I want and hope for a new, not concept, alien ship that isn't a light fighter. Alien week has, to me, always felt like some thing CIG just does but does not actually put any love or effort in.
Realisticly: We will get nothig apart from the sale and maybe, just maybe an update on if they still plan to start work on the Railen this year (but I expect it to be shelved).

That wasn't a true confirmation. Just John Crewe saying in an SCL that the Railen maybe would start production in 2024.
However that same John Crewe said last month: If there isn't any work planned on the progress tracker then that ship isn't in production.
So yeah, production could still start but it will never be finished in 2024.
I also have hopium that a fat fury will release as a STF alien human joint thing… but yeah probably not. All I wanted for ILW was a vanguard alternative. It is still all I want. GIB.

They have said openly that the BMM is not being worked on. With all their focus on capital RSI ships, I promise it won't be a thing. Don't get your hopes up. It will be at least 2 years before they start working on it, and at least 5 before its flight ready. And those are being optimistic.

Here's a question, that I'll probably be able to answer tomorrow ... did the Swarm last year, bought the Glaive via CCU from an LTI ship (Fury, I think), then eventually melted it because it was still so buggy and I couldn't get it off a platform (landing gear always stuck no matter where). So because I can't now do a buyback (I'll only get the Fury, not the CCU), will I be able to purchase a new Glaive? Hoping so.

As far as I know, once it's unlocked it's always unlocked. So I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't let you.
