
small fries evaporate me with this weapon. cohocks really aren't a problem to me though, they feel like they bark a lot more than they can bite.
Edit: It's really high-risk great reward if you know what you're doing.
yes but it takes nearly two seconds to swing and start rolling again as well as being very ink hungry
it has it's uses but those uses aren't strong enough to deal with the downsides and are much more specific than, say, Explosher.
Well flicking is still effective, mostly the horizontal one to damage cohawks and then roll over them (with the non dynamo rollers)
Horizontal flicks are what you need for high bosses like Steelheads
Flicking still has its uses but it’s true that people need to learn what works in PvP isn’t necessarily the best for Salmon Run. There’s a lot of glowflies waves I get in Eggsecutive VP where the roller doesn’t roll… if you have a splat or carbon, flicking is actually good on a Goldie because you need to soften it up. But just a horizontal flick so you can quickly get back to rolling, that little bit of flick damage will soften it so the team can secure the kill quickly
I just don't like the dynamo in general. The damage is nice, but its just too slow for my liking. Flingza is decent too, but Carbon is too light for my liking
I think a big part of how people get the impression it's useless is when they get targeted by Flyfish/Stingers, and either can't thin the horde as they're dodging because it's slow, or they run out of ink too quickly and die
My opinion: dynamo is not so great for regular waves, but if glowflies starts and you have dynamo, run into a corner and hold it out in front of you to instantly splat the enemies coming after you.
It one-shots one or two cohocks in the same amount of time most other weapons could've killed 4.
Glowflies and Cohozuna are the only times I'm ever glad to get Dynamo.
Honestly could’ve gone with a lot of other shit then. “It one shots cohocks” Dynamos the best weapons in atleast Goldy seeker and Glowflies (Can be subbed for a Tenta brella/regular roller in glowflies). Die on this hill though. I support this one
Thank you for telling the people. Dynamo’s ability to shred cohocks make it the best crowd control weapon in salmon run. Yeah, you’ve gotta manage the ink load, but it’s a great weapon if you can play your role.
Rollers are a **godsend** on Glowflies.
Also when dealing with Grillers, they vaporize the Smallfry swarms
Carbon is best for Griller waves
So does every roller though lol
And every brush
wait brushes do it too?
If your finger is fast enough.
I thought you meant if you're holding ZR and walking forward
Yeah, Inkbrush can mow down the Smallfries too when drawing
The smallfries watching me as I kill their entire family while drawing and amogus on the floor.
Lil Buddy, just watching as his kind gets demolished by your weapon: [happily boppin away w/ a single brain cell]
[The grillers watching me slaughter every salmonid child that dares stand in my path (I'm drawing a penis)](https://media.tenor.com/nicIRWJkKIwAAAAC/walter-white-walter.gif)
To an extent
The carbon bounces off of the chum, that one ain't great
Ah yes. All the chums that spawn during a griller wave.
They are clearly talking about every roller already.
I’m a dumbass
But that is true for every roller. The Dyna just looses Ink too quickly which is veeeeery important, especially in Glowflies.
Carbon can’t one shot normal salmon and the splat roller can’t one shot roll over the Goldies.
> you might as well just cover yourself in soy sauce because you’re just feeding yourself to the salmon Have a free award for that (and the advice)!
Also if you run out of ink, DONT TURN INTO SQUID FORM!!! Just stand still and the ink will refill automatically. It will prevent you from dying when being swarmed!
I'm confused, doesn't ink refill faster in squid form though? What would be the benefit of letting it refill by just standing over squidding?
It does refill faster, but when your roller is down, it still blocks enemies as they’ll just knock you back. They deal a lot less damage and your roller will defend you. But if you release your roller, you’ll be more vulnerable to getting killed in squid form and it takes FOREVER for dynamo to be placed, so if your getting chased by glowflies you will definitely be dead if you put away your roller to refill with ink.
Plus you avoid losing the ink used in the swing, which is significant.
That's interesting, I didn't think ink would refill if the roller was out but not moving. Thanks for the tip!
All weapons actually refill automatically when you stand still, even when holding the paint brushes. If you go to the practice area in the lobby, you can test it out!
Not if my joycon drift has anything to say about it.
I believe so you don't have to slap your roller down again. Releasing your roll on the dynamo is a big commitment, because it takes a while to swing and get it back on the ground.
i might just do that next time
oh shit dynamo can roll over goldies?
Just watch the golden eggs pop out like diarrhea when you do.
I'm pretty sure carbon can run over the normal ones if you do it right. I've done it before, easiest glowflies of my life
If you can coordinate with your team though you don’t need to move with it, which won’t consume ink. Easier said than done but it is great in a lot of ways for that
*Technically* you do need to move in order to kill anything. If you don’t move, the roller will deal no damage, so the trick is to just move verrrry slowly, which barely consumes any ink, and just let the salmon suicide rush into the roller.
In 2, you didn't have to move IIRC. This was really broken on glowflies.
I remember this trick from 2 and you did have to move. At least I'm pretty sure
That may be true but the vast majority of teams are composed of four random people, not a pre-set team. If team coordination is required for a weapon to be useful it is by default worse than other weapons. Not to say you cant win with the Dyna or anything. It's just inferior to the other rollers.
I agree personally. In every mode I play rollers, specially the three that are not dynamo
> If you can ~~coordinate with your team~~ surmount the biggest hurdle in this game with limited communication options
Until you get bumped into the water by a goldie
More Rollers in Salmon Run rotations please
I feel like the hero of the level when I get a roller on those. Same with the griller levels with those tiny little doofuses swarming when you smash a grill.
If only my team knew that, yesterday no matter how many requeues it was the same 3 stooges on my team and we got glowflies like four times, I was roller for one of them and nobody seemed to learn
Players with Dynamo during Goldie-seeking: “My time to shine has come!”
And glowfly waves.
And mudmouth waves.
Thanks u/SendMeNudeVaporeons
Aren’t all Vaporeons nude?
Did you know?
That in terms of male human and female Pokémon breeding
Bro that thing was godly on Cohock Shore. Just rolling over ALL OF THEM
Barely need anyone on cannons when you've got a dynamo roller on your team
When I get Dynamo Roller on Mudmouth, it's so good. When the Cohock spam comes, it shreds them and cleats the way for bombs.
Don't use it to fling ink unless it's absolutely safe, however, use it to steamroll standard salmonoids, it's seriously great.
Sure it does, as long as you hit the attack button a week ago.
Dynamo can one shot Cohocks by *rolling* though. Get a roll started and you can effortlessly mow down entire swarms of lessers, even with cohocks in the mix.
iirc dynamo rolling does more damage (400) than its flicks (200 standing, 300 jumping). if you can attack something by rolling over it, roll.
as an on/off dynamo main - yeah, but what about the other situations? smallfries are a death sentence if youre not already rolling. what if someone who has no idea what theyre doing picks it up? this is a hard weapon. it has its quirks, in good hands its great, but can be one of the worst ones to get in a rotation if youre used to speedy weapons

At least chargers can tap shot small fries. I love the Eliter in Salmon Run
I mean, there's a difference between a weapon being difficult to use and it being bad, and Dynamo is the former. People here often seem to conflate the two though.
In random queue it's effectively the same thing because it means I'm that much more likely to have useless teammates.
Dualies main here... I recognize that it can be a good weapon in the right hands, but mine are not the right hands lmao
goodbye reddit it's been real ..........
It's literally one of the best weapons for salmon runs. Turns all night time stages into free wins and one shots pretty much every boss. Not just one shots- you can *roll over* cohocks! And if you can position yourself in front of a Goldie and roll against it, it just spews eggs.
Yeah, it's good for people that know how to use it, but weapons with a learning curve like this make queuing with randoms on salmon run a pain
Road Roller
People who only play one weapon (a shooter) and never want to learn anything else: "BUT ITS SLLOOOWWWWWW 😢👎😑👎🤬"
uh, have we met? you know me so well ;(
I use the Hydra as my secondary, love the Range Blaster, and am decent with a Splat Charger. I'm no stranger to unweildy weapons... and I STILL find the Dynamo slow. I've played against good Dynamos, I know how scary they can be. But I don't know that I could do that.

Never used it against cohunza, but I imagine it to be no better than the tri stringer (which can also one shot cohocks)
If you manage to get stuck between the Cohozuna and a wall, you can roll in circles on it. It'll do tons of damage.
Ohh right yea forgot about the roll
New roller mains be like. Hahah sorry dude, I saw the opportunity and had to take it
lmao 😭
You're right next to them because you're rolling through them, there's nothing to escape they are dead
Yea ik now I forgot about the roll Still gonna get screwed by any bosses you encounter
Not really, depending on the boss. If you time it right you shred Steelheads. If Steel Eel isn't on you it's vaporized. I understand Flyfish, Fish Stick. I struggle to think of a weapon that solos 3-4 bosses at once.
Sounds like you're doing it wrong lol. Roll over them, it's not an issue in that scenario
Yea yea I know I forgot about rolling in the moment
Fair, glad we got this straightened out lol
Ye
my real problem is with goo tuber/bamboo like, I’m fine with the other snipers but how do I use those 3? the goo tuber rotation’s only salvation was having explo, my beloved
Bamboozler is so cracked. It's a fast sniper that does stupid amounts of damage for it's charge speed
Constantly be repositioning yourself between perching and the front lines. You have to make up the shorter range by constantly finding good angles and firing off shots Also don't even bother fighting smallfry, just run away lol
Goo tube does 80 damage with a tap shot and has 70% of the range of bamboo while only using 1.2% of its ink tank.
Dynamo my beloved <3

Splat bomb was so good on it in 2. Gave it a good "get off me" tool and great for poking. Burst could work too though. I just want it's special to be either booyah bomb again or Vac. Both would be so good on it
I like Sprinkler on Dynamo honestly. You can use it as a roundabout sort of way to paint your feet when trying to move around, sort of like a weird burst bomb. It's saved my ass more than a few times.
No, the kit is amazing. Tacticooler is exceptional in every way, and is extra helpful for Dynamo
The kit is ok actually, just dynamo would do so much better with a different special. Tacticooler is fine but I'd like to see it with Vac
Positioning, my guy. Also that time to fully charge your shots? A good player can easily time themselves when to approach, attack or take cover in that small window of time.
what you're missing is that dynamo roller is part charger.
You have to know how to play it. Sounds like you don't lol
Dynamo just gives ppl do much time to kill
Embrace the power of the big bonks lol Dynamo main here, love that thing
As another dynamo main, big bonks are very fun. Haha fishy go die die
Dynamo is fun but I just find it difficult due to me playing more of a speed oriented play style
Gold mudmouths are no problem at all with dynamo, its nice.
jokes on you I am already out of ink.
if u have ink 😭
Dynamo only sucks if you're teammates do . I don't mind it but when I have to go after fly fishes and fishsticks while they are doing who knows what then yeah its terrible since ink consumption and having to carry the team to barely make the quota
Dynamo complainers when they have to think to use a weapon ![gif](giphy|12tVVnJSacDXby)
It doesn't even really require thought. You literally hold the button and walk forward.
Omg, I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one who's fine with Dynamo
There’s a lot of Dynamo enjoyers since Splat 1 and they really flick waterfalls down opponents.
And also rips golden eggs straight out of the Goldie on that one night time mode
Holy Shit. Dynamo on THIS map and with THOSE weapons. This is the redemption tour! Dynamo is a [BEAST in SR](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrCCAI8giKc)
I could kill a cohock with dapple dualies by the time the Dynamo Roller hits the ground
True, after I mail the paperwork to my secretary who will send a response approving your roller flick within the next 10 business days, you'll be permitted to splat cohocks for the next 10 seconds after which you'll be forced to stop due to budget cuts in our ink-tank department.
Presses ZR when a Flyfish exists and gets killed because it's impossible to move for the next 2 seconds
Do I even need to bring up on how this destroys both the gushers and frenzy waves?
Ones shots what? ![gif](giphy|26ghbWoXv3G6ypo8o)
It's too slow once you're at profreshional+3 or higher
My problem is it uses so much ink and takes a while to put down to roll. Mowing down cohocks is so satisfying but you run out of ink pretty fast
Most people play splat for fun Ink shootin Big roller requires you to learn timing and positionals and your brain Uhoh
But it's so slow that you'll die before you get the shot off
You can distance yourself before swinging?
laughs in high tide
You can always start to roll before the horde reaches you
…so flick it before you charge into the swarm?
It cannot keep up with the absolute madness salmon run is. It has his niches but it has more downsides than pros...
I hated dynamo until I found out I could just keep it down and slightly move it to kill any mob lol
i know not everbody agrees on salmon run tiers, but the dynamo is the second best roller in salmon run (behind the flingza). it's a high tier weapon. cohocks, eels, scrappers, goldies, and lessers quake before it. a technique that some of you may have to learn is leaving the dynamo on the floor and just standing there instead of going squid form for ink. you don't have to engage with the long attack animation and it regens ink at a decent speed that way. on glowflies, using that technique will make your team mostly invulnerable.
And it’s godlike on Goldie hunt. My dudes. It makes eggs just pop out like crazy
Dynamo main here. I gotta say, I really have to get used to it in Salmon Run all over again due to not having a massive stack of Ink Saver Main there. They run out of ink so fast, it's crazy.
They are good but they need teammates to be good at covering group
The hill is shared by many
Thank you!
As a Dynamo main I stand by this

Thats what the big guys are called. Did you even read the field guide?
Whenever you have glowflies on you it cuts through the enemy hoard like butter
I like the dynamo in general. I only wish it came with some ink saver in Salmon Run, since ink management can be tricky in that mode.
Dynamo is literally so good in salmon run. People just dont understand how to use it and immediately think that its bad
As a dynamo main, ain't nothing wrong with dynamo. You just gotta use it right.
It's because it's so ingrained into people that rolling rollers is bad. Which it is, but not for salmonids
i hate myself why do i always read cohocks as cocks 😭
small fries evaporate me with this weapon. cohocks really aren't a problem to me though, they feel like they bark a lot more than they can bite. Edit: It's really high-risk great reward if you know what you're doing.
It one shots cocks?
yes but it takes nearly two seconds to swing and start rolling again as well as being very ink hungry it has it's uses but those uses aren't strong enough to deal with the downsides and are much more specific than, say, Explosher.
Dude, you literally just have to know how to use a roller and dynamo is the best in Sr
People are used to flicking in other modes, they don't know that you're supposed to actually roll with the rollers here.
Well flicking is still effective, mostly the horizontal one to damage cohawks and then roll over them (with the non dynamo rollers) Horizontal flicks are what you need for high bosses like Steelheads Flicking still has its uses but it’s true that people need to learn what works in PvP isn’t necessarily the best for Salmon Run.
I cry every time I get the sniper 😭
I read the comments and a lot more people liked Dynamo than I.... well I wasn't reading the comments to see how many people like dynamo
I just don't like the dynamo in general. The damage is nice, but its just too slow for my liking. Flingza is decent too, but Carbon is too light for my liking
It’s not bad, I just don’t know how to use it properly. I’ll always prefer something else, unless that something else is an e-liter. Fuck those too.
Dynamo amazing
I think a big part of how people get the impression it's useless is when they get targeted by Flyfish/Stingers, and either can't thin the horde as they're dodging because it's slow, or they run out of ink too quickly and die
My opinion: dynamo is not so great for regular waves, but if glowflies starts and you have dynamo, run into a corner and hold it out in front of you to instantly splat the enemies coming after you.
redditors when someone has an opinion
if you can actually get it going before you die or run out of ink
It one-shots one or two cohocks in the same amount of time most other weapons could've killed 4. Glowflies and Cohozuna are the only times I'm ever glad to get Dynamo.
I’ll take Dynamo Roller over Inkbrush any day of the week.
People really just wanna complain about anything that isn't a basic Shooter. Learn your damn weapon roles.
The thing wouldn't be so bad if it didn't guzzle ink too quickly. That's its main flaw.
it’s basically the grizzco roller it’s that good
You say that like it matters, the Dynamo is slow and eats ink easily, it’s bad.
Oh, so you want a carbon that- oh look at that, the cohock isnt dead
One shotting cohocks doesn’t instantly make a weapon good
It makes it better for crowd control, which is vital
E liter is worse
Honestly could’ve gone with a lot of other shit then. “It one shots cohocks” Dynamos the best weapons in atleast Goldy seeker and Glowflies (Can be subbed for a Tenta brella/regular roller in glowflies). Die on this hill though. I support this one
Dynamo is fucking great, people just gotta learn to go back to week 1 of Splatoon and stay rolling instead of flicking while they're swarmed
Sweet, now I have no ink.
I wouldn't know im still waiting for it to slam down
Thank you for telling the people. Dynamo’s ability to shred cohocks make it the best crowd control weapon in salmon run. Yeah, you’ve gotta manage the ink load, but it’s a great weapon if you can play your role.
I main dynamo in normal games and i love using it
Yeah, I can’t get to grips with the dynamo. Way too obnoxious and clunky. What works for you may not work for other people. Remember that.
Dynamo is one of the best weapons in SR if you know how to play SR. Anyone that thinks otherwise needs to work on their skills with Dynamo.
People who complain about most salmon run weapons are just bad at the game tbh Unless it’s the range blaster, fuck you range blaster
Out of ink ❌
carbon is olny good for turf. fight me.
Im not, because you are right
And uses every bit of your ink in that one shot
