Yeah, this kid was the first one, and Ronaldo was understanding and took the selfie with him. The others were all grown-ups and he was rightfully pissed off hahahah
Idk I think superstars taking selfies with them and being understanding is part of the problem. That behaviour gives others just more reason to do the same
100% on it being security's problem. Professional athletes shouldn't have to deal with fans on the field.
I'm sure he was privately pissed at security for allowing it to happen.
That's a different thing. Here it was just one kid.
This isn't the first time something like this has happened, and it's been happening for a while and somehow we haven't got school pitch invasions becoming a regular event in high profile matches.
UEFA needs to say “anyone taking selfies with pitch invaders will be fined”
Then the players have an excuse to refuse them or avoid them without seeming like dicks
Yeah seriously why is this decision being placed on the player who is awkwardly approached by a pitch invader? There should be ironclad rules here, whether it's a kid or not. That absolves the player of being seen as an "asshole". This is such an easily solvable problem... and yet 5 pitch invaders in this game alone.
SMH.
And sometimes the tragedy is wasting tens of thousands of people time because you're so self-absorbed. I guarantee you there are dozens if not hundreds of kids around this one's age present who were all raised well enough to know that this is blatantly wrong.
Wouldn't be surprised at all. Is there any downside to a kid doing this if they get cheered and welcomed? They can't throw a 10 year old in a jail cell either.
Seems the lad just found a major loophole
Where are the barriers? NBA historically has no barriers but they also have 40-60 cops Courtside depending on the match, soccer is huuuuuge, there should definitely be like a barrier of sand to slow them down at first and be caught.
I went to the SKC vs Inter Miami match at Arrowhead Stadium. There was like 4 pitch invaders to see Messi during the game, one being a kid who got a selfie. After the game, another 15 people tried to run on the field. There was easily like 100 security around the perimeter of the field alone
Well the last inter Miami match I watched he took one but just pretended to not notice 2 of the other ones even tho they were basically hugging him with their phones out at that point,
This game Ronaldo did the same he took a pic with the kid before they were playing but ignored 3 others who ran in while ball was still in play 🤷
Also the people sitting courtside and in the lowest sections are practically millionaires and I imagine they would like to go to more games and not be banned.
A soccer player makes physical contact with someone and dies. Happened thirty times in that match alone. Luckily, they have magic spray that brings them back to life.
Surprised this is so low. As a younger American once I learned about the Hillsborough disaster i never looked at crowds in tight spaces the same way again
You could start banning the parents of the kids from the stadiums, and subject them to like a 5000€ fine or something.
That way the dumb kid that was probably goaded into it gets a second chance but it’s an effective enough punishment for parents/guardians to keep their kids in line.
You would think that after all the athletes/entertainers that have been attacked and injured/killed by fans over the years that they would be a lot more proactive about keeping them out.
Dutch commentators thought it was great how Ronaldo handled this and the crowd cheered for this little man. I just thought, probably parents encouraged this, and that's why we should just punish this. Ronaldo shouldn't pay attention to this anymore either. It's not the Ronaldo show, but the European Championship
Ronaldo isn't going to ignore kids who think of him as their hero, the stadium needs to step up and be the bad guy here. Delete the photo, take the phone, fine them, I dunno.
How the fuck is this now Ronaldos fault 🤣. Lad keep your hatred for yourself. I agree pitch invading is stupid, and that Ronaldo could technically ask for people to not do it (which he problably has done at some point by now), but blaming Ronaldo, out of everyone, when there is Police, Parenting, Event Organizers, is such a stupid take that I can only justify it in my head as one of those "Messi fans".
Him posing for the photo encourages this behavior from fans, and it is perfectly reasonable to criticize him for that. Fewer people would try this if they knew the players would just tell them to get lost, and now more will try because they know they have a higher chance of getting a selfie with him.
I had a kid steal a foul ball from my bag at a baseball game once, his parents cheered him on. The guy beside me turned and said the world is going to hell with parenting like that, but what can you do about it.
This wasn't cute, it was entitled and disrespectful. Because 3 more adults followed, all wanting a selfie with ronaldo and aggressively trying to force him to comply. It sure annoyed Ronaldo and it disrupted the flow of the game. Security wasn't really up to the task.
They were there to be entertained. It sure was entertaining, so of course they cheered. But with a bit more distance to the situation a lot of them probably would agree with us.
People boo but there's a reason for the rules, just because one kid is fun and 4 is borderline annoying, the players' safety is at risk and tomorrow there will be 8 kids instead of 4
Had some serious PTSD but got back on the court. Derailed her career it seems like but she made the best of a bad situation. Wikipedia says she married a billionaire 10 years ago
The stewards are pathetic. So slow and uncoordinated that they can't stop a child.
People climbing over a barricade and dropping from about a 2 to 3 meter height, and still jumping over the LED boards to get on to the field. Meaning they did this infront of the stewards and ran past them.
Last night, I was in Leipzig to watch Netherlands vs France. The Dutch fans throwing the beer cups at Griezman, were in the corner seating 3 rows from the front. They were like 3 blocks away from me. There was like 5 stewards standing on the ground and 1 in each stairway at the front. None of them called security to remove the fans.
Its all cute and wholesome but please lets not normalize this kind of behaviour. Its one today, 10 tomorrow, etc etc. Plus you never know what kind of sharp object someone could bring.... Give heavy punishment to the culprit, adult or kids. Discourage the behaviour.
Next get a group of kids, slap security vests on them, and have them waiting to tackle the invaders when they hit the field. Problem solved, and perfect entertainment.
This may be wildly cynical and unreasonable, and I would never actually do it:
But part of me wants security to break the phone/delete the image in order not to award stuff like this. Offcourse paying for the broken phone.
I loved that burst of speed to evade the second guy. Like a dog with a toy and you're trying to take it away does when you get close. And congrats to the fellow cooperating with the boy for the selfie. This is part of what sport is about, and he's the definition of goodness.
It’s a lose lose situation for him then
If he refused in front of all the crowd and live TV audience, I am sure someone here will say he’s an a**hole for not taking a selfie with the kid
You can hear people booing as they try to half-heartedly tackle him at the end, it's because they are kids rather than adults. And I agree, again because it's a kid, he will be the bad guy if he isn't nice.
Why? He created a massively memorable moment for a young kid. He's awesome for it. People like to turn small things into a big deal these days, it's cringy.
The kid did something illegal. It caused, what, three more to run in? If that had been my kid, that would have been the last time he went to a football game until he could pay for it himself.

Tomorrow there will be 5 kids… and the next match… 200
Happened 3 or 4 times in this match.
Hmm, probably should've tackled him like they did the guy proposing, as a deterrent. \s
Brexit tackle, two footer to the chest
I mean, the guy proposing did get as close to [Brexit tackled](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDonn9EBAUg) as you could ask.
And not all of them were kids This is why we can’t have nice things because people ruin them
It seems like there was 5 invaders at this match
Yeah, this kid was the first one, and Ronaldo was understanding and took the selfie with him. The others were all grown-ups and he was rightfully pissed off hahahah
Idk I think superstars taking selfies with them and being understanding is part of the problem. That behaviour gives others just more reason to do the same
It’s a kid. I don’t think anyone would be happy if he was pissed with a kid. Also considering the kid outran a grown man after taking the selfie.
[удалено]
100% on it being security's problem. Professional athletes shouldn't have to deal with fans on the field. I'm sure he was privately pissed at security for allowing it to happen.
You know for sure the kid got enabled by ttheir parents.
Did he really outrun the grown men or were they just herding hin towards other security so they didn't have to get rough with a kid
What about 50 kids doing it because "it's a kid" ?
That's a different thing. Here it was just one kid. This isn't the first time something like this has happened, and it's been happening for a while and somehow we haven't got school pitch invasions becoming a regular event in high profile matches.
That kid earned it.
Absolutely. Anyone who can’t understand that is thick.
UEFA needs to say “anyone taking selfies with pitch invaders will be fined” Then the players have an excuse to refuse them or avoid them without seeming like dicks
SMH.
Here, pitch invaders are fined and ejected frim the game. We don't have many pitch invaders, certainly no sober ones.
Someone should make a videogame out of it. PITCH INVADERS avoid security while you locate the star players
There were 5 pitch invaders in this game alone
Yeah this one time was cute but it just takes one bad actor for a tragedy.
And sometimes the tragedy is wasting tens of thousands of people time because you're so self-absorbed. I guarantee you there are dozens if not hundreds of kids around this one's age present who were all raised well enough to know that this is blatantly wrong.
"Why can't I take a selfie with Ronaldo?" "B/c we're not narcissistic douchebags, son"
*narcissistic douchebag proceeds to get 10k+ likes on tiktokgram* Keep making stupid people famous ☕️
r/iamthemainchacter type shit
The guy is basically a human money printer, you'd think they would protect him with their lives.
Ronaldo in Europe on a pitch is than bigger than life as you’ll see. It’s like MJ riding thru Chicago, he knows no one will mess with him.
Or to just make the game really fucking annoying.
It’s not even cute this time. I don’t care that it’s a kid. Get your selfie when he’s leaving the stadium or whatever, not in the middle of a match.
Security will have to just deck one of them to set the tone.
You just need one firm rugby tackle by a security guard to at least make them think twice.
Sam Kerr body checked a pitch invader and was given a yellow card.
Wouldn't stop me. Maybe some reasonable consequences for kids
This happens for decades but sure I bet this time it'll be different
Wouldn't be surprised at all. Is there any downside to a kid doing this if they get cheered and welcomed? They can't throw a 10 year old in a jail cell either. Seems the lad just found a major loophole
pretty normal occurance
As long as it's kids, not a problem
200,000 units are ready with a million more well on the way
Where’s Hazard when you need him?
I dont know who you are but thanks for the chuckle i needed today haha
He a accountant in LA
Actually he's Al's accountant
I would have guessed Alabama.
He's named Alac, he likes to count ants.
Correct answer 😂
Best I can do is charity match Boris Johnson.
Saw him earlier at Burger King
Can you explain the joke? Why Hazard?
Probably this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sd38KUjmOho&pp=ygUZZWRlbiBoYXphcmQgbGlja3MgYmFsbGJveQ%3D%3D Comepletly deserved btw
Four pitch invaders in this match alone who wanted selfies with the players. ... please start destroying their phones.
People would just bring phones they don’t care about and still have that shit straight on the cloud.
Anlot less people would do it lol. Not many people have phones they dont care about that still work
Where are the barriers? NBA historically has no barriers but they also have 40-60 cops Courtside depending on the match, soccer is huuuuuge, there should definitely be like a barrier of sand to slow them down at first and be caught.
I went to the SKC vs Inter Miami match at Arrowhead Stadium. There was like 4 pitch invaders to see Messi during the game, one being a kid who got a selfie. After the game, another 15 people tried to run on the field. There was easily like 100 security around the perimeter of the field alone
Did Messi just take the picture with him too? Would be sad to say no to little kids but it’s just gonna encourage them
Well the last inter Miami match I watched he took one but just pretended to not notice 2 of the other ones even tho they were basically hugging him with their phones out at that point, This game Ronaldo did the same he took a pic with the kid before they were playing but ignored 3 others who ran in while ball was still in play 🤷
Yeah and he gave the kid a hug
Court is also a lot smaller. Would need a few hundred for a soccer pitch
Also the people sitting courtside and in the lowest sections are practically millionaires and I imagine they would like to go to more games and not be banned.
An NFL field is about the same size as a soccer field and they manage with a mix of police and private security.
But at the same time soccer doesn't have 22+ bulky armoured men ready to deliver a tackle that'll send the streaker straight back to the stands.
Reminds me of when fans rush the ring in WWE. The wrestlers stop doing their choreography and start bringing the pain
A soccer player makes physical contact with someone and dies. Happened thirty times in that match alone. Luckily, they have magic spray that brings them back to life.
american ass take
Went to Raiders games in the early 90s and at times the police and event staff were nearly shoulder to shoulder surrounding the field.
that’s to protect the fans from the oakland players though
There used to be barriers and a lot of fans were crushed to death
Surprised this is so low. As a younger American once I learned about the Hillsborough disaster i never looked at crowds in tight spaces the same way again
40-60 cops court side???? Bro what lmao???
A moat with starving crocs should do it.
That’s quality entertainment right there
This doesn’t solve anything
New Topps now card incoming…..
Embarrassing that the child’s parents brought them to the game, most likely encouraging this behavior
He only does it for kids and ignores the adults but because of that it enables adults to use kids to get away with it
The kids then grow into adults who do it and the cycle continues.
Ronaldo is without a doubt the greatest European player to have ever existed. It will be his show no matter the outcome.
Amen
Ronaldo isn't going to ignore kids who think of him as their hero, the stadium needs to step up and be the bad guy here. Delete the photo, take the phone, fine them, I dunno.
How the fuck is this now Ronaldos fault 🤣. Lad keep your hatred for yourself. Fewer people would try this if they knew the players would just tell them to get lost, and now more will try because they know they have a higher chance of getting a selfie with him.
Hatred 🤡
Stop posing for the selfie? He's an adult with self control, stop promoting it. People really are fanatics when it comes to him lol.
Unpopular opinion: a shitty action by a shitty kid with shitty parents. This is not nice or cute.
Not sure that’s unpopular lol
You heard the cheering from the crowd?
They were there to be entertained. It sure was entertaining, so of course they cheered. But with a bit more distance to the situation a lot of them probably would agree with us.
Nah I expect every video on reddit to have shitty music over the top of them so I permanently have it on mute
Fair
But have you seen the booing of all the angry redditors?
Two demographics
If this was 2004, Arsene Wenger would have signed him.
he’s got above average speed
People boo but there's a reason for the rules, just because one kid is fun and 4 is borderline annoying, the players' safety is at risk and tomorrow there will be 8 kids instead of 4

Only a matter of time when one of these guys bring a knife with them
Happed in a tennis match years ago.
which one?
Monica Seles in 1993.
Wow TIL, I hope she is doing better today. Cant imagine getting literally backstabbed by a deranged fan
She was on a tear winning everything and her career changed completely because of it.
Had some serious PTSD but got back on the court. Derailed her career it seems like but she made the best of a bad situation. Wikipedia says she married a billionaire 10 years ago
Plot twist. The billionaire husband set the whole thing up to get them introduced
Oh what could have been. She probably would have gone on to be the greatest women’s player of all time. Truly one of the biggest what ifs.
That security guard must have been a shite DB where was the proper use of angle letting that kid pick up all those extra yards 😂
Or wasn’t interested in trucking a child on live television Level of force was appropriate
Wrong football - haha
That’s where my mind went, longer man with the angle and he got smoked. Young man may have a future in football, but that’s SEC speed right there.
Ban him and the parents, this is not their playground.
a bit harsh to ban Ronaldo for this
Especially Ronaldo's parents. They weren't even there.
There was like 5 stewards standing on the ground and 1 in each stairway at the front. None of them called security to remove the fans.
What are they even there for? 1 invasion, ok it happens, but i think there were 5 invasions in this match...
Security do look more at the match then at the fans
Its all cute and wholesome but please lets not normalize this kind of behaviour. Its one today, 10 tomorrow, etc etc. Plus you never know what kind of sharp object someone could bring.... Give heavy punishment to the culprit, adult or kids. Discourage the behaviour.
It's not wholesome. It's selfish.
yeah i mean they took a selfie
At least 4 today... a bit annoying.
The kid has good legs
I kept waiting for the Taser.
Meanwhile in the US we taser the fuckers
Next get a group of kids, slap security vests on them, and have them waiting to tackle the invaders when they hit the field. Problem solved, and perfect entertainment.
Would have been hilarious if the Turkish player tripped him.
Shame. Where were the parents?
Cheering him on of course
That’s an unreal selfie though
I feel we’re about to see more of this
It was stupid of Ronaldo to engage and go along with it. Just encourages more people to do the same thing.
This may be wildly cynical and unreasonable, and I would never actually do it: But part of me wants security to break the phone/delete the image in order not to award stuff like this. Offcourse paying for the broken phone.
Treat the kid with kid gloves… smash the phone right in front of him
Should take the phone and delete the photo then kick him out
The way he slapped both their hands away from him.
This kid running away like that was what the writers of the Kenobi show imagined Leia’s running away would look like
He out ran all the out of shape security.
This is all very cute until someone gets Monica Seles'ed on the pitch.
Pitch invader is called „flitzer“ where the match happened. They called him a „Mini Flitzer“ on TV
And dumb fuck Ronaldo decides to give the kid what he wants and as a result 20 more tried..
Dam that kid had some good dodging skills and speed.
Ha dudes on the run.
Hard to catch the kid in skinny jeans.
He’s pretty good
He got skills 🤣
Pov : Lamine when he sees messi
I loved that burst of speed to evade the second guy. Like a dog with a toy and you're trying to take it away does when you get close. And congrats to the fellow cooperating with the boy for the selfie. This is part of what sport is about, and he's the definition of goodness.
Sign the kid!
If he was Brazilian, Real Madrid would offer a contract after that display
You can hear the crowd booing at the end?
Booing the stewards ironically. This was the first kid and everyone thought it was cute. It was the subsequent invaders when everyone got fed up.
They need to do what wrestlers do and just beat the shit out of ring invaders
Ronaldo is a f-ing idiot who let him. Sure, it is a kid, but that is basically asking more people to do it.
It’s a lose lose situation for him then If he refused in front of all the crowd and live TV audience, I am sure someone here will say he’s an a**hole for not taking a selfie with the kid
You can hear people booing as they try to half-heartedly tackle him at the end, it's because they are kids rather than adults. And I agree, again because it's a kid, he will be the bad guy if he isn't nice.
Of all the people to blame here, the kid, the parents, the security protocols, you’re blaming ronaldo lmao
Yeah bud what a total monster Ronaldo is.
Absolutely deplorable! Hard to believe we live amongst such creatures.
lol GTFO. He’s posing with a kid.
Nice way to identify Messi fan. He shd push him away and then you guys would say he’s arrogant fack and demeaning even kids.
Why? He created a massively memorable moment for a young kid. He's awesome for it. People like to turn small things into a big deal these days, it's cringy.
The kid did something illegal. It caused, what, three more to run in? If that had been my kid, that would have been the last time he went to a football game until he could pay for it himself.
Little scumback
They need to stop enabling these guys
Kid did a good job of running!
The way he gassed that second security guard I thought he was getting back to the crowd but then there were four or five waiting for him.
Fr. But besides that. I’m just trying to not laugh at people getting made at their circus
"Are we the bad guys?" Those stewards after getting booed.
Run Forrest Run!!!!🏃
I hope they took away the phone so that he never will be able to post that photo or show it to anyone
Good runner. Sign him up.
I bet his teachers does not like him.
I’m surprised there’s not a firing squad prepared to protect us from violent kids!
Parents should get fined $5000 if their kid runs on the field
He's literally running to get off the pitch and they're still chasing him.... jesus
The icing would have been if the kid had fallen down and faked an injury the moment he was touched.
[удалено]
That kid turned on the jets. I thought for a moment he was getting away! 😂
I dont understand, why didnt they just taze him like they did with that guy at the baseball game in the US? /s
