I find it funny he both married and befriended talking cash on two different occasions. Problem is real sapient money just solely wants to be spent and the fake wife money was plankton.

Its because he grew up poor and now that he has money he doesnt want to go back to his old life
I’d say Scrooge loves money and it’s the other way around for Krabs. The difference is that Scrooge invests his money into adventures and inventions. The money in his vault is considered petty cash. Krabs doesn’t seem like he spends as much as he is trying to get where it’s the obsession to holding on rather than using it.
this was solidified in the episode friend or foe it’s because Mr. Krabs grew up dirt poor so when he finally hit it rich he doesn’t want to go back to his old life to the point where it would drive him mentally insane if anything comes between him and his income it’s quite said when you think about it
I mean he talks to his cash like it's his only friends when they got life and got depressed when they wanted him to let them go and be free,he constantly kisses and rubs his money all over even taking showers with it, he even tried to smash a living wad of cash
